Vale and Toy couldn't see the melee, but they could definitely hear it.

A mixture of snarls and growls was followed by shrieks of pain and devilish laughs. The crash of stalagmites dropping to the ground and shattering.

The sound of constant scratching mixed with the furious clamor of metal being slammed against the flowing gemstone sash. The whooshing sound provided by Salome's Quillstorm reverberated and reached Vale's ears.

The two women who shared scorn for the other hadn't spoken a word since the battle started — no shouts of affirmation, remorse, or terror.

But, while Vale wasn't able to witness the fierce battle raging on the other side of the wall or the appearance of the enemies, he could imagine how it was going by the terrifying mushing of flesh.

The two women were in no way losing to their enemies. They couldn't be. Not with their silence when compared to their attackers' screams.

Vale drew his gaze toward the small goblin next to him.

"We'll be fine…"

Toy, who'd been shaking a little, forced a smile.

"Y-y…"

Vale narrowed his eyes.

"Yes?"

Toy's voice was shaky, but it still held a tint of resolve.

"Y-you'd better be prepared after this."

Vale asked a rhetorical question.

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"I–"

Before Toy could respond, not privy to Vale being sarcastic, three beasts bounded around the wall and hopped toward them.

The beasts were akin to amphibians most have seen before — a frog.

Their faces were smushed, and their noses were slits on their slightly protruding face. Their pupils were slit vertically, and their protruding eyes were continuously covered by their freaky eyelids. Their dark green or dark blue skin looked slimy and sleek. They had three-pronged webbed hands and feet. And, rather than running, they moved in leaps and hops; however, these bursts of movement were incredibly swift.

But, unlike normal frogs, they walked upright, were the size of humans, and wielded swords much like the Goblins of Lust.

And, once again, these foes were easy on the eyes. While maybe not their faces, their bodies were at least.

Of the three enemies who appeared before Vale, two seemed female and one male. The male and one of the females were dark blue, and the other was green.

The women had firm tits and hourglass-like bodies. One of them had a huge rack while the other's was small. Oddly, though, they had no nipples.

'Because they're not mammals?'

As for the one who appeared to be a man…

'Dickless?'

The Anuran Warriors didn't appear to be wearing any clothes, so Vale couldn't help but question the apparent lack of vital reproductive organs.

"I'll take dickless and big tits, the other blue one, you take small tits."

"Huh? Oh."

After Vale gave his order, he brandished his whip. He sent the first attack toward his amphibious foes while listening to the occasional song being sung in his head by the system, orchestrated by his Champions:

The tip of Vale's razor whip split through the air toward dickless, but dickless instantly changed his direction and hopped to the side.

The next closest to the two was a small tits who stopped for a moment, grounded her legs, and shot forth like an arrow toward Vale.

But, before small tits reached him, a clash of metal sounded, and small tits was forced to stop in her tracks. Toy had intercepted her.

The third one, big tits, was not too far behind, but Vale begged her attention by cracking his whip at her next, forcing her to jump next to dickless.

'That went smoothly…'

Toy and Vale had succeeded in separating their enemies, but it was time to win their fights.

Vale rushed the two he corralled away as Toy indulged in a furious melee. Once he created distance between himself and Toy, Vale cracked his whip again, forcing the frogs to hop around and keep their attention on him.

"Grrreeeaaaaak!"

Dickless groaned as he planted his feet like small tits and crouched.

'He's going to leap, isn't he?'

The next moment, the frog shot forward with astonishing speed and forced Vale to drop his whip in favor of his sword.

He held the blade aloft and swung it in the path of dickless strike. When the metal blades collided, Vale felt the shock as it coursed down the blade's shaft and stung his hand. But, he didn't have time to feel numb.

As dickless was rebounding from his attack, big tits was in the same crouched position. The blue frog shot forth and thrust her blade toward Vale's chest. Vale awkwardly stumbled to the side to avoid the thrust while sending a weak kick into big tit's foot.

Before he could gain his stance again, dickless was already leaping toward him in another swift strike.

Vale swung the sword up and met the frog's blow. With their swords locked, Vale leaned back and kicked the frog away just in time to avoid big tit's next leap attack.

"Don't you guys have another attack!"

Vale was thankful for having been trained by Salome, even if it was a minuscule amount. Especially since, while not even close to possessing Salome's level of skill, the charge was very similar to that of the winged demoness.

He was taking great care to neither overanalyze nor underanalyze the situation.

However, there was one key difference between the idiot amphibians and Vale's Champion, other than skill. Salome had wings to control her momentum in the air. These frogs did not.

The moment they began their leap, they wouldn't have any control until they landed. It was obvious that Vale needed to exploit this detail to win.

'But how?!'

Dickless once again charged and forced Vale to block, then a moment later, Big tits was thrusting again and forcing Vale to disengage.

As Vale stumbled away, he glanced toward Toy, whose fight wasn't going too well either. However, while Toy was by no means losing, she was not winning. Green blood flowed down her left arm and covered her hand, while small tits had a slight gash on her abdomen, which continuously trickled red.

'Don't die, Toy!'

Vale was forced to look away and block another dickless slash.

'At least not yet!'
