First Elena started to tell Noah about his role and powers. Noah listened to everything Elena was saying with full attention. According to Elena, he would have the role of "Martyr" in this world. His responsibility was very simple and it was also something he himself wanted to do. He just needed to fight and kill the monsters non-stop. And just like that he would end up killing all the monsters responsible for this calamity.

Obviously the current Noah did not have the ability to do that. Actually none of the inhabitants of this world had. So Elena was going to bless him with an ability to accomplish this. The name of this ability was "Battle God" and it was based on one of the titles that Elena herself had.

With this ability the more Noah would fight, the stronger he would become. This ability would give a huge buff to his stats when he was in a battle. Not only that but he would also gain the power of adaptability. So the more battles Noah faced, the harder he would become to kill. So this was an epic ability for a battle maniac and Noah needed to become a battle maniac to properly use this ability of his.

But this ability was not all powerful. The boost it provided had a limit and the user of this ability should never give up. If the user ever gave up against an opponent, then the boost the ability provided would disappear. So the person having this skill should have a strong willpower and desire for fight and blood.

There was also another restriction attached to this skill. This ability would only work if the user was fighting alone. If he was fighting in a group or had someone helping him, then he would not be able to get the boost. It was definitely an extremely powerful ability but not everyone would be able to properly use it.

So this would be the ability that Noah would get to fulfill his role as the "Martyr". Just fighting monsters non stop alone was one thing but at the end of all yeh fighting when Noah would become the hero of the world, he would have to step down from that position. So even after all this fighting and sacrifice, Noah would never be able to enjoy the fruit of his labour. That was the reason why his role was not that of a "Hero" but of a "Martyr".

Elena first wanted a Hero to save the world. But after using her skill to observe the future and the fate of the inhabitants of this world after the end of the war, she found that in all the scenarios, because of the presence of the powerful hero, the people faced many problems and even started resenting the hero. In many cases, the hero ended up destroying and killing many many people.

There was a solution to this if the hero was cautious and took a few steps to prevent this. But all this was very troublesome and Elena did not want the hero who saved the world to worry himself with these mundane things even after completing his role. That was why she got rid of the hero role and instead created this new role of Martyr.

Elena explained everything to Noah and asked him if he was willing to take this terrible role. This role was something that almost no one would be willing to take on. Obviously he was not really dying but still he had to say goodbye to this world after the calamity was over. So the benefits of this role were almost zero.

But obviously Elena chose Noah for a reason. After hearing about what he needed to do, he sincerely bowed to Elena like a knight and accepted his role. Not only that he even thanked Elena from the bottom of his heart for giving him this chance and went to kiss her feet. This was a custom of this world where a person would kiss the feet of the female who was their benefactor.

Atea wanted to fulfill whatever role Elena was about to give her with her all, so she was listening to Elena with all her attention. The role Elena was giving her was that of the "Candlebearer". While the Calamity was still ongoing, she had nothing to do. But after Noah ended the Calamity, Atea needed to take on a huge responsibility on her little shoulders.

The ability she would be getting was "Empress of the Beginning". It would be a versatile ability that would give her capability to perform the task of a ruler with insane efficiency. Obviously she needed to have the qualities of a ruler to effectively use this ability. And Elena had chosen Atea because she had all the qualities that a leader figure needed to have. Elena was confident that after growing up in no time, Atea would be able to become a ruler who would be able to become the light of hope for the people of this world who would be in a terrible situation even after the calamity was gone.

Obviously Atea's role as Candlebearer needed her to lead the Utayis in the time of need and to re-develop the civilization again. It was a tough role. Becoming a king might sound like a dream come true but that was definitely not the case here. What Atea would be ruling was a fallen Kingdom on its last breath and she needed to improve it so that it could stand on its own feet again.

Her abilities were also there to assist her which would allow her to finish works in no time that normally would need more time and hundreds of hers to finish. But if she was not capable of doing that work from the beginning, then her ability would not be able to provide any help.

So, after becoming the ruler and getting this ability Atea could not relax. She needed to continue working hard to improve herself even more. This was something extremely hard to do for many and needed someone to have very powerful willpower. Atea only had the needed willpower and that was the reason why she was chosen for this role.

After learning about her responsibilities, it would be a lie to say that Atea was not nervous. But even the little girl understood that her role was very important if she wanted to make this world a good and happy place. So with a very determined face she accepted her role. Elena hugged her gently and praised Atea. Elena also reassured her that she would be able to do it and would become an amazing empress.

So for the time being Atea was going to stay with Elena to learn about various things that a ruler needed to know. Only when Noah would be almost at the end of his role, Atea would appear before the people as their new light of hope.
