Bloodmancer in the Jurassic Era: I use my Dinos to seduce Human mates

Chapter 76: Sleep-deprived Hallucinations

Jimmy and Rulya got along well, that is, after they touched each other's privates. For healthy people, this was the best way to bond with the opposite gender, so they got comfortable around one another.

The cold breeze of the night was getting to them, so they put their fur clothes back on, and stood alert. They were comfortable with one another, but the night was prime time for some apex predators to be on the move. Simply said, they could get wiped out in seconds if they didn't pay attention.

It was surprising how they hadn't been eaten while they were jerking each other off, it was unnatural, even, but they recognized it as an advantage, and tried to be more attentive now. Their pets were napping, to catch up on their sleep at least a little bit, so they had to wait, and stand on guard, for another half an hour at least, so their pets could get at least one hour of well deserved sleep.

Was it enough for them? No, but it was better than nothing. Both Gutaxun and Rulya's new pet had been awake since the break of dawn, they were tired beyond measure, and could use some sleep so they don't go apeshit at some point during the night.

Jimmy was surprised that Gutaxun pushed on past midnight. Over a day ago, he had been very insistent about his sleep schedule, and went to sleep around dusk, so the fact that he held off past midnight really showed how loyal, and caring Gutaxun was. He trusted Jimmy, and his commands, so he had kept pushing up until this point.

It was a grand portrayal of a good pet. He was big enough, so he could've protested the over-exhaustion he suffered, and yet he didn't.

Speaking of sleep, both Jimmy's and Rulya's eyes were burning from the lack of it. Jimmy had also been awake since the break of dawn, and Rulya had only slept a couple of hours over the past two days, so she was a couple of hours shy of suffering great, negative effects from the lack of sleep.

Hallucination was the most prominent side effect, and it started hitting her already. She kept seeing 'people' running around the grasslands, usually tens of meters away.

At first she was excited, because she thought that they finally found more survivors, but when the people kept disappearing, and reappearing two minutes later, she understood what was going on. She was no psychiatrist, she just knew she was tired enough to see odd shit.

"Do you want to take a nap as well?" Jimmy asked her, and added, "We're not making any progress anyway, we haven't found a single survivor, so you might as well take a nap. If you spend an hour or two sleeping, our chances of success won't be much different."

"How's that supposed to work?" She asked. "What if a giant came along? You can't kill a giant yourself."

"I can kill one if I get close enough," He said, "But we haven't seen a single giant all night, so we're safe. They're probably asleep, and, besides, what makes you think you can help me kill one if you were awake?"

"I did kill one, by myself." She admitted. "The only reason why no one mentioned it, was because they didn't want to embarrass me. But I did kill one."

Jimmy got hints of what she was trying to say. Well, he was mostly clueless, and a bit shocked, but he at least confirmed that Rulya wielded special magic, but that was about it.

When it came to special magic in this era, the possibilities were so random that they were impossible to predict. He wouldn't be able to guess Rulya's abilities in a million years, unless she showed him, or told him about it.

However, he also knew that most people with special magic were usually sensitive, and secretive about their abilities. Rulya was no exception, she was even embarrassed, which made her all the more secretive.

He treaded lightly, and expressed, "It's awesome that you managed to kill one all by yourself. It's one less giant we have to worry about tonight. But trust me, I don't need your help, so please take a nap, for however long you want."

To convince her further, he added, "We'll start moving soon, but you can sleep on my lap, and I'll hold you so you don't fall off."

"Are you saying that the best way for me to sleep on your lap, is if I sit on your lap, and maybe hug you… so I don't fall off?" She pointed out, "What if you get frisky, and try to put it in me?"

"I'm not a monster, Rulya!" He grunted, a bit irritated. "You'll be as safe as you would've been at home. I promise you."

It took some more convincing, but Rulya did eventually agree. She fell asleep, sitting on his lap, with her arms tied around his back so she wouldn't fall off. This was a bit awkward at first, but she was out cold ten minutes later, and they found comfort in each other's body warmth, which knocked her into REM sleep. It would take a lot to wake her up after this point, so he hoped that he wouldn't need her help anytime soon.

Twenty minutes later, Jimmy gently woke Gutaxun up. It was truly like waking up a sleeping giant, but he did wake up, and other than a few annoyed grunts, he did not protest.

Afterwards, Gutaxun went ahead, and nudged Rulya's pet with his snout, and woke it up too. Her pet was spooked, snippy even, but it did start following Gutaxun once it saw that Rulya was on top of his back. Its brain was altered to show absolute loyalty towards Rulya, so if the situation demanded it, her pet would follow her to hell and back. No questions asked.

A half an hour after they restarted their search, Jimmy saw something that he couldn't figure out, within the limited reach of the moonlight that reflected across the grasslands.

At first he was excited, because he thought that he spotted a survivor. However, this person he saw was far too calm to be a survivor. Calm, or perhaps beaten senseless by the elements.

In other words, it was slowly walking towards them, towards Gutaxun, a large Allosaurus Fragilis, and an apex predator in his own right, without a hint of fear in its stride. No sensible hunter would approach a dinosaur this calmly, especially if they were out here alone!

"Am I hallucinating?" He asked himself. "That can't be it… I've only been awake for twenty hours, I shouldn't be hallucinating."
