Dragon of Catastrophe

Chapter 131: Launching an Attack on Black King City

"This..."

The old man's eyes darted about, and he immediately said, "The Demon Dragon you're talking about is in Black King City, which is nearly two hundred kilometers from here."

As he spoke, the old man pointed towards the southeast, paused for a moment, and then quickly added:

"But that Demon Dragon is extremely powerful. I've heard that it once annihilated an entire kingdom with the power of a single dragon. If you're planning to go, you'd best be fully prepared."

"Don't worry about it! We know! Annihilate a kingdom? In this kind of medieval world, a kingdom isn't that impressive, right?

Even with magic, combat skills, and whatnot, it's probably about the same.

Give us a little time, and when we make some stuff, we'll be able to do it too."

The three War Wolves were full of confidence.

The old man looked at the three of them, with a hint of hesitation on his face, but in the end, he gritted his teeth:

"Since you three are so confident, you must be somewhat capable. I'll introduce you to an old adventurer friend of mine.

He's now a Marquis. Take this and find him, and tell him that Ah Pu recommended you. You might receive some help."

The old man concluded by taking a silver medal out of his pocket, engraved with words the three War Wolves couldn't understand.

"Hey! Thanks, old man! Didn't expect you to be such a good person! You seem like an old man unwilling to bow down to the Demon Dragon! You're such a good old man!"

War Wolf accepted the silver medal and praised him.

"No, no, no! I'm just an ordinary old man! When you're out and about, you should all be more careful! We're in a remote place here, free from the Demon Dragon's spies.

In slightly larger cities, there are many Dragon Claws.

Besides the Dragon People, there are many scoundrels who, to cozy up to the Demon Dragon, are constantly on the lookout for evidence of rebellion against the lords and professionals.

If you're caught and reported, that's a death sentence!"

The old man warned in a low voice.

"Hey! You're talking about that, huh! We're not afraid!"

"Shut up! Although we're not afraid, if we keep getting killed, our mission progress will be seriously delayed. In the future, everyone should be more careful and act normal!"

Glasses quickly stopped War Wolf from saying anything reckless.

Then, under the old man's guidance, the three of them set out for a territory known as Marquis Ronald's.

After nearly ten days of trekking, they finally arrived at Ronald City.

Seeing the walls towering twenty to thirty meters high in front of them, the three couldn't help but exclaim:

"As expected of a magic world! These walls are really high! There's no way ordinary people could have built them."

"That's about right! Relying on walls for defense is laughable.

If it were modern times, we'd have sent a bunch of armed fighter jets for a high-altitude bombing run.

Plus, with long-range missiles and laser cannons, destroying a city like this would be a simple task!"

"Exactly! If magic were truly that powerful, this civilization wouldn't be just like this. Let's hurry and find Marquis Ronald!"

The three spoke as they headed directly to the city gate and entered.

Of course, by this time, they had already changed into coarse linen clothes from the old man, so they weren't seen as perverts.

The guards at the city gate only gave the three empty-handed travelers a glance, and since they didn't look dangerous, paid them no further attention.

Within the city, stone and wooden houses stood haphazardly, mostly around two stories high. The appearance wasn't particularly exquisite, which made the three more certain that the civilization of this world was mediocre.

Though... some of the girls passing by on the street were quite nice!

Wow, is that girl with blond hair, blue eyes, and pointed ears an Elf?

It must be an Elf, right? The outfit is pretty trendy! Exposing those long legs and arms looks really nice, only the facial curves are a bit too rigid.

And what's with those little girls, about one meter twenty in height?

They look quite cute!

And then, there's this one with cat ears and a tail, is that a catgirl?

This otherworld is pretty great!

Wait a minute! What's that thing with a blue face and fangs, a body burlier than mine, covered in scars, with two basketballs on its chest, constantly flaunting around!

Whoa!!!

The three visibly changed their expressions and started vomiting right there.

The surrounding people looked at them with strange expressions.

Among them, a kind Sub-human man, slightly short at about one and a half meters, with somewhat pointy ears, slowly approached and murmured a few words softly.

The three didn't understand what he was saying, so they hurriedly pulled out another piece of parchment that the old man had given them.

The one-and-a-half-meter man was taken aback upon seeing it.

He began yelling and soon, someone wearing a blue robe and holding a wooden staff appeared before the three, waved his Magic Staff, and said:

"You're saying you're friends of Marquis Ronald? And if I take you over, I'll get a reward of a Gold Taler?"

The Mage stared straight at the three.

"Uh, of course! That's right, take us to Marquis Ronald quickly."

War Wolf nodded.

They could understand what these people were saying.

To be honest, the Mages' magic might not be powerful, but its practical utility is quite impressive!

The Mage discreetly sized up the three, finally nodded, and slowly led them away.
