Restart: The World Savior's New Beginning

Chapter 319: Ch 319: Mio vs Kolhdre (2)

After losing the support of the legendary formation, Kolhdre lost his above level 700 combat prowess. But at the same time, Mio also received a backlash for losing so many for her summons so quickly and her stats temporarily went down by a notch too. So at the current moment, both of them had very similar stats. So the final outcome of this battle would depend on their ability to utilise their power.

To get ready for the final showdown, Mio summoned two of her only remaining weapons. One was a large hammer and another one was a giant axe. Actually Elena was not very good with both of these weapons. Large and heavy weapons like this were very uncomfortable for her to use. That was the reason she decided to use these two weapons as her final one. It was an act of nerfing herself a little bit.

The pure white armour that Mio had summoned at the beginning was also quite a bit damaged. So her ability to take damage was also currently low. This gave a good chance for Kolhdre to secure the victory. He was also not a weak person by any means and as soon as he saw a chance of victory, he decided to go all out from the very beginning.

...

The battle began with Mio grabbing her hammer and axe and flying toward Kolhdre at full speed and Kolhdre created a wall of wind to block her path. But a single single large swing of her axe was enough to cleave through the wall easily. So Kolhdre started to create more and more walls while trying to create some distance between them.

Kolhdre was mostly a mage so his first objective was to maintain a proper distance with his opponent where he would have the advantage. So he fought very defensively while throwing some powerful spells every now and then. Kolhdre's best attribute was wind, so that was the element he was using the most. For that reason his spells were extremely fast even though the amount of damage they dealt was not very high.

So far, it looked like Kolhdre was dominating the battle. He was maintaining an advantageous distance for the whole duration of this fight and was able to even push Mio back a little bit. He was still very far away from victory, but the way he was able to control the pace of the battle, everyone was sure that he had almost 80 percent chance of winning this.

Kolhdre himself was quite pleased with how this battle was going on. But he knew that he needed a powerful Trump Card if he wanted to truly finish this battle. So while keeping Mio away just like before, he diverted a portion of his mind to chant a new powerful spell with more destructive power.

It was not a bad decision all things considered. If the battle was truly going on as everyone expected then this was a good move which was very much needed to end this deadlocked situation. But unfortunately the situation was not what it looked from outside. By diverting a portion of his mind and by making himself comfortable with the current situation, Kolhdre made a great mistake and created some major flaws. And Mio would not be Elena's clone if she was unable to take advantage of them.

All this time Mio was fighting in a way how a warrior or a knight would fight. So unconsciously everyone forgot and overlooked a major fact. And that was Mio's class. She was not a warrior but a summoner. Forgetting it was the biggest mistake of Kolhdre's life but he would not be able to regret making this mistake.

Mio took advantage of Kolhdre's lack of concentration and summoned several small daggers in his blind spots. Then she controlled all of them to attack Kolhdre at the same time. He was able to block a few of them but 6 daggers were still able to reach him. Kolhdre was at least able to save his vital points by slightly sifting his body, but still he was quite badly hurt.

But the biggest effect of those daggers hurting him was the fact that he lost sight of Mio for a moment due to pain and created a gap in his defence. Mio did not miss that obvious gap and was able to close the distance between them for the first time in this battle. But being able to do that once was more than good enough for her.

Mio's large axe separated the left side of his body from his torso and then she smashed him to the ground with a heavy hit of her giant hammer. Then finally she ended the battle by falling down from the sky and by separating Kolhdre'a head from his body by using the axe as a guillotine. The battle was over with Mio's victory.

...

After Kolhdre died, this incident came to a very early end. Kolhdre was the backbone of this whole operation. Without him around the other leaders of this organisation were unable to function anymore and were caught soon afterwards. The investigation also proceeded quickly and the culprits behind these incidents were found one after another.

Kolhdre had been operating this organisation for a long long time. For that reason, the roots of this organisation were buried very deep. That was the reason why even with a powerful person like Mio's support, the clean up of this whole mess took a lot of time.

The royal knight order and the second princess worked hand in hand and were able to contribute quite a lot in this incident. The first and the third princes were apprehended and were in the royal cell. They were going to get punished for treason but they would most likely be able to avoid getting executed as the high elvin king was known to be very kind to his children.

The vice captain of the royal knight order and the other knights who were working with the slave traders and the royal highness were given the death penalty and all of them would be executed in public to send a message. Elena was not very happy with this decision as most of the knights were just following their superiors' orders and were not directly responsible for most of the crimes.

In terms of responsibility, the two princes were way more guilty than random knights among whom quite a good number of them had no idea that their squad was associated with such heinous acts. In Elena's judgement those princes deserved the death penalty and most of the knights did not. But instead, the knights were going to die unjustly while the princes were still enjoying themselves inside the luxurious royal cell.

Those princes had everything available to them inside those cells. From good food to expensive alcohol, from sexy ladies to sex slaves, they had all their needs fulfilled. This did not sit right with Elena. The king had also asked Mio to meet him and accused her with the crime of killing a member of the royal family. According to him, she should have just captured him instead of killing him.

As Elena's clone Mio was going to the capital anyway, she was actually planning to overturn the capital while making sure that just and unjust were properly judged.
