Thoma was a small town with only about 2000 vampires living in it. The people of the city lived a very comfortable life with the large metropolitan city Utreyana just a few hours away from them. The main industry of this city was cotton and clothing, so most of the people of this city were either tailors or designers.

In this peaceful city, a problem had been happening for the last few weeks. Two of the biggest clothing companies doing business had been quarreling with one another which had destroyed the regular peaceful atmosphere of the city. The citizens also wanted to end this conflict as soon as possible but the source of the conflict was complex and the citizens had no idea how to end this.

Even the two companies themselves were at a wits end with this problem. For this conflict, they had not managed to do much business well for those weeks which had affected their income by a huge margin. So they also wanted to end this whole thing as soon as possible. But even they had no idea how to end it.

Actually this whole conflict started with Inovic company complaining that their rival Kendric company had stolen their design ideas. Inovic company had believable proof with them so most of the people thought that Kendric company was probably in trouble. Stealing others ideas was a common thing in business but the people involved in it needed to be careful to not leave any evidence behind as according to the law of vampire society, this was a crime and the convicted party would lose a huge sum of money as punishment after proven guilty.

But when the Kendric company also came out with very solid proof of their innocence, the whole situation got very complicated. In this situation, the artists who were the creators of these ideas suddenly died and the situation became serious.

Both of the companies did an internal investigation and found out that those artists were related to a secret dark organisation. That design was actually the assets of that dark organisation and those designers wanted to use them to reach a higher rank in their companies.

But unfortunately both of the designers chose the same design and created this whole mess. So that dark organisation decided that leaving them free was dangerous with all the secrets that those two knew and decided to get rid of them.

This should have been the end with both companies becoming enemies with that dark organisation but a new problem prevented that. These two designers were actually successful in getting high positions in their companies and were given knowledge about some of the secrets. When those two were killed, that dark organisation also stole the secrets.

Now if any one of the companies were able to retrieve the secrets then that would be the end for the other one. That was why both started to obstruct each other in their investigation. Finally after a lot of debate, both of those companies became willing for a trustworthy third party to retrieve those secrets and returned them to their owners. And that was how this troublesome job fell into the Adventurer guild's lap.

But finding a trustworthy person whom both of the companies would be happy with was not an easy thing to do. This job of secret retrieval itself was difficult and at least an A ranker was needed for it. But both of the two A rankers of the city were somehow connected to these rival companies. So the guild master had no idea how to find a suitable adventurer for this job.

While he was losing his mind thinking about it, suddenly an overly excited receptionist entered his room without even knocking. Guild master Aizawa was extremely irritated and was just about to scold that receptionist when he stopped. That was because the receptionist who had entered the room was an experienced senior one who was with this guild even longer than himself. So this kind of rookie behaviour was completely unexpected from her.

Aizawa was unable to get his frustration out and tried his best to use a soft tone while asking for what the problem was. Then when Aizawa heard that two S rankers had suddenly appeared in the guild, he almost fell from him chair.

Aizawa had become a guild master more than a few centuries ago and had even worked in various cities and towns.
