A couple of hours had passed since completing Level 2, and the situation had grown… awkward.

Awilix was by no means unintelligent, but she wasn't what one would say… civilized.

Vale prided himself on being broad-minded, not discriminating against anyone, and not forming baseless notions based on appearance; however, admittedly, Awilix's personality could be gleaned from a glance.

The kitty had become somewhat attached to Vale… and it wasn't the healthy kind of attachment.

Awilix followed Vale around, and whenever anyone tried to get close to him, she'd back them down. It was not typically done with words either. Awilix would just growl and walk at them while projecting her claws.

That was going to be a big issue for one main reason… if Awilix didn't learn to accept Toy and Salome, fucking them and getting more Satisfaction may become a literal issue.

Actually, Vale could still earn the points from them if they pleasured each other… but the real issue lay in Vale's own desire.

Vale could hold back for a little while, but he wasn't going to stare at heaven when it was right in front of him with the gate wide open.

Awilix's pussy was good, but so were Toy's and Salome's.

Vale wasn't a particularly greedy man, but once he did have something, letting it go wasn't something done easily. Especially something so tantalizing. Something so… amazing.

It's not like there was a better pussy in the world than Salome's after all.

Therefore, this minor personality issue needed to be addressed…

Vale had actually expected Awilix to be a Champion because of the description his ability provided; however, her classification as an Affiliate, like Toy's, became clear once he opened her status page for the first time.

Her Loyalty… it was not 100, but 1.

At first, Vale thought it was a mistake because he'd watched the number above her head rise from 1 to 100. Then, he made a sudden realization. The number had been increased from .01 to 1.

It was counting toward the first Loyalty point.

This began to make sense the more Vale thought on it. It was why the Level and Tutorial ended when it reached 100, when, for all intents and purposes, any amount of 'loyalty' should have been enough for the Dungeon not to recognize them as enemies.

It also made sense to Vale why the number didn't appear right away.

It was likely that the number started in the negative, and all the actions Vale and Salome took increased the number to neutrality and eventually the positive from the moment they met Awilix and Toy.

While orgasms did seem to play a role in it, it was more likely that an orgasm just caused a significant jump in Loyalty.

Vale still didn't believe Loyalty was quantifiable, but it was undeniable that the numbers held at least some meaning. Vale felt the higher that number rose, the more obedient and docile she'd become.

Hopefully, it wouldn't take too long. Vale and abstinence didn't go together as of late. While he could do it with Awilix, he didn't want to reward this behavior. The best method he had for correcting Awilix's personality issues was not to do it with her when she kept warding off Salome and Toy, but only when she allowed the two to approach.

At the same time, he didn't want to risk hurting her Loyalty while it was so low. So if it were apparent her Loyalty was dropping, he'd have to do what he'd have to do.

Obviously, Awilix's entire purpose wasn't for relations. In fact, it wasn't even her primary job. The only reason any of them were here was to protect the Dungeon Core. To that end…

Iron Claw seemed pretty straightforward — it made her claws sharper and stronger.

The only thing that remained a slight mystery was the mechanism that determined 'how' much stronger.

Did her claws become stronger the more savage she acted? Or were there other factors?

Vale looked down at Awilix, who was purring incessantly while rubbing the top of her head against Vale's shoulder.

'Yeah… I doubt she'll be able to explain either.'

Vale sighed and looked over the two new Warriors he'd summoned after the battle. Just like Stacy, they possessed Traits related to fighting before ever being in a fight. One was skilled with the sword, while the other excelled in hand-to-hand combat.

After summoning the two extra Warriors, he had five remaining Aether, which he used to empower himself. Combining that with the occasional shard Salome brought back for him to absorb, he now had amassed 13.

As for Salome herself, she had 20 fragments. Ximena had 5. Vale didn't know how many Toy had. And the Warriors couldn't consume them.

All in all, he'd made pretty decent progress just one week after being summoned here.

The next thing on his to-do list had to do with Traits…

While he'd managed to use Rudimentary Shapeshifting in sex, he still had to learn how to actually utilize it in battle if he didn't want to keep being virtually useless. Plus, he still had one Trait, Ember of Lust, which he had no idea what it actually did.

Additionally, there was the acquisition of more Traits in general.

Salome had mentioned after their training that Toy had no Traits 'at the moment.'

Vale, after hearing that particular choice in diction, caught on that he may be able to get more Traits. However, he also knew that if such a thing were easy and/or possible, Salome would have told him already.
