The first location where Elena and Tomoe were going to raid was an abandoned mansion of a rich businessman. This mansion was located about 2.5 km away from the city and in a remote location where no one else lived. This was used as a vacation house but later on that businessman lost all his properties. He did try to sell this mansion off but no one was willing to buy it.

Later he did manage to sell this property off but no one knew to whom. That new owner also did not take care of the mansion and soon it became a ghost of its former glory. Many people had mostly forgotten about this piece of property by now. But it looked like this unknown dark organisation might be using this as their base.

Elena and Tomoe both hid their presence while approaching the mansion. From just a look one would find this place to be empty but that was not the case. Tomoe and Elena both could sense that this place had people inside and their numbers were also not low.

They also noticed that three vampires who were quite decent at hiding their presence were actually guarding this place. They all were staying in hidden areas while keeping an eye on the surroundings. Elena and Tomoe exchanged information through eye contact and immediately moved. Elena knocked two of the guards out and Tomoe took care of the last one.

These guards were not very strong, most probably only D rank. But their ability to hide their presence was very high. It was miles better than what a regular D ranker was able to accomplish. It looked like this dark organisation that they were going against was not simple. That actually made both Elena and Tomoe more interested.

After taking care of the watchmen, they sneaked into the mansion. This was quite a large mansion with many rooms and a big yard. So Elena and Tomoe decided to split up to search the area quickly. Elena went to search upstairs while Tomoe took care of the ground floor and the yard.

After about half an hour, Elena and Tomoe meet under a tree in the yard. This was the area that they had decided as their meeting spot. Tomoe reported that she was unable to find anything special except for more people doing farming in some parts of the yard.

As for Elena, she was able to discover a lot. Most of the rooms in the third and the highest fourth floors were used as laboratories. Many people were doing research on various things. Most of those researchers were not powerful vampires and were barely stronger than a regular vampire. In this whole area, Elena and Tomoe were able to only find seven people who had the strength of C rank.

This was very unexpected. Elena had thought that the people of this organisation would be quite powerful and she had even thought that A rankers might be among them. But that did not happen and C rank was way too low to guard a place that had any special value.

So this place might not be important to the dark organisation but from the scale of the research happening here, that would be unlikely. Then the next possibility would be that these people had some kind of trump card that might be useful in guarding this place. And Elena had a slight idea what that trump card could be.

There was no one present in the basement of the mansion but a thing was kept their. It was a large carcass of a bizarre monster which did not look normal. Actually there were already very weird looking monsters out there but this one was even more special. All its limbs were distorted and abnormal. Just moving would be challenging for this monster.

Elena's friend Lya had created a good system for the monsters so that they would be able to adapt to various situations and would be able to change their form to match it. But there was no kind of adaptation that would make a monster's body like this so it was most probably artificial.

Elena actually had no bad opinion on the experiment on living beings. When she was fighting to save the TIRTANYA world, many people had tried various experiments on living beings with various kinds of intentions. Some had good intentions and some had bad. But quite a few of such experiments had actually shown good results and even the people who were victims of the experiment were happy with it in many cases.

Lya was also fine with some people trying new things out. As long as it was not something that could bring danger to the whole world, Lya was fine with it. So Elena did not have any reasons to stop these people without knowing more details. So next she decided to learn what these people were trying to do here.

If it was a serious situation then Elena would have used her special skills to immediately learn the whole situation. But Elena's intuition told her that what was happening here was not too serious and evil so she decided to have some fun investigating it like a regular adventurer.

So Elena and Tomoe started their investigation by first Interrogating the three watchmen whom they had captured before. But it turned out that they did not know much about the organisation and were actually raised by the organisation from a very young age.

Elena also learnt that they were given a serum everyday when they were young. And after growing up, all three of them were able to use a special type vampire skill called the darkness veil even though it was a rare skill for a common vampire to have. But this benefit came with a severe sacrifice. None of them were able to raise their levels at all after crossing the level of 100. So they would be staying in the weak D ranks for the rest of their lives.

Next, Elena went and captured a female researcher who looked like the head among the people doing the research. As for Tomoe, she went and caught a bold, muscular vampire who was the strongest person present here. They looked at the people who would have the most amount of information in this mansion.

Interrogation started again and this time it took a longer time as Tomoe was actually doing the interrogation this time. It was a rare experience so Tomoe wanted to have some practice. Elena allowed that and Tomoe did her best.

The result was very interesting. Just as they expected these two people knew a lot more about the organisation. So what Elena and Tomoe heard from them was also a lot. Especially they immediately found the secrets that those two companies wanted back so their mission was solved. But Elena and Tomoe did not want to go back immediately as what this organisation was doing was a lot more interesting than the mission itself.

So what was this dark organisation trying to do ?
