I Have a Dice Left by a God

Chapter 90: Luthor Pie

At this well-known Harmony Restaurant near Celestial Capital's Canon Law School, Luo Xue had already reserved the top floor to welcome Saint's Grace Canon Law School.

"This restaurant was once the favorite of the Governor Luthor and was one of his early enterprises, with dishes all uniquely created by the Grand Governor Luthor," Lu Shuai said.

The introduction was not done by Luo Xue, nor by Zhao Qing, who had been trying to make an impression since Saint's Grace Canon Law School arrived, but found himself sidelined again.

"This fusion dish is called Luthor Pie, made with the finest flour, topped with various fresh seafood, sausages, ham, vegetables, etc., customized to personal preference, and uniquely created by the Grand Governor," Lu Shuai felt he was getting more handsome by the minute.

He enjoyed the attention as everyone listened intently to him, "And there's a secret, only passed down within our family, absolutely, absolutely, do not put pineapple on Luthor Pie."

Everyone was taken aback and curiously asked why.

Lu Shuai shrugged, "Not sure, but the elders in our family always mentioned this very clearly. Secretly, I think pineapple tastes pretty good on it."

Simmons and the others laughed heartily. Regardless, outsiders always held a degree of respect for the descendants of the Grand Governor Luthor, "Thank you for the introduction, Mr. Lu Shuai."

Lu Shuai sat down contentedly, but alas, at such a moment of showing off, Li Xin was absent. After all, how could one show off without the company of a brother?

At Luo Xue's suggestion, everyone raised their glasses and tasted Luthor Pie together. The grand banquet for welcoming Simmons' Saint Grace Canon Law School was in preparation for the Four Nations Competition. Li Dragon and Moncalleta have always had a good relationship, historically so.

Before the other teams arrive, Luo Xue needed Saint's Grace Canon Law School to spar with them earnestly to gauge their strength, and as President Black Rose, she also needed to make more friends. Having the same origins in Secret Castle was an inherent advantage without direct conflicts of interest. The Four Nations Competition was crucial for Celestial Capital, but for Saint's Grace, it wasn't that significant.

Celestial Capital was determined, and as long as Saint's Grace wasn't that eager for victory, Celestial Capital's chances of winning increased.

In terms of conversation, Zhao Qing and Lu Shuai were both adept, and Roland chimed in with a few words. Moncalleta encouraged going abroad to bring back better things to great Moncalleta, making their country more prosperous. Simmons even raised a glass to Roland, stating that a competition is a competition and hoped Roland could perform well.

"President Luo Xue, I remember there was someone named Li Xin, too. Why isn't he here?" Simmons asked nonchalantly.

"Him? He had some other things to do." Luo Xue smiled slightly.

"Is that so? I sense something familiar about him," Simmons laughed.

"Maybe you two are fated," Luo Xue replied.

She neither confirmed nor denied, letting Simmons guess. Having an extra Secret Castle Warrior was her trump card; Luo Xue planned to keep Li Xin hidden until the main competition to surprise them.

Simmons did not inquire further; he wouldn't let it slide and would seek an opportunity to confirm Li Xin's identity, which would directly affect some subsequent plans. He hadn't come all this way just to compete.

As the morning's richest sunlight poured evenly over the windowsill, Christian had already finished his morning exercises. Hours of intense spiritual ability training maintained his robust physique matching his firm will. He was now in his short rest period.

In a room exuding elegance and nobility, Christian squinted, savoring his coffee, a new product from the plantations in the southern Dao Yuan Continent, which only a very few coffee-savvy nobles could enjoy, after crossing oceans and climbing mountains.

Holding the exquisite coffee cup, the blend of coffee steam and sunlight gave a sense of fullness and tranquility. A sip revealed a hint of sourness, with a nutty and citrusy aftertaste. It was alright, neither beyond expectations nor disappointing.

Opening his beloved red notebook, he recorded some insights from yet another Round Table Conference, always his stage.

The experienced Taurus unexpectedly faltered, haha, this big clumsy bull. Seriously, it was a bit surprising. With his skill, he should've handled the problem well; such veterans don't fall easily, though recovery would take quite some time.

Gemini, alas, this is probably the gap in talent. I'm about to embark on the grand Three Lives journey; he's still wandering at the doorstep. Maybe I should encourage him. Both he and Taurus have benefited from Miss Aries. Hopefully, they cherish it well.

Aries... Miss Aries surprisingly doesn't understand her path. It seems the family doesn't belong to Dao Yuan's diamond tier. Although I was prepared, I'm still a bit disappointed. In the depths of my heart, I hoped for a love story's turnaround, but never mind, I've got it covered!

Miss Aries's talent is still commendable; opening two stars is good news.

An esteemed lady needs five essential qualities: ever-flowing confidence, enduring kindness, courage ingrained in her blood, gentle as a spring breeze, and an indomitable spirit etched into her life.

So far, Miss Aries seems to possess these five elements, although the family's reputation has suffered, her personal qualities compensate, making up the shortfall.

Regarding the explanation of the path, I was speaking for her to hear.

As he wrote up to this point, Christian paused, feeling he had hinted quite obviously, giving Miss Aries several glances. Miss Aries could ask him privately anytime, and he'd further explain and offer personal guidance. Cultivating spiritual ability enhances physical fitness, but the journey of cultivation is fraught with danger.

... Why doesn't she ask?

Could it be the hint wasn't obvious enough?

Or does he need to be more proactive?

No, absolutely not!

Christian picked up the exquisite golden feather pen, tapped it in ink, and continued writing:

"Miss Aries and Gemini seem to have had a fallout. I suspect it's due to what happened last time. Gemini is truly worrisome. I hope he stops troubling Miss Aries and learns the art of saying 'no.'

Christian was immersed in a somewhat uncomfortable mood, watching his already dwindling cup of coffee empty. It seemed he had poured too much valuable time and effort into the people at the Round Table Conference, worrying about them keeping pace with him.

Shaking his head lightly, he concluded: Geniuses are like meteors, destined to burn themselves to illuminate others.

Closing his diary and slotting the pen in, he suddenly felt a bit of backache—damn, it's exhausting showing off. Yet, as the knocking sounded, and the butler entered, there sat a charming and handsome Master Christian, the red diary on the table nowhere in sight.

"Young Master, the second Miss from the Marking Family, the eldest Miss from the Potter Family, and the fifth Miss from the Phil Family would like to invite you for an afternoon outing," the butler said respectfully.

Christian considered for a moment, then casually gestured, "Tell them I don't have time."
