My Ultimate Life-Stealing System Made Me Invincible

Chapter 47: Carter VS Dylan.

Then the voice of the announcer rang through the speakers once again. "The first match of the day will start now."

Carter was standing next to his minions, arms crossed as he brushed his hair with his hand. "Bring me my sword, Carl."

Carl didn't waste a second and rushed to the table where their stuff was. He picked up the sword of Carter; it was a longsword. The hilt of it was made with dark iron, and the sword's blade was shining as the light ray fell onto it.

When Carl reached there, he bowed down slightly as he extended his hand and gave it to Carter.

Carter took the sword from him and put it on his shoulder, slightly resting it as he moved towards the fight stage.

The man who had to fight Carter was a tall boy, hair was dark brown and he seemed to be around the age of twenty. Dylan was already there, standing on the stage.

Carter entered the match area. The room's walls were made of thick glass. Inside the room was a huge stage on which the contestants had to fight; the speakers were on each corner of the room.

The moment Carter entered the stage, the announcer's voice came. "Both the contestants should greet each other."

Carter and Dylan both bowed slightly in unison, and their voices came at the same time. "Hope we have a nice match."

The announcer's voice came again. "The rules are simple: don't hurt someone when the match is over, don't hurt someone when they have already given up, and don't kill."

The announcer took a small pause as his voice roared from the speakers once again. "The Match Begins."

Dylan dashed towards Carter as he pulled his daggers out from their sheath, which was stuck to his back. The daggers were slightly curved, and they had small cuts on their edges.

A small smirk curled up on Carter's lips. His voice came low, but the tone was filled with mockery. "Well, aren't you rushing to finish it so soon, friend?"

He suddenly moved, swung his longsword in a long sweep, which made Dylan jump backwards.

A small groan escaped Dylan's mouth as his voice came out loud. "Why don't we just fight and run our mouths less?"

Carter's grin widened. "Isn't it what your dead sister said?"

Dylan's head dropped down slightly, a vein popped from his forehead, and he threw his dagger towards Carter and dashed without waiting a single second.

He twisted his wrist slightly and drove his dagger forward as he tried to slash Carter's gut.

Carter shifted backwards and kicked Dylan in his stomach; the kick to his jaw followed behind. Carter swung his longsword, slashing Dylan's chest, and then jumped in the air as he twisted his body, and then came a kick to Dylan's temple.

The kick made him fly straight into the wall. Dylan fell onto the ground with a loud thud.

Dylan's eyes started to shut slowly, and sweat formed on his forehead as his gaze was still fixated on Carter, who was slowly walking towards him.

A wide smirk was on Carter's lips. His steps were slow as his voice came low. "You're so foolish, Dylan. You actually fell for my mockery, or should I call it sibling love?"

Dylan's fingers twitched as he groaned slightly. "Don't talk about my sister with your foul mouth..." His voice came low, struggling to even let a single word out.

When Carter reached near Dylan, he leaned down to his face and said, "I'm sorry that I did that to your sister in the past. That was not my fault, you know?" A small smile curled up on his face.

Dylan's fingers twitched as his fists clenched. He lifted his head and spat on Carter's face.

Saliva fell on Carter's eye. Carter raised his hand slightly as he wiped the saliva with the back of his hand.

Carter's eyes twitched slightly as he extended his hand and grabbed Dylan by his hair and lifted his head in the air, and looked him in his eyes. His voice came deep. "You little piece of shit."

He then lifted Dylan and made him stand on his two feet. He threw his sword on the ground and grabbed the collar of Dylan with both of his hands.

Dylan was struggling to maintain his balance. His eyes were still staring into his own eyes.

A slap suddenly came at Dylan's cheek as a loud groan escaped through his lips.

Carter's voice came low. "How dare you spit on me?" He said, his tone filled with fury.

He slightly raised his hand and twisted it, then swung it towards Dylan's shoulder. It made an impact with a loud thud.

Dylan fell onto the ground as he clenched his shoulder with his other hand, looking at Carter.

Carter looked down at him for a while, then turned back and started walking towards the exit of the match room.

The announcer's voice came out loud from the speakers. "And we have got the winner of our first match, and that is Carter Hale."

Two men came running from the door as they rushed towards Dylan, who was sitting there while giving support to his dislocated shoulder joint.

They picked Dylan up and put him in a small bed, which they brought with them, and took him to the infirmary.

Carter came back to the waiting room, where the other hunters and Silas were. Silas's eyes were fixated on the screen, but then shifted to Carter when he entered.

Silas didn't show any emotions, but his fists clenched slightly. 'This motherfucker is so sly, he tries to be polite, but just now he broke someone's arm without any reason.'

A small sigh escaped through his mouth as he muttered under his breath. "I don't know, but I feel like I should take revenge for that guy."
