The Necromancer's Fourth Catastrophe

Chapter 103: Maritime Boundary

Mage Fang Ka displayed a contemplative expression, carefully recalling the books he had read.

There are many terrains where no plant can survive, and the terrain of the island before him somewhat resembles the Anshui Stone.

Anshui Stone is a very basic Water Magic Material. According to what Fang Ka had learned from books, this could only be used as an auxiliary material for an antiseptic.

However, the effect of this antiseptic is not very good, and it was eliminated by other antiseptics long ago.

Therefore, Anshui Stone belongs to the category of ignored trash, something no one would give a second glance.

"Noel, spit some saliva on it and see what happens."

Anshui Stone would show a pale red hue when exposed to saliva, which is the simplest way to confirm the Anshui Stone.

Upon hearing this, Noel spat saliva onto the ground, and the place where the saliva touched immediately showed a faint red color.

Seeing this, Fang Ka instantly confirmed that it was not just a suspect of Anshui Stone; it definitely was Anshui Stone.

Such a large amount of Anshui Stone forming an island is indeed peculiar, but in the Chaotic Sea Domain, which is filled with strange landscapes, it seemed quite ordinary…

Yet Fang Ka always felt, could this island not be so ordinary?

"Lord Fang Ka, it turned red! Do you know what this material is?" Noel squatted down and tapped on the ground with his hand, "Is this thing useful? If it is, I can use Battle Energy to cut some off for you."

Upon hearing these words, Fang Ka responded, "This is Anshui Stone, one of the most useless basic Water Magic Materials… basically of no use."

Hearing this, Noel nodded and said, "Then shall we explore other places?"

Fang Ka pondered for a moment, "Alright, you guys go ahead and explore other places first."

Ensuring the safety around the island is the top priority.

Once safety is confirmed, Noel and the team can return to this island once more to try out his ideas.

After all, this island lies around their main island. While Kain, with his powerful strength, might not care about these details, Fang Ka needed to conduct various tests to fully ensure safety before feeling reassured.

The fact that it was a useless deserted island would not make him certain that it posed no threat.

Soon, Noel and his team set off again, initially flying eastward for several leagues, discovering only dozens of tiny islands, each covering around a hundred square meters.

After confirming no significant forces or large islands, Noel and his team turned south.

They planned to move directly from the east to the south, then along the south back toward the main island, and then depart westward from the main island, finally turning north and returning to the main island via the north.

Thus, a broad exploration could be considered approximately complete.

Fang Ka's exploration area wasn't too small, but not too large either, mainly within a hundred-mile radius around the main island.

Riding the Nightmare Beast, Noel and his team soon discovered an island approximately a dozen hectares in size in the south. Though not large, it was worth mentioning.

The island was filled with forests, inhabited by many wild animals and birds.

Noel was initially quite enthusiastic, but upon discovering it was just an undeveloped island with only animals, they lost interest.

They then continued along the south, making their way back to the main island.

Not until they returned to the main island did they find anything else, thus confirming the south was relatively safe.

Noel and the team continued departing westward from the main island.

The area was filled with protruding reefs, spreading over dozens of kilometers, purely a territory riddled with reefs.

If a ship were to sail here, it would truly be plagued with bad luck.

Noel and his team turned from the west to the north, then departed northward, heading back to the main island.

During the journey, a hundred-hectare island roughly caught their eye.

"Lord Fang Ka, we discovered an island with many Gana on it."

"However, I only sensed two Middle-Tier Knights from there; it's nothing we can't handle."

Fang Ka slightly narrowed his eyes, pondering if the Gana Kain captured were from the north.

While still in thought, Noel spoke again, "Mage Fang Ka, should we go down and deal with them?"

Fang Ka quickly returned to his senses, "No need. Since there are Gana here, it implies there's probably a Gana tribe nearby on the seabed. Do not act recklessly."

Among the Four Great Intelligent Races of the Ocean—Merfolk, Fishmen, and Sea Elves all adopt the kingdom system, but Gana are different.

Gana employ a tribal system, with ten major tribes holding supreme power, each overseeing numerous subordinate tribes.

Additionally, the ten great chieftains form a small council, deciding all major issues through council resolutions.

Though the Gana Race is strong, they too have many enemies.

The other three great intelligent races of the ocean, occupying all forces along the coasts of the East and West Continents, are their enemies.

The Chaotic Sea Domain is a place teeming with villains of all sorts, notorious entities wanted by major powers of the East and West Continents. Numerous forces also extend their reach here.

The composition here is overly complex, with waters running very deep.

Furthermore, this is a chaotic neutral zone, with Gana high officials frequently traveling to the Ten Mother Islands for various secretive transactions. Hence, this is the only area in the ocean not overrun by the Gana Race.

And yet, there is an island here in the north occupied by the Gana Race? What does this signify?

It's very clear; this place lies on the edge of the Chaotic Sea Domain!

This island occupied by the Gana Race is located north of the main island.

This implies that the island where Fang Ka resides is on the northern edge of the Chaotic Sea Domain.

This also explains why the southern island, about ten hectares, wasn't occupied by the Gana…

Ten hectares isn't large, but it's not insignificant. Given Gana's nature, there'd be no reason not to claim it.

Their reason for not claiming it is because it's already within the Chaotic Sea Domain.

Apart from Gana high officials going to the Ten Mother Islands within the Chaotic Sea Domain for trade, other Gana do not enter Chaotic Sea Domain territory.

Fang Ka genuinely did not expect that the island Kain chose for their stronghold would be an island on the northern edge of the Chaotic Sea Domain.

It's just unknown whether it lies slightly towards the east or west on the northern edge of the Chaotic Sea Domain.

Regardless, it's clear that Kain's enemies haven't found this place, so it is mostly safe.

There's also no need to worry about the Gana in the north; they won't enter the Chaotic Sea Domain.

Previously, Kain apparently captured Gana from this tribe, yet after all this time, the island where Fang Ka resides hasn't been discovered, clearly indicating the island itself is extremely difficult to find.

He suddenly got interested; perhaps he should venture into the Gana Forbidden Domain and capture one of the remaining Gana for interrogation.

For instance, how did Kain capture them back then, and in their eyes, what role does the area surrounding their island play?
