Silas sighed as he fell onto his knees, little Fenrir jumped off his hands and started running in his apartment as if it was trying to get familiar with the surroundings.
Silas's eyes drifted to little Fenrir as he said in a tired voice, "Enjoy your new home, my jackpot." A small, weak smile curled up on his lips.
Fenrir stopped moving suddenly, it was looking at the pillow that Silas uses for sleeping, and then Fenrir made its way to it as it started to sniff it slightly.
After sniffing for a while, the little Fenrir slouched onto it and made himself comfortable. Slowly, it closed its eyes and sleep caught up with it like it had desired the sleep for decades.
Silas looked at Fenrir, a small, tired, but warm smile curled up on his lips. "I don't want to say it, but that's definitely cute." Silas went closer to it and patted its head.
Fenrir flinched slightly as if it was feeling wa.m, Silas's touch was comforting the little Fenrir as if they both knew each other for a while; the pact between the two had now connected both of them.
Silas rested his back next to the bed, leaning in slightly as he relaxed his body. "System, can we continue with the lectures of the Archangel Michael?"
Silas said as he rested his head on the corner of the bed and looked at the ceiling. His hand was on the head of the little Fenrir and was patting it.
[No, Host.]
[You can't, why? You're poor, poorer than beggars, you don't even have ten dollars in your bank account now.]
A vein popped up from Silas's forehead, teeth gritted as his voice came out low, visibly annoyed. "You little shit, you didn't have to put it that way."
[I'm not lying, host.]
Silas let out a deep sigh. "Fine, I have a few reserves of the mana-cores which I took from the monsters I slain in the D-Rank dungeon, I'll go and sell them." Silas pushed himself up, standing back on his two feet now.
---[Perfect idea, host.]
[Inventory:]
[Mana cores (D-): 25X]
[Mana cores (D+): 8X]
[Mana cores (D): 12X]
---
Silas looked at the screen, which was reflecting his inventory. "Hmm, I think I'll be able to get at least 15k bucks with this much, let's go and find out about it."
Silas walked towards the wardrobe and slid its door open, took a new T-shirt out of it and a black coat. "My current T-shirt is completely ruined because of the fight against those Snow Elves."
A small sigh escaped from his lips as he scratched the back of his neck.
After he put the new clothes on, he finally left his apartment, but before closing the door, he looked at little Fenrir.
Who was sleeping like an actual baby on his pillow. A warm smile curled up on his lips as he shut the door with a small thud.
Silas made his way to the nearby supplement store where he could sell his items. When he reached there.
He looked at the board which was on top of the shop. "Official Supplement Store." Silas entered inside of it.
Inside, there were three sections in that store. The first section, in which Silas just eenteredcontained the weapons.
There were tens of racks kept next to the wall in a systematic manner; he swords, staffs, spears, maces, and daggers were stacked onto those racks in a nice and clean manner.
Those racks were decorated with lights, which provided a bright glow to them. Some were glowing with white, some with blue and some with red.
Silas looked at the counter, which was next to the rack that contained the swords. A man who seemed to be in his mid-thirties was sitting on a chair, reading a newspaper; he was wearing specs.
Silas slowly made his way towards there. When he finally reached there, his voice came slowly, a bit polite. "Sir, I want to sell my mana-cores. Where can I sell them?"
The guy didn't look up from the newspaper and still kept reading it, his voice came a bit bored. "Go to the third section of the shop."
Silas gave a small nod as he said, "Thanks, mister." As he said that, he then made his way to the third section of the shop, which was connected to the second section.
Silas didn't waste any time looking at any items that were in the second section. When he reached the third section of the shop.
He looked at a woman who was standing next to the rack holding some potions, which she was putting on the shelf, which were glimmering with the red lighting.
Silas approached. The woman seemed to be young, around the age of twenty-five. Her eyes were black, and her hair was brow.
She was wearing a white top with a black skirt, and long white socks were on her legs which covering them till the knees.
Silas looked at her as his voice came low. "I'm here to sell the mana-cores."
She then racked the potion, nd without looking at Sil, as she walked to the coun. HeHeroice came flat. "Follow me."
Silas didn't think twice and did as she told him to; he followed her to the counter, and then she sat in the chair and looked at Silas. "Okay, put all of your mana-cores onto this table."
Silas nodded as he put all of the mana-cores that he had with him. He had brought a carry bag because he couldn't reveal that he owned a personal inventory.
After Silas put all of his mana-cores on the counter, his voice came firm. "I have 25 D- cores, 12 D-Rank cores and 8 D+ Rank cores." Silas looked the woman in her eyes as he pointed at the cores one by one.
She then opened her computer and started typing something in it. After she was done, her voice came steady. "So, mister. The total amount of all this would be 25k dollars. Pleasee give me your bank details so I can forward the money into it."
Silas didn't think twice before he pulled his smartphone out of his pants' right pocket, showed her the details.
The woman noted all of Silas's details in a device that was used for the transactions, and then she forwarded the money to his bank account.
Silas got the notification instantly. He checked it:
[Money Received: 25k]
A small smile curled up on Silas's lips as he bowed and said, "Thanks, miss." And then he turned backwards and left the store.
