As Elena was chilling in a beautifully decorated cafe while sipping on some caffe latte, she noticed a woman of about 25 or 26 sipping a bitter coffee on the counter sest while making a sad expression on her face. It had nothing to do with Elena but she felt like this girl needed someone's company at this time. So she went to the counter seat too after finishing her latte and took the second seat from the sad girl's left side. Elena ordered a cafe au lait next and started a conversation with the girl.

"Miss, I think a few drinks might be better for you in a situation like this, obviously if you're fine with it. And if you need someone to talk to, I don't mind being your conversion partner for some time."

The depressed girl looked at Elena after hearing her voice and noticed her for the first time. Then she became shocked. She had never seen such a beautiful lady before even though this city had a lot of celebrities. But after seeing the calm look in the girl's blue eyes and her gentle smile, the depressed girl also felt a little better and came back to her senses. Then she hurriedly introduced herself.

So finally Ji accepted Elena's kindness and stuffed her mouth with some sweet treats.

After talking with her Elena was able to understand very quickly about Ji's problems. The very first role that she voiced was in a famous game and with that she was able to gain quite a bit of reputation. But then suddenly a new voice actress appeared whose voice was very similar to hers and she was also a hero. So very soon all the roles that suited Ji were taken by her. That way, Ji was having a very tough time surviving as a voice actor and the roles she was getting were mostly for minor characters that did not pay very well.

For that reason, aside from voice acting she also started to sing. Her singing voice had always been good but Ji had never taken this path as her dream was to voice characters from famous video games. But now she was forced to focus on this talent of hers with the high cost of living in this city.

She started to do reasonably well in the singing industry but it was hard for a solo artist to go too far. So she joined a band as their lead singer. This was not a famous band or anything, but the other members of the brand were quite good too so she was happy with it.

Their fame started to increase and with that they got more shows and the amount of money they earned from the ticket sale also started to increase. But then another problem struck them. One group of male heroes got impressed by her group of girls' performances. This was supposed to be a good thing but what the heroes demanded was absurd.

They wanted all the girls of this band to become their personal fucktoy and stay with the heroes to give them a live naked show and to entertain them with their bodies. Ji Jae Min found this to be absurd and rejected it immediately. But the next day, she was astonished to see that the other three girls had all accepted their proposal and had spent the last night in a orgy with the heroes.

Ji Jae Min immediately left the group and came back to her apartment but the heroes were not people who would give up so easily and according to them the main attraction of her former band was all four of them together. So not having the main singer under them was imperfection and they could not accept that.

So the heroes started to pressure her in many ways to accept their proposal. Even though the heroes had higher status, there were some laws preventing them from doing whatever they wanted. Once upon a time, the heroes had brought many tragedies to the common population, so the kind people from the hero association passed various laws to protect the general population from the heroes.

That was the reason why the heroes were unable to directly force Ji Jae Min to become their bitch. So that started to work in the background to force her hand. Ji started to receive even less work than before as a voice actor and almost all the places also started to reject her for shows. The only reason why she was still able to live in this city was because of the donations from some of her loyal fans. But those were not surefire income and it was just barely enough to get two meals everyday.

After a very long time, she had finally managed to get a voice acting job outside of her agency by applying for it personally. This company was based on a different nation so the heroes had no power there and that was the reason why she was able to get the job.

But then her agency called her this morning and told her that she had violated their contract by taking a job outside the agency and she would be fined with a hefty bill of 5 million yon. Obviously Ji Jae Min did not have the economic capability to pay such a high price. Knowing that the agency offered her a different deal. She could get rid of this fine by accepting the offer of the heroes and by selling her talents and body to them. She only had a deadline of 7 days to make the decision.

Ji Jae Min really wanted to sink in her sorrows by gulping down alcohol, but she had a recording this evening and that was the reason why she did not want to drink at a time like this. So she was thinking about how her dreams were all in shambles as instead of becoming a famous voice actress which she had dreamed off, she was soon going to become just a prostitute entangling intimately with the same people who ruined her life. She was thinking all that while sipping some extra bitter coffee just like her life.

That was the moment when Elena talked to her and Ji Jae Min was extremely grateful to her. She had some suicidal thoughts before but now she was feeling a bit calmer. Obviously her problems were still there and the situation was as bad as before. But with a calmer mind, she might be able to think about something to get out of the situation or to at least buy a little bit of extra time.

As it was almost her time to go to the studio for the recording, she stood up from her seat and thanked Elena with a sincere and deep bow. Then she bid her goodbye and tried to get out of the cafe. Elena then suddenly asked her if she was allowed to bring a friend in the studio and Ji said that it was allowed if the friend did not interfere with the recording process. Hearing that Elena smiled and asked Ji Jae Min to bring her along.

When Ji asked why Elena told her that she was interested in seeing an actual recording process and also told her that she was planning to invite Ji for a few drinks after the recording. Ji almost cried after seeing Elena's kindness and happily accepted her offer.

So the unfortunate voice actress and the strongest person of this world went toward the recording studio where Ji Jae Min needed to work.
