The mission they took was to exterminate some monsters roaming a nearby forest. This forest had quite a few monsters so it was a dangerous place. But the road going through this forest was a very important shortcut to reach a nearby city, so it was not something that the merchants could just let go. So that gave regular missions to the hunter association to clear the monster population of this forest.

Even though the girls had conquered a ruin, they had never battled a monster from this world before. From the books that they got to read, they got the idea that the monsters of this world were not the same as the monsters from RASHTROYNI. The monsters of this world were a lot more sinister and evil. In a book they also found down theories as to how the monsters came into being. They were not sure if that theory was correct or not, but if it was correct then what they were dealing with was going to be very troublesome.

As it was mentioned before, this world was shaped by the World Trees who were like the mothers of every being and that was true. World Trees were truly the mother of all beings including the monsters.

Not all the world trees had a harmonious relationship between them. That was normal as just creating only good or only bad type of world tree was not good for the balance of the world and it would create flaws. Youel had no intention to see flaws in her world so she created the same numbers of world trees in good alignment as the numbers of world trees in bad alignment.

That way the camp of world trees were separated into two groups. It was the good alignment ones who gave birth to elves and on the other hand the bad alignment ones gave birth to the monsters. At first it was decided that both of the camp would create land and divide the land in a fifty-fifty ratio. But then both camps started to cheat each other and soon the conflict between them escalated.

Very soon, seeing that their mothers were fighting amongst each other, the monsters and the elves also became very hostile to each other. Very soon, the conflict reached such a degree that both groups wanted to destroy each other. Youel could intervene anytime to end this conflict but she did not as it was the natural progression route of the world.

Then a large scale war among the two groups started which lasted for several millennia. But in the end the good side was on the verge of victory. But just as they were going to completely dominate the other side, the bad side took a drastic step and the world trees combined to become something sinister.

To stop this sinister being from going crazy, a few good world trees became seals and sealed this being for eternity thus ending the era wide conflict. But due to the effect of the combined bad trees, the monsters also became very sinister. As the price of sealing the combined bad world tree, the good world trees could not wipe out the monster race and had to accept them as a part of this world. That's how the current situation came to be.

At the beginning, just like elves the monsters were also intelligent but after getting affected by the combined bad world trees, their intelligence had degraded and now they were mostly only ferocious mindless beings who loved slaughter. So, whenever anyone saw a monster, it was advised to either kill or to report about it.

The type of monsters that the girls were going to face were called Hygenis. They were weird looking flowers with poisonous stingers and a large mouth in the middle. Their tongues were also sticky tentacles and they were could ugly. The current monsters of this world were generally very gross and ugly if compared to the monsters found in RASHTROYNI. But if the girls were going to live in this world for quite some time, then they needed to get used to it.

These Hygenis' levels ranged between level 100 and level 400 and to complete the mission, the girls needed to hunt at least 5 level 200 plus Hygenis. Killing a level 300 plus would give them extra reward from the association.

These monsters were not hard to find and this forest had a decent number of them running around. So the girls were able to easily encounter them. For the weaker ones Dalia took care of them alone and Eldriana only stepped up if a level 300 plus Hygenis showed up. Dalia had a huge advantage over these monsters with her fire magic, so she not only hunted all the Hygenis below level 300, she also managed to defeat a level 303 Hygenis after a tough battle. This gave her a huge amount of experience points and Dalia was one step closer to reaching her goal.

At the end of the day, Dalia managed to kill a total of 13 level 200 plus Hygenis and one level 300 plus one. Eldriana also defeated five more level 300 plus Hygenises, so overall they managed to get a decent haul. But Hygenis were not the only type of monster that they encountered. Two other types also attacked them and were killed. One species was called Manhagira and another one was called Vigra.

Just like the Hygenis these were also very ugly. Manhagira was humanoid insects with no eyes and only a lot of antennas as their sensory organs. On the other hand, Vigra was a disgusting blob of slimy liquid which had an annoying effect of increasing a lower level being's lust.

These two monsters were even more hated than Hygenis. That was because Hygenis normally just ate its prey and nothing more. But Manhagira used their prey as an egg bed and laid their eggs inside a living victim. As for Vigra, it normally made its prey to get mad in lust and then devour them slowly by submerging them with its slimy body and at the same time it violated the victims sexually. It was one of the most hated monsters in this world. So, after killing them, the girls were sure to get good rewards.

While looking forward to that they returned to the city. After selling all the materials to the hunter association, they got a decent amount of money. After killing a monster hunters could dismantle them for various ingredients. All the monster materials had high value and demand. But the most valuable part of the monster's body was something called corrupted gems. It was something that only a few of the monsters would have and as it was created by concentrating pure energy from the world tree even if that world tree was bad, it was a very valuable product.

Other than that, the material from a Hygenis could be used in creating various plant related products. The body of a Manhagira could be turned into very effective fertilizer and a Vigra's fluid could be used to create aphrodisiacs. As the girls were lucky enough to hunt two monsters were corrupted gems inside them, that total amount they earned here was very impressive.

The next day, all three of them dressed up a bit and got ready early in the morning as this was the day of the auction. They were not only going to complete the mission given to them by Hermes but they were also going to look for other interesting items that might be useful to them.
