"This is the studio." Rowan pushed the steel slide door open. Behind it was another pair of wooden doors that needed a key to open it.
Rowan opened the wooden door and led Selina inside.
"At least we won't worry that other blacksmiths would take a look inside." Mater meowed while his eyes looked around the studio.
Inside the studio was a large open space with a large workshop table and several forging tools. A large electrical forge with a black metal outer layer was built into the far wall. It was currently off at the moment.
Selina approached the forge and put her hand on it. The black metal surface was ice cold.
"Let me show you how to use the forge." Rowan said.
Selina nodded.
"You turn this switch on, press this, and then this..." While Rowan was guiding Selina around. Mater observed the space closer.
He put his small cat ear on the wall and checked if the studio was soundproofed. He could barely hear anything from the other studios. This was a pretty good sign since they were banging metal.
"The soundproofing should make sure that no one would be able to spy on us."
The black cat then approached the electrical socket and put its paw onto it. Chaos flooded out of him and went around the building. Mater had to check if this place had some forms of surveillance. There was none. Except for a few cameras at the front yard of the AE Forges.
"This place is good."
Mater turned to Selina and gave her a thumbs up.
"We'll take the place." Selina said.
"Oh? Alright then." Rowan gave Selina the contract. "You just need to sign here. Here. And here."
Selina quickly skimmed through the contract then signed. She then transferred the amount for the first month to Rowan.
"Here you go."
"Alright. I have it. Thank you, Miss Isles. The place is officially yours until next month. I will send you the utility bill at the end of the month."
"Sounds good to me."
Rowan nodded then left the studio.
"Alright." The black cat stood up on its two hind legs and rubbed his front paws together. "It's time to create the Infernal Shrine for Bash. Turn it on Selina!"
Selina followed Rowan's guidance from before and activated the electrical forge.
The black metal forge heated up and its heart slowly turned orange.
The black cat approached the forge and felt the heat radiating from it.
"It is still a little low. Let's wait for a bit more."
Infernal Shrine needed sufficient temperature to be constructed. Similar to the cold requirement for the Glacial Shrine.
After 15 minutes, Mater felt that the forge had reached the required temperature and began the process.
The Infernal Master Signet flew out from Mater's paw and landed on the metal forge. Suddenly, the forge opened up like a flower. The middle of it was a sea of molting hot lava.
The sky of Aeliz City changed again. All the clouds disappeared and the sun became hotter than any other days of summer. Its white color slowly turned yellow, a bright scorching yellow.
"What is it now?" Alister looked up at the sky. Beads of sweat ran on his forehead.
Becky was doing push-ups in her home when the blinding yellow sunlight shot inside and almost blinded her.
Levy got out of the basement for the first time. He was going to enjoy the clean fresh air but bad news came at him one after the other.
The assassination had failed and all the mercenaries died. The target went inside the Institute. With all the hidden dragons inside, killing Selina was almost out of a question.
Then the goddamn sun was burning his skin for no reason.
"What the hell is wrong with the sun?!" Levy scoffed.
His grandfather, Mikael, watched everything from the window. "Another NCE, huh? The Houses must've been moving quickly these days."
Back in the studio, the metal forge turned into a metal black rose with its bud as a pool of lava.
"I don't think Bash can fit inside." Selina swiped the sweat off her forehead.
Aurora hugged Selina from behind, transferring her coldness to Selina and cooling her down.
"Oh yeah... That feels good."
The black cat meowed while Aurora whispered her cold breath to Selina as translation. "Master said there is nothing to worry about."
Mater then flicked his finger, calling out Bash from the Dark Grimoire. Bash still had one of his arms blown out from the previous battle. His Chaos Well was also very low.
Bash opened his eyes when he felt the calling of the Infernal Shrine.
"Jump in, Bash." Mater meowed.
"Heh heh. Bash bathes in flame!"
The large Infernal Demon rushed to the metal flower and jumped at the forge. His large body shrunk in the air.
When Bash fell into the lava pool, he looked like a small action figure came into life. The metal flower closed itself and turned back into an ordinary forge. At first glance, no one would be able to notice what was special about it.
"Let's leave him be. He will need an entire day to recover." Mater meowed.
The group left the studio. They locked the doors tightly to make sure no one would wander inside the studio.
"Now what?" Selina said.
"Now we go to the cemetery and the cold storage. Crow and Aurora also need to recover." Mater meowed.
They sneaked into the cemetery first to drop Crow inside the dark tree.
Crow leaned backwards to the tree as it opened up a humanoid hole to accept him.
"When you go inside, try to absorb the Chaos Spheres I gave you." The black cat meowed.
"Absorb, Master? Is it similar to filling up my Chaos Well?" Crow tilted his head slightly.
"No. It isn't. Absorb the power of Chaos to enhance yourself. Not filling up your Chaos Well. Rest. The Shrine will guide you."
Crow nodded and seeped inside the tree.
His white eyes closed. The five Chaos Spheres inside him spun wildly and released their energy into the Abyssal Shrine. The tree beat like a heart and a red color ran beneath the bark.
"What is happening?" Selina said.
Mater stroked his whiskers in a smug. "Leveling up of course. My servants also need to grow stronger."
Mater then turned to Aurora. "You are next."
Aurora pointed at herself in confusion.
