After learning that this man actually worked for the duke Moronto family, Grace did not kill him. As the Blessed Night festival was very close, the whole city was getting decorated. This festival was also known as the Floating Lantern festival as that was the main item used for the decorations and these lanterns were everywhere in the city.

The soft light of the lantern gave a very comfy vibe to the city. Most of the houses had two lanterns hanging in the doorframe and the shops were hanging seven lanterns. There was a reason behind these numbers and Alisia told the others about it. She had studied a lot while preparing for the trip so she knew a lot of things about this festival.

Two lanterns represented the concept of protection. With two lanterns handing on the doorframe, no evil would be able to enter the house and family. As for seven lanterns, it indicated prosperity. Keeping that amount on a shop was a wish for a more prosperous future.

Everyone enjoyed learning about the customs of the city while walking through city roads. They were also taking in the scenery and the vibe of the city during this walk toward their inn.

The inn where everyone was planning to stay was located in a prosperous area of the city which was quite far away from the gate. So while walking toward it, their group was attracting a lot of attention. Obviously this group having many extremely beautiful lady was one of the reason but the main reason for all this attention was something else.

Currently there were two extremely large things following behind the ladies. One was a large heart and the other thing was a large bird. Obviously normally this large bird monster would not be able to enter the city as the gate was too small for it. There was a special place to take care of large monsters just outside the city so Alisia was planning to keep the bird there. But as the large gate was specially opened for them, she decided to take that opportunity to bring the bird inside the city. It was a valuable asset of her family so Alisia was not very comfortable with leaving it with someone about whom she knew nothing.

After talking with the guards it turned out that they were sent here by the duke to welcome Elena's group as VIP guests. The news of Tomoe and Elena's arrival had reached the ears of the duke so he had sent these guards to welcome them.

This was a very normal thing and no one was suspicious about it. As the duke was ready to host them in his house, it was perfectly fine to accept his offer. So everyone followed behind the guards without suspecting anything. They also needed to have a conversation with the duke about this heart too.

But instead of bringing them to the mansion where the duke lived, these guards brought everyone to a large house which was located in a secluded part of the city. Everyone entered the house as they were told that this was going to be their residence for the duration of their vacation.

But as soon as everyone was inside the house and the door behind them was closed, a powerful barrier enclosed this whole area and a group of people appeared before Elena's group. Obviously the high level individuals had already sensed that there were people inside the house but they all had thought that those people were the servants working in this mansion.

The most astonishing thing was the presence of two S rank individuals among the group. Even though this city was ruled by a duke, S rankers were still extremely rare. So two powerhouses of such level appearing here made everyone worry. Elena just smiled slightly and silently enjoyed the show. Everyone was soon going to get the answer to their questions.
