And from that point on began everything!! ...

For the initial few decades there wasn't much happening in Aethrox Blazeshade's life.

Indeed, there happened many things, such as innumerable attempted assassinations on him or on his wives, pointless tries which he always neutralised with ease.

There was betrayal, coups and palpable tension in the family.

Not to mention every information organization in Erythron and nearby cities utilising everything in there arsenal to fish out as much information on him as they possibly could.

There were even factions formed within the family; where one supported him fully and unabashedly while the other though smiling outwardly, were conspiring against him inwardly.

There were many things happening in family yet none of those were a major concern or threat to His Family which only consisted of his wives and son.

However everything changed, when with a fortuitous encounter Aethrox obtained because of his son: Roxzeth Blazeshade. He finally managed to ascend to the next rank.

The Eighth Rank at his young age; thus becoming a Higher Greater Demon.

This event was like a thunderclap that rumbled through the whole of Erythron, rousing every one who regarded him as an ordinary peice of the game, from there passive state.

As even normally a Higher Greater Demon wasn't an existence that could be looked down upon in any Low-tiered city. It was an existence whose voice held weight behind it in any Low-tiered city.

In fact a Higher Greater Demon was someone capable of even building it's own Low-tiered city and governing it according to his own commandments, his own rules.

And even in a city such as Erythron, which was governed by two Demon Dukes; a Higher Greater Demon still was a crucial peice unlike an Inferior Greater Demon. Even more so when the said demon was young and a prodigy of his generation.

One capable of battling many of normal Higher Greater Demons.

It was after this achievement of Aethrox that the real politics started in his life, one which he obviously wasn't yet ready to handle.

Meanwhile the two main families of Erythron; The Aelythron Family and The Zelythron Family without wasting even a second were on his land within days of learning and verifying the rumors credibility.

However this time, they engaged in a non-physical confrontation with one another for him. It was a diplomatical, psychological and ideological warfare.

Where the two families used everything within there power to lure him towards there side of the game.

From handing out greedy and promising benefits to manipulative tactics, and from subtle shows of power to even concealed threats and warnings.

Indeed, even this was a clash between the two families. One where none wanted to loose. After all it was about there pride and dignity as a second phase family.

And the arena of this indirect battle was undoubtedly Aethrox Blazeshade himself. Which of course overwhelmed him. Considering because of his young age he did not have the appropriate experience on how deal with politics which involved two Demon Dukes going after him.

As, if he was well-equipped with this skill then he would've perhaps even preceived this confrontation as an opportunity for him to grow even stronger.

Aethrox was only able to navigate this treacherous journey because of his Mother and two competent sisters who were unsurprisingly very good at playing these political games.

Something which obviously they inherited from there Mother and not from him. Alas with there current strength even they were only capable of achieving so much.

Since aside from there threats and offers, the two families were also fishing out for information regarding his so-called secret to his swift rise in power.

Because being pure blooded families, they obviously didn't believe that a hybrid from a lowly background could have such immense talent that he became a Higher Greater Demon when he wasn't even a century old.

As even people with talent equivalent to him in there own families were still taking 6-hundred to 7-hundred years to reach the Eighth rank of Ascension.

That was even, if they ever could. Considering the difficulty of becoming a Higher Greater Demon wasn't a joke alright.

And as one would surmise, Aethrox Blazeshade didn't have any satisfactory answer to give these two families. Which obviously made the two families quiet dissatisfied since for them; it was them giving him face despite being stronger and to receive a negative response from him.

Evidently, they weren't happy with this answer. Therefore with each passing month the pressure started building up on both Aethrox and his family.

Afterwards only within a year, things had progressed very much and very fast that Aethrox was barely able to keep up and handle.

Though it was good that he had his wives with him during this time just as they had him for support otherwise he was sure that he would've long collapsed under the ever rising pressure.

There relationship was also very special and harmonious, where they were always there for him, helping him out on things he was weak on, teaching him many new non-battle oriented skills.

Not to mention, how they using themselves always managed to ease his burdens and worries as the Family-Head in a family where most if not all were plotting against him.

In contrast he gave them the comfort and protection they needed. He relieved them of there stress regularly, and gave them everything of himself just like they gave him everything of themselves.

Anyways in this year Aethrox had also developed enough to understand that things weren't simply progressing fast instead they were progressing very fast, almost unnaturally fact.

As if someone was intentionally making things difficult for him.

Someone who didn't want to see him rise. He also guessed that it should've been the same individual who was responsible for spreading the false information and many malicious rumors about him.

The while doing many other things that were proving to be very concerning for him. As Aethrox could clearly see that things weren't looking good for him.

Therefore it also wasn't difficult for him to conclude that the one conspiring against him was obviously someone of status, someone with both power and connection strong enough to be able to pressure a promising Higher Greater Demon to such extent.

And from what Aethrox knew, there were only two second phase families in the city.

Each having 3 subordinate Noble Demon Families, and according to his knowledge; amongst all these six families only one had beef against him - The Kyrvonthov Family. The one from which his useless father came from.

It was a family subordinate to the Aelythron Family which governed the western side of Erythron. The same side where his - The Blazeshade Family which had once been subordinate to the Kyrvonthov Family, lives.

Nonetheless, Aethrox still couldn't compherend what was happening within those six families, as even the other five families behavior towards him wasn't much different then Kyrvonthov Family's.

Which was very strange, something which had kept him awake for many nights because he wanted to understand what these six Noble Demon Families wanted from a newly ascended Higher Greater Demon.

For them to behave in such an unusual manner.

However with things they were now, Aethrox also understood that if soon he didn't swere his subservience to any one of the two main families, and provided them with his so-called secret.

Then he doesn't even have to be a smart-ass to know what would happen to him and his family of five; four wives 1and one son.

On top of everything, he couldn't even leave Erythron anymore. As the two families always monitored his and his peoples movement; the few ones who were actually loyal to him 24/7.

And they did this easily using the moles in his own family.

Envious worms who were eagerly awaiting his fall, worms who couldn't stomach his rise in power, who hated him for reasons unknown to him, reasons beyond him.

And one fine night, the thing Aethrox Blazeshade dreaded the most happened.

It was an ambush, a perfectly calculated move, one played by the Kyrvonthov Family, by his own father - Zeythrov Kyrvonthov... ... ... ... ...
