"Jiang Chen?!"
"Mr. Jiang, you're awake!"
Everyone exclaimed in surprise and joy.
Jiang Chen turned his head to glance at the crowd, smiled faintly, and shook his entire body.
Crack! Crack!
The scabs of Inner Qi on his body shattered, and with a single gesture, all the pure Inner Qi fragments floated above Jiang Chen's palm, converging into a fist-sized sphere.
Taking the sphere into his hand, Jiang Chen swept his gaze across everyone and chuckled lightly: "If you let your juniors consume this directly, it would overwhelm them. I'll refine it into an elixir and share some with you later. I was worried about the growing strength of the three major organizations while our own people's growth was slow—but now, there's no need to worry."
Jiang Chen's awakening caused everyone to withdraw their imposing auras and move to the living room of the loft.
"Fa Rang, go and call Mi Jiaro and the others in. Ha'er and the rest are core members of the Holy Court, let them learn about this as well," the Pope said softly.
"Yes!"
Fa Rang responded respectfully, stood up, and headed for the loft entrance.
Everyone became solemn, their expressions growing heavier; it seemed the Pope was about to shed light on some matters!
"Your Holiness the Pope, esteemed elders."
"Father, esteemed elders!"
Mi Jiaro and his companions entered the room, bowed deeply to everyone, and obediently stood aside.
Upon seeing Jiang Chen awake, Xi'er and the others looked at him joyfully. Jiang Chen smiled and nodded towards Xi'er and the group.
The living room had plenty of seating, but only a few Saint Realm Experts and Jiang Chen took their seats. In the presence of these individuals, Xi'er and the others didn't even have the privilege of sitting.
"Mi Jiaro, come sit by Mr. Jiang," the Pope said, gesturing to Mi Jiaro.
Mi Jiaro hesitated briefly, then stepped forward to sit beside Jiang Chen, his face filled with confusion as he looked at the Pope.
The Pope collected his thoughts and began softly, "The death of the previous Pope—according to rumors, he answered God's call and returned to heaven. But we all know that our Origin Star has already been severed from the so-called heaven!"
"What?!"
"Origin Star?!"
"Severed?!"
"Heaven truly exists?!"
The Pope's revelation caused Xi'er, Jiang Chen, the Grand Supreme Elder, and others to cry out in shock, though Dragon Saint remained entirely unfazed.
Elder Long glanced at Dragon Saint, a faint suspicion rising in his heart.
"Ding Tian, no need to guess. I truly do not belong to your era," Dragon Saint said, glancing at Elder Long and then Jiang Chen. He spoke softly, "In the past, I followed the senior Jiang Wuqing."
"What?!"
Jiang Chen was stunned, staring at Dragon Saint in astonishment.
Dragon Saint smiled faintly: "Mr. Jiang, when you reach the Saint Realm, I will naturally explain it to you. For now, let's hear Ye Hehua's story."
Jiang Chen cast a deep look at Dragon Saint, then turned his attention toward the Pope.
The expressions of the Grand Supreme Elder and others shifted dramatically, their faces heavy with concern. They sensed that what the Pope was about to reveal might utterly shatter their worldview.
"Mi Jiaro, Fa Rang, Ha'er..."
The Pope called upon the Holy Court members present one by one: "What I will say next may upend your faith, but please trust me—it is all the truth!"
Fa Rang and the others paused, their brows furrowing deeply, eyes brimming with seriousness.
"Origin Star is the term my generation, including Dragon Saint and other old friends, used to describe Yuan Star. It's enough for you to know this name!"
The Pope spoke softly, a trace of reminiscence in his eyes: "I, too, am from the era of Senior Jiang Wuqing, and the previous Pope was actually my grandson!"
"What?!"
"This..."
"Oh my heavens!"
Jiang Chen and the others were utterly dumbfounded, staring at the Pope in complete disbelief.
"A'erfa! A'erfa! So His Holiness the Pope is the rebellious Saint Heir A'erfa recorded in the Holy Court history?!"
Fa Rang exclaimed in shock, his gaze toward the Pope full of incredulity!
Xi'er and the others were equally overwhelmed, staring blankly at the Pope as waves of thunderous emotion surged within their hearts.
"Yes! I am indeed the rebellious Saint Heir recorded in the Holy Court's annals!"
The Pope nodded slowly: "Years ago, I uncovered certain hidden truths within the Holy Court. It was because of these unspeakable revelations that I was hunted down by the Court!"
Fa Rang and the others trembled inside. The thought of the Holy Court hunting one of its Saint Heirs for uncovering secrets was profoundly disturbing!
"You all know about the elders lying dormant in the woods near the Holy Court. But do you understand which era they belong to?" the Pope turned to Fa Rang and his companions.
Fa Rang and his group exchanged uncertain looks, while Mi Jiaro hesitantly suggested, "Are they from the same era as you, Father?"
The Pope gave Mi Jiaro a glance, smiling warmly: "I am deeply moved that even after learning I was once branded a rebellious Saint Heir, you still address me as Father."
"I do not know why Father was called a rebel in the past, but I trust you, Father—you will forever be my respected guide," Mi Jiaro said sincerely, looking toward the Pope.
The Pope's eyes revealed his gratitude as he nodded gently before continuing: "Fei'ersi and the others, in fact, come from the Era of Martial Decline before their slumber. They are genuine followers of Ye Hehua!"
"What?!"
"They are..."
"They actually followed God?!"
Xi'er and the others were flabbergasted, staring at the Pope, completely dazed.
Jiang Chen and the others showed intense shock, their gazes fixed on the Pope, their eyes overflowing with disbelief.
"Their slumber was orchestrated as a strategic move by Ye Hehua!"
The Pope sighed softly: "In the past, I also referred to Ye Hehua respectfully as 'Lord God.' But when I uncovered shocking truths and sought verification from the then-Pope, I became a fugitive."
"From that day onward, I ceased to call him 'Lord God.'"
"The so-called Lord God in my heart should be selfless, compassionate toward humanity, working to ensure a peaceful and stable life for mankind—not a figure who seeks to change or even enslave humanity for his own desires!"
"Enslave..."
"Change..."
Fa Rang and the others felt their minds explode into chaos, their breathing becoming ragged.
"Impossible! You're lying! God isn't like that! You're rebellious! You say this because you rebelled!"
Mu Lisi suddenly roared, his Inner Qi surging violently, his eyes glaring fiercely at the Pope.
Mu Lisi was an ascetic monk, the most devout believer among them, and the one least able to accept the Pope's words.
Xi'er and others couldn't accept it either but managed to maintain a degree of composure. Mu Lisi, however, could no longer contain himself.
Tension escalated, on the verge of erupting!
