After the grand performance of the first day, Elena had become extremely famous throughout the whole city. Her song inspired many people and her dance gave birth to a new style that was perfectly suited for this city. So her little impromptu performance turned into a cultural revolution for the city Moronto.

But Elena did not really care much about all that and was looking forward to enjoying the third day as much as she did the previous two days. The atmosphere of the third day was almost similar to the second day but quite a few people were more excited than the previous day because of a special event which was supposed to happen on the day.

This event was called "Battle of Titans". Traditionally two of the strongest fighters of the city faced off against one another in a brawl in this event. But for the last few centuries, this event had turned into something where Hyneward, the strongest person and the guardian of the city, showed off his strength.

One might think that an event like that would become boring after the same person fought in it for so many years but that was not the case here. Hyneward was the guardian of the city. The people living in the city believed in his amazing power to protect them from any dangers.

So seeing the great Hyneward Ginnesblood remaining just as strong as all the previous years was a pillar of support for the people of this city. Seeing Hyneward's display of strength they would be able to once again live their life without worrying too much about dangers as Hyneward would be there to protect them from it.

This year duke Karl tried to make Elena or Tomoe Hyneward's opponent but both of them refused. Elena wanted to enjoy the festival and this event as a spectator so she refused. As for Tomoe, she did wanted to have a rematch with Hyneward but for the time being, staying with Elena and enjoying the festival was more important to her. And she also wanted their fight to be in private, where both of them would be able to go all out without holding anything back. That was the reason why she refused this invitation.

Duke Karl had already expected this so even though he was disappointed, he was able to get over that quite quickly. He had already called for an S rank adventurer from a different city to be Hyneward's opponent. As Hyneward participated in the event every year, Duke Karl tried to bring in different S rankers to be his opponent most of the time. Without that the matches would really become too boring.

This S ranker who would be fighting against Hyneward this year was named Shiya Maina and she was an extremely powerful summoner. It had not been long since she had managed to reach the S ranks but already she had managed to defeat a powerful S rank monster terrorising a nearby city and had become extremely famous. So even though no one believed that Shiya would be able to defeat Hyneward, everyone was still looking forward to a great fight.

This match was going to take place in the grand battle arena of the city of Moronto. Elena, Turin and all the other ladies were sitting in the VIP section of the area while watching the match. They did not get a private room because the private rooms here only had enough seats for 5 people and Elena's group had more than that number. So to enjoy the fighting show together, all of them decided to observe the match from the VIP section.

The whole arena was filled to the brim with people. Not only in the arena, many vampires were floating in the sky with their wings out and were looking at the arena from there. Normally it was illegal for someone to watch the matches in the arena in this manner. But today was a special day so the people who had not managed to get a seat inside the arena were allowed to observe the match in this way.

The atmosphere of the arena was extremely excited. This whole place was filled with the cheers of thousands of people. In this extremely loud atmosphere, Hyneward's challenger, Shiya Maina entered the arena.

Most of the vampires had pale and fair skin but the colour of her skin was dark. She did have bright red eyes that perfectly represented the vampires and her hair was also dark red in colour. She was wearing a long skirt that was covering her legs completely but on the upper half, only her breasts were hidden with a piece of clothing. Everything else was visible for the world to admire.

She had a confident demeanour and even though she was going to fight a disadvantageous battle very soon, from her body language, no one would be able to guess that. It looked like Shiya was really very confident in her prowess. Obviously the audience, especially the male section was very happy to see such a beautiful lady and so they cheered very loudly. Shiya also greeted their enthusiasm by waving her hands.

Then Hyneward Ginnesblood entered the arena from the opposite side. This time the arena broke out into a louder cheer. Almost the whole arena shook just by the cheer of the people when, Hyneward entered the arena.

The battle started and immediately a summon circle appeared below Shiya's feet and she jumped back. But Hyneward did not attack her and just stood in his spot silently telling Shiya that she was free to summon whatever she wanted. Obviously this behaviour hurt Shiya's pride and she became angry.

As Hyneward was giving her the opportunity, she decided to capitalise on it. Normally she would first try to summon defensive and auxiliary units to buy time for her while she would try to summon her strongest trump card which would be a match ender. As Hyneward was foolishly giving her time, she decided to directly summon her most powerful familiar.

This process was quite long and took Shiya about 5 minutes to finish. Elena judged her to have exceptional talent for her age so she taking this long for a single summon meant that the power difference between her and her summon was quite big. Hyneward also noticed this and became a little bit excited while expecting to have a powerful foe to fight.

His expectations were fulfilled and he was not disappointed when a giant red dragon appeared before him. It was about 15 meters tall from the ground to the top of its head and its body was over 80 meters long. From the intelligent look on its eyes and its majestic scales, it was clear that this dragon-like monster had a very pure bloodline and it also had lived for a long time. So it was definitely extremely powerful. Hyneward's blood started boiling after seeing it and he got ready for the fight.
