Elena, Tomoe, Kaya and Alisia were given the best seats to observe the ceremony. This ceremony was taking place in the central hall of the temple. In the middle of the hall, there was a throne made of gold on which a life-size statue of Scarlett was sitting in an imposing manner.

This statue of hers was made using a drop of her own blood. So it was not just any normal statue but a statue holding divine powers. In the times of need, Scarlett was able to even send a decent portion of her powers in this statue. Her sitting on the golden throne like an arrogant empress represented the concept of this temple, which was Pride.

There was a large altar-like structure in front of the throne and that was the location where the ceremony was going to happen. This central area was surrounded by various levels filled with seats and those seats were here for the guests to witness the ceremony. Elena and her groups were currently sitting in exactly that area.

But they were not the only audience to this grand blessing ceremony. When it was decided that Leshia and Anne would be getting the blessing, all the influential people of the city were informed about this. This was a big deal and the whole ceremony would be broadcasted to all the citizens. So it was not something that they were keeping a secret.

That young priest was not punished because he told that Leister guy about it, instead the main reason for his permission was because he did not stop Leister from going to the reception room where he was not allowed to go. So the temple itself wanted the influential people of the city to witness the ceremony.

So as Elena and her group took their seats, many more people started to appear. They were mostly noble vampires living in this city but a few rich and influential common vampires were also able to enter this room.

One old and dandy looking gentleman came toward Alisia after he entered the room. This was a very common occurrence as Alisia was famous and most of the people entering this room had come to greet her. But this man did not just greet her but instead he bowed to her very deeply and started to apologise again and again.

It turned out that this man was actually Leister's father, baron Danwell. He was extremely ashamed of his son's behaviour so to save some face for his family, he himself came to ask for an apology to the involved party. When he heard that his foolish and overconfident son had actually tried to assault the genius daughter of the city lord, he almost fainted in fright.

Alisia had a lot of influence in the city. If she wanted, even just the common population would be able to destroy their whole house in no time. After that Baron Danwell also asked others for their forgiveness. Kaya also held a huge influence in the city as the guild master of the adventurer guild and also as the war hero who had protected the city from the monster invasion. The person who appeared from that door was none other than Head Priestess Pristela. She was wearing a pure white dress with golden borders which made her to look even more sacred than usual. There was a long staff in her hand with an unusual golden design and blood rings floating around it.

This staff was a legendary artifact that was usable only by the head priestess for various ceremonies. As soon as the vampires saw this staff, they all bowed their heads in reverence and started to prey to their goddess.

Pristela stood before the throne where the goddess' statue was sitting and held the staff with both of her hands. Then she started praying and the staff started to glow with a golden light. After some time, the blood rings floating around the staff separated from it and created various symbols on the altar. Immediately the divine sacred atmosphere in the room became even more intense.

Then Pristela asked the receivers of the blessing to come forward. The door from where she entered opened again and this time the main characters of the day showed up. Leshia and Anne both were wearing a simple white one piece dress but that simple dress had a special aura around it. It made both of the ladies to look even more beautiful.

Two priests and two priestesses were surrounding them from four sides. Then when the sisters took their positions on the altar, those acolytes also started to pray while standing at the four corners of the altar. Leshia and Anne both sat on their knees and waited for Pristela to start.

After seeing that everyone was in the correct position, Pristela started the ceremony. More priests and priestesses came out from other doors present in the room and started to perform various kinds of divine arts. She declared that by the will of the goddess, Leshia and Anne would be receiving the blessings of ascension from the goddess.
