My Ultimate Life-Stealing System Made Me Invincible

Chapter 59: GIVE ME MY MONEY!!!

A smile was curled up on his face, his hair was messy, and bruises were all over his body. "Hey!."

Mia's eyes shot up instantly, looking at Silas's worn-out face through the glass window.

She removed the headphones that were on her head, fingers stopped typing on the holographic keyboard.

A smile crept on her lips as she got up from her chair and walked out of the room.

When she reached in front of Silas, her voice came out low, but the tone was cheesy. "One more miracle, eh?"

She took a small pause, she sighed as she looked straight in the eyes of Silas and continued. "You just advanced to the B-Rank, and you already defeated the A-Rank hunter? On top of that, it was Carter."

Her hands raised slightly as she clapped both of them together. "Your potential definitely surprises me, Miracle boy."

He raised his hand and brushed it against his hair as he said. "It just happened, I don't know how." He shrugged slightly and rolled his eyes.

[Stop lying, you ungrateful human being.]

A vein popped up on his forehead, fists clenched together. 'You don't have to do the commentary, system. And I'm grateful to you, I just can't reveal it to the public.'

[But, it's fun to tease you, host. ꉂ(˵˃ ᗜ ˂˵)]

Silas's eyes looked at Mia as he said. "By the way, can you take me to the stage? I need my money."

Her eyes widened slightly, a confused smile curled up on her lips as she said. "Uh, you don't care about anything else other than money? Because money is the least thing that you could get from this event."

His eyes started to glow, his mouth opened slightly, and a stream of drool started to come out of it. "What else can I get?"

She lifted her hand and touched her forehead with her index finger, tapping it lightly as she said. "Well, first of all, you could get the A-Rank hunter card, you defeated the A+ Rank hunter."

"Then why can't I get the A+ Rank card?" He asked.

She turned slightly as she started to walk; her steps were slow. "Because we can't appoint you to that position that easily, that's the second-best card out there, and you have to meet certain requirements to get to that rank."

He started to follow her trail, eyes were focused at the front, feet were calm. "Requirements like?"

She took a few seconds' pause and then replied to him. "You have to do the mana test, experience, and a few dungeons."

His eyes turned serious, face unreadable, as he simply hummed under his breath as if he understood what his future goals were.

They both reached the room where they would give Silas his rewards.

The inside of the room was broad, the walls were painted grey and had the posters and frames of the successful hunters, in front, many chairs were kept in a single line, and multiple people were sitting on them.

When Silas entered, they all started to cheer, and a clapping sound erupted inside the room as a loud noise filled the air.

His eyes widened slightly, trying his best not to lose his composure, but he wasn't able to control a smile.

Mia waved at Silas, calling him towards the place where a lot of people were standing.

He didn't get fazed by the surroundings, by these many people. He simply made his way to the stage as he went to the head of this Hunter Association Branch.

When he reached there, the Branch Head extended his hand forward towards Silas, looking straight into his eyes.

Silas's demeanour didn't waver at all as he also looked straight into his eyes, hand extended forward slightly as he grabbed his hand and shook it lightly.

A small smirk curled up on Silas's lips as his eyes fell onto the female who was standing beside the Branch Head, and she was holding a bouquet in her hands.

The Branch Head took the bouquet from her and extended it towards Silas, a smile was tucked on his lips.

Silas's lower lip twitched as his eyes slightly frowned, but he still extended his hand and took the bouquet.

The door of the room opened with a loud thud, and a bunch of reporters came inside while causing a huge ruckus outside.

They started clicking pictures of Silas and also started asking multiple questions.

"How did you defeat Carter?"

"Was Carter too weak, or are you a hidden dragon?"

"Do you think that you'll get in trouble because you defeated a high-level member of one of the best guilds in the country?"

"Will you make your own guild?"

"Are you affiliated with some guild or any type of association?"

"What type of skills do you have?"

A vein popped up on his forehead, fists clenched as his teeth bit his lower lip, his lips parted slightly as a small sigh escaped through his mouth. 'Fucking dumbasses, I'll ignore them for now.'

His eyes fell onto the Branch Head, locked onto him.

The Branch Head's face had a small smile, multiple wrinkles were clearly visible, and his voice came out low but polite. "Mr. Veil, are you anticipating the rank up and your hunter card?"

Silas's face dropped as if he wasn't even a bit interested in that thing.

"Uh? Don't you want the card? Then why are you looking at me like that?" The Branch Head's face frowned, and a bead of sweat formed on his forehead.

Silas's voice came out low, his face was unreadable, and his eyes were fixed on the Branch Head. "I want," He took a small pause as his gaze didn't waver for even a second. "I want my money."

Jaw of Branch Head dropped, sweat rolled down his forehead as his voice came out loud and his tone was filled with confusion. "YOU WANT THE MONEY? DOES THE RANK UP NOT PLEASE YOU AT ALL?"

He shook his head slightly, raised both his hands up in the air as he projected them towards the Branch Head as if he was trying to tackle the situation. "No, it's not like that. I'm definitely grateful about the Rank-Up, but give me my FUCKING MONEY."
