After Elena gave Agripuna permission to touch Echidna, she immediately started to poke him. Then after feeling now wobbly and bubbly this cute little slime was, Agripuna got rid of the slight apprehension that she was feeling and tried to gently hug Echidna. Echidna was a spoiled child who really liked to cuddle with others, so she was extremely cooperative and even hugged Agripuna back.

This made Agripuna to feel blissful. This was exactly the type of being that she was trying so hard to create. To anyone else Echidna would look the same as any other slime but as someone who had researched slimes for a major part of her life, Agripuna was able to understand that Echidna was not any normal slime but was the pinnacle that a slime could reach.

Finally seeing something that she was trying so hard to create made Agripuna feel a bit emotional. She then started to thank Elena again and again for giving her this chance while tightly hugging Echidna. From her expression, it was clear that currently Agripuna was having the time of her life. Elena gave her a gentle smile and said that it was fine and that Elena was happy to have a person who truly understood how amazing her little Echidna was.

The only other person present in the room was looking at this pair of ladies with bewilderment. As soon as Agripuna had started to talk about her aims and goals, the head researcher had immediately excused herself from the room. So currently only Tomoe was present in the room aside from the two slime slime lovers. So Tomoe was the only one who witnessed the scene of a dignified looking girl hugging a blob of slime with a childlike expression on her face and one of the strongest people existing in the world looking at this scene with tenderness and pride.

That was definitely a weird situation but Tomoe did not mind it. It was not like Tomoe did not think that the slime was very cute but just that Agripuna's excessive excitement was just a bit too much. After Agripuna had her fill cuddling and plating with Echidna, finally Elena returned her back with her summoning magic.

Agripuna then told Elena that this experience was very valuable to her as it gave her a good idea how her perfect slime should be. Then she asked if Elena could tell her about how powerful Echidna actually was. Elena had been feeding Echidna with many many types of monsters and beasts in order to perfectly utilise her potential so even though it was possible for Elena to accelerate her growth, she had not done that. For the time being, Echidna had actually just reached the level of 700, which was extremely low if compared to all her other summons who had at least reached a level above 4000.

But even mentioning Echidna's low level of 700 would be too much of a shock for Agripuna. According to the common sense of this world, anything above level 700 was actually a god so basically all this time Agripuna was cuddling was a slime goddess. So Elena mentioned that Echidna's level was above 300 which was true as 700 was definitely above 300.

Hearing this made Agripuna even happier and more excited. For a being she was calling perfect, having enough strength was very important. No matter how good someone was in certain fields, having enough strength was always very important if one had the intention to become perfect. So learning that Echidna was at the S rank also made Agripuna believe that her thoughts about strength were true.

After that Elena, Agripuna and Tomoe talked with each other about various topics for some time and then they decided to return back to the city. After knowing that Elena was planning to stay in the city for a few more days, Agripuna also decided to return back to her personal lab at a later date. She also requested Elena to let her play with Echidna for the time she would be here. Elena had no reason to reject this request so she agreed.

So Elena and Tomoe stayed in the city and walked around for the next day. They visited the market area and bought a few clothes. This city lived up to its fame in terms of clothing designs and quality, both Elena and Tomoe were satisfied with the choices here.

Soon they got a message from the guild master that the Duke's subordinate was coming to the city to retrieve that item the very next day. Elena and Tomoe decided to visit the adventurer guild to return that item back. Then both of them were planning to visit another close city to see if they could find another interesting mission.

The next day when Elena and Tomoe reached the adventurer guild, May immediately took them to the guild master's room. After spending some time with Zona, May had returned back to her normal serious but a little mischievous self which made both Elena and Tomoe happy.

The guild master told Elena and Tomoe that the Duke's envoy would enter the city very soon and requested them to wait here for some time. That was fine with both of the ladies so they waited for the Duke's envoy to come while sipping on the good quality tea served by May.

After about twenty minutes of waiting, the guild master received the news that the envoy had entered the city. That envoy also asked the Aizawa where he wanted the meeting spot to be. It could either be the adventurer guild or a private room in the high grade hotel where he was staying for the time being.

Aizawa was not sure what would be a good idea so she asked for Elena's and Tomoe's opinion. Tomoe was fine with anything and Elena said that as the item was definitely valuable to the duke, so it would be prudent to have some secrecy while handing it over. Then she proposed the meeting spot to be the abandoned factory from where she had exterminated all the monsters just a few days ago.

This proposal was very well received by the envoy as they were actually quite worried about keeping this item safe. The only reason why they had not mentioned this kind of secretive area before was mostly because of the prestige of a S ranker. They did not want to offend someone of that rank by calling them out in weird locations. But now that this proposal came from the S rankers themselves, the envoy happily agreed.

With that Elena, Tomoe and Aizawa left the guild to go to that abandoned factory after Aizawa was done handling most of his important work. The guild was the intermediary between the duke and Elena'g group so Aizawa being present during the handing over was important.
