The day after Tomoe and the other ladies returned from the expedition of the Ancient Alchemist's Workshop, the main Blesses Night festival started. The city was already in a festive atmosphere even before the main festival but after it officially began, the excitement of the people reached the sky.

Even though a trip to the city of Moronto was supposed to be a vacation for the ladies, but since they had arrived here, they had found themselves getting involved with many troublesome things. So they had not managed to properly relax at all. But now that it was time for the festival. All the ladies were determined to have as much fun and relaxation as possible.

On the very first day, actually night of the festival, everyone went out to visit the city. Traditionally, wearing red or silver clothing on the day was considered lucky so all the ladies were dressed in those two colours.

Elena was wearing a beautiful red open back dress. Alisia had chosen this dress for her and it definitely suited Elena very well. Anna was wearing a silver one piece dress and she was extremely cute. Kaya also wore a shirt and pants of silver colour and she was looking dashing in it. Leshia wore a red dress but it had a pinkish tone to it. This dress was quite revealing and made Leshia look extremely sexy.

But the person who was wearing the most revealing dress among the ladies was definitely Tomoe. Because of her village, she had no aversion to wearing extremely revealing clothing. After traveling for Elena for so long, she did start to dress a bit more conservatively but even after seeing that dressing up in such a revealing way was not normal, habits were hard to get rid of and she was still most comfortable wearing only the minimal amount of clothing.

When Leshia came to know this, she immediately started to design a dress for Tomoe. Finally the dress that she ended up making was revealing most parts of Tomoe's well toned body but it did not look indecent at all. Tomoe was looking valiant in this dress instead of looking slutty.

Normally Turin had no need to wear anything as he was a small dragon. But today, there was a red ribbon wrapped around his tail. Anna had made this ribbon by herself for Turin and Turin was extremely happy to accept this gift from his sweetheart.

The whole city was decorated with paper lanterns which was a symbol of this festival. No other light sources were there other than the dim light of the paper lanterns. This gave the whole city an otherworldly vibe. Just walking through the roads made everyone to feel like they were walking on a path that led a whole other world.

The streets did have a lot of people but the density was not as high as the ladies had expected it to be. When a surprised Kaya wondered why that was the case, Grace told her the reason. Most of the people who were walking on the street were actually outsiders who were visiting the city. As for the residents, they were mostly staying inside their house.

The reason for that was a custom. The people of this city prayed for the well being of their family by calmly staying inside their house and by spending the very first festival day with the family members. The vampire goddess had always told her children about how important the bond of a family was and that was the reason why this custom was created.

This was an interesting fact that impressed everyone. Spending time with the family was really the best way to spend the very first day of this grand festival. Alisia then asked Grace if all the shops would also be closed or not as most of the shops belonged to the residents of the city.

Hearing this question, Grace time Alisia what she had heard from a few servants of the Moronto family. There were some families who did like to close their shop for this day, most of the families actually did not. The reason for that was simple. Many visitors' pockets would be extremely loose on the very first day of the festival. So there was a very high chance of making great profit on this day and no one wanted to miss out on that.

That was the reason why even though it was an important day, most of the shop owners tried to keep the shop open for this day. For the majority of the cases, they hired an outsider to handle the shop for this day. Low ranking adventurers were always available to take this job as the pay for this was actually very good.

Looking around the shops, Alisia did notice that most of the people managing the shops did not look like regular shopkeepers. Not only that but their behaviour was also stiff and unnatural which would not be how an experienced shopkeeper would behave.

Anna was attracted to one of the shops selling toys made out of a special stone which were soft in nature. So she immediately went to check them out. Seeing that Turin and the other ladies also went to check that shop out. A young rookie female adventurer was handling the shop. She was a D ranker and was quite nervous after so many beautiful women suddenly appeared in her shop. But still she did her best and tried to recommend various toys to Anna. From how she acted, it looked like she did have some experience in handling customers.

The toys sold in this shop were really amazing. Even though the material for the toys called Anamanite was a soft mineral and easy to work with, it still needed an expert craftsman to turn it into beautiful pieces of work. And all the toys sold in this shop were very well made.

After checking out quite a few toys, Anna ended up liking a toy of a cute little dragon and a toy of a small kitten. While she was trying to choose one between them, Elena smiled at her and paid the adventurer girl for both of the toys. It was Elena's little gift to Anna.

That was just the beginning through as Elena once again went into an insane spending spree. As the festive market was selling quite a lot of interesting and rare things, the ladies and Turin were able to hold themselves back from getting interested in some of the items. But as soon as they showed even the slightest bit of interest in any of the items, Elena immediately went ahead and bought that item as a gift. It was fine at first but after the same things happened several more times, all the ladies started to feel bad and tried to stop Elena. But Elena did not listen to them and whoever tried to reject her gift, she just gifted them ten times more.

Just like that, in just that one day, Elena became famous throughout the City of Moronto as an extremely rich Tycoon. Elena was definitely very happy about this achievement of hers.

And that was how the first day of the Floating Lantern festival went.
