Before going to lunch Elena changed her dress and wore a red hanfu with golden designs on it. She also put on a hairpin made using a beautiful purple coloured magic stone. And as the final touch, she drew a symbol of five pink flower petals on her forehead. It was actually a special symbol representing that she was loved by the Goddess Tiandi herself.

But for Elena this symbol had a different meaning. By using this symbol she was telling Tiandi that Elena appreciated her quite a lot and it was a great accomplishment for Tiandi. Without her acknowledgement no one would be able to complete the drawing of this pattern, so would be an undeniable proof of her close relation with Tiandi's divine realm.

There was a reason why Elena was doing it. Most of the royal court had a few dumb ministers who were too overconfident and the court of Tang Dynasty was no different. It also had a few people who were planning to somehow plot against Elena to make her do their bidding. And were they going to pull that off; even they had no idea about it.

They were so dumb that Elena was not even feeling that beating them up but she was also unwilling to get disturbed by their stupid plans. So she was planning to show off her connection to the gods to stop them from stupidly ruining her mood.

The central royal dining hall of the Tang Dynasty was filled with many servants from the very start of the day. This place which always had very little traffic suddenly became one of the busiest places in the palace.

It was precisely decorated with the best quality materials that could be found in this nation. A scholar who specialised in decoration was in charge of the whole matter to not tarnish the reputation of the Tang Dynasty. He made sure to give the dining hall a look of elegance without making it look gaudy. He was quite an expert at his job.

The foods that were going to be served were all cooked using the rarest material that could be found. The king even opened a hidden treasure chest and gave the royal kitchen a piece of true dragon meat to cook. This true dragon was something that the first ruler of the Tang nation had hunted before leaving. Currently its value was immeasurable. But if it could make a saint happy, then this price was easy to pay for him.

The king was not the only person who would be taking part in this lunch. All the influential ministers and high ranking nobles would be able to sit on the same table as Elena and the king. While the minor ministers and low ranking nobles would be standing by the walls of the hall.

The door to the dining hall opened and Elena walked in. Immediately everyone felt as if the time had stopped. She was covered in a gorgeous crimson hanfu with golden embroidery of flowers and animals.

Her stunning golden hair was tied in a high double bun style and that was kept together with an exquisite violet hairpin. Some people with a good eye and cultivation were able to judge that the hairpin was completely made by carving an extra large super high purity magic crystal.

The whole hall was awestruck with Elena's beauty and only came back to their senses when Elena stopped speaking. But nothing like mass panic happened as everyone here were people with high authoritative position and they knew very well how to control themselves.

Soon the lunch started and plates after plates filled with food were brought out. Elena soon started eating and put everything else out of her mind and only focused on tasting these bad boys. She was truly very impressed with the foods themselves. They were made using the best ingredients and the cooks really gave those dishes their all. Elena could feel the efforts that those cooks put in to make these masterpiece dishes and she really appreciated them for it.

Other nobles were also enjoying the food. Even for them this quality of food was extremely rare so they also tried to taste as much as they could. So the first half of the lunch was quite silent.

In the second half, down prized juices and alcohols were brought in. Only then Elena started to have small talk with some people. She was already acquainted with the princess so she started her conversation with her and her mother. Then she moved to talking with the king, the prime minister and other such high ranking people. There were still many people who were genuinely good in nature and Elena had an enjoyable conversation with them.

The king himself was quite a humble man. That was probably because he respected Elena quite a lot, but he acted very humbly in front of her. Still he was also an interesting and intelligent man so talking to him was easy and enjoyable. Finally before finishing the lunch Elena asked him to plan a tour of the capital for her and he readily agreed.

Elena was very happy with the outcome of the lunch and returned to her room. Then she started to plan about which places she wanted to visit in the capital.
