Very soon Elena was taken into the guild master's room and had to tell Kaya about how she had encountered this legendary infamous monster. Grothopers were born as small and weak G rank monsters and were extremely tasty and nutritious for other monsters. Not only that but they gave off a pheromone that was able to attract other monsters who loved its taste. So almost no Grothopers were able to live past a few days after their birth.

But if they were able to somehow go past this initial phase then they would see a growth spurt. This F rank monster would be able to reach the A or even S rank in almost no time.

That was the reason why these monsters were so dangerous. If one of them could survive the initial dangerous phase, soon these monsters would become so strong that only the very top powerhouses were able to face them.

So the appearance of one Grothoper signaled that there was a high chance that more of them had managed to survive too. There was once another incident in the past where a group of Grothopers were born in a swamp. As the strong smell of the swamp blocked the other monsters from finding these Grothopers, they were able to grow up smoothly without any predictor targeting them in their most vulnerable period.

This resulted in the appearance of a group of seven Grothopers where each of them had the strength of at least an A rank. Two of those were even equivalent to S rank. This would have turned into a terrible incident for the whole continent if the very first city that these monsters attacked was not Cuthulu.

The city of Cuthulu was a mega city of the vampire continent with three vampire dukes handling it together. This city also had one of the strongest armies with five S rankers in its ranks. Other than them, all three of the Dukes were also S rank. So altogether this city had a total of eight S rankers in it when these monsters attacked it.

So no matter how powerful the two S rank Grothopers were, they were nothing in front of eight S rankers and were all wiped out. But this incident did tell everyone that in a situation like this, it was very much possible for many Grothopers to reach maturity together and the vampires needed to be very careful about it.

That was the reason why the whole guild and Kaya were in such a tense situation. The monster that Elena had killed was at the S rank. If one or two more monsters with that strength appeared here, the City of Utreyana would be in grave danger.

Seeing Kaya's tense expression, Elena told her to relax and promised her that she would take care of all the troubles associated with this monster. Then Elena did not hide her real intention anymore and told Kaya that Elena wanted Kaya to join in the vacation trip and that Elena was going to do everything to make sure that would happen. Kaya was speechless after learning this but her heart was filled with warmth.

Just as Elena was about to go out again to complete this task, Kata hurriedly stopped her. Then Kaya informed Elena that marquis Utreyana had already been notified about this situation and would probably take some measures of his own. And the two local S rank adventurers of the city would not just stand by after getting news about something like this. So she asked Elena to wait for some time here in the guild. After learning about what the other S rankers were going to do, Elena could make her own decisions. Or it might create some troubles in the future. Kaya also told Elena that as the situation was urgent, the other S rankers should reply very quickly and she would not need to wait for too long.

Elena was fine with this proposal and waited for some time. She had already used her broken skills to find out that the city was not in any kind of immediate danger. So her waiting for some time was not going to end someone's life. After only 15 minutes of waiting, the other S rankers also came to meet with the guild master. Elena was quite impressed by their quick response to this situation of crisis.

The S rankers that this city currently had other than Elena and Tomoe were three. The city lord himself, a female adventurer named Hanawa who was a powerful water mage and Kalshiyan who was a powerful warrior. All of them were in their early 300s so they were not terribly strong among S rankers but as no S ranker was weak, they were more than capable enough to hold their own in a battle.

After all three of them appeared in the adventurer guild, a meeting started between the four S rankers and guild master Kaya. The marquis was the first one to speak up and he asked Elena to show them the monster's body if she had it with her. Seeing their future opponent would give them a decent idea about what they would soon be facing off against.

Elena had no reason to reject this request and so she took it out. Obviously because this monster was too big, everyone moved to a warehouse for this part.

The monster was killed by Elena with just a single slash of sword bisecting it in half. So the body of this monster was still perfectly intact. As soon as the other S rankers saw this, a look of disgust appeared on their face. That was not surprising and a common reaction. This monster was really just too ugly.

It was a large slug like monsters with a super large mouth filled with rows upon rows of teeth. And there were also small tentacles that were it's feet. The whole body was leaking some kind of slimy and disgusting goo which was actually quite powerful and could block physical attacks and the most disgusting thing about this monster was its thousands of creepy eyes haphazardly located on its whole body. All of all, Grothopers were without a doubt one of the most disgusting monsters that could be found in the vampire continent.

The S rankers pushed down their disgust and observed this monster carefully. Then all of them immediately understood that in a one on one battle, none of them would be able to defeat this thing. All three of them needed to team up together to have a chance. This made them to think about how insanely powerful lady Elena was who was able to defeat this monster so easily and bisected it in two half. But this thought also reassured them as with Elena here, the risk to the city was very low.

So now what these S rankers were going to do ?
