Restart: The World Savior's New Beginning

Chapter 547: Ch 547: Last Mission Done

It did not take Elena too much time to reach the highlands. Then she soon started her search for the lost token. According to the owner of the token, he had most probably lost it when he was investigating the outer area of the highland with his team. So Elena started her search from there.

The token should be made out of a rare metal called Galvonite. As this metal was very sturdy, the chance of the token remaining intact was quite high. The token should also have a very unusual symbol drawn on it, so mistaking it for another token was also very unlikely.

With that in mind, Elena started to thoroughly search for the token in all the areas where the owner had gone according to him. It took her almost 3 hours but still she was able to find the token at all.

If the owner was not lying and had not forgotten about other places that he had visited, then Elena had already gone through all the locations where the token should have been. In this case, there was only another possibility. Some kind of monster or animal had found it and had taken it.

If this was true, then finding the token will become much harder. In this vast highland there were millions of living beings. If some of the smaller ones had taken an interest in them and had taken it to their underground colony, then finding it would be almost impossible to find without the use of Elena's broken ability.

But Elena did not give up so soon, and started to use some types of magic.

All these spells were something that a S ranker was able to learn, so Elena was not cheating. Even then, most of the spells were unable to show any good results except for one. That spell was a general one which was able to identify different materials.

If the token was covered by something else, then even this spell would not have any effect. But fortunately for Elena, that was not the case. Elena was flying over the whole outer area while this spell was activated. This highland also had many minerals in it but the Galvonite was not one of them. So when Elena was able to sense the presence of that metal, she was sure that she had managed to find the token.

Happily Elena went toward the presence and found herself in front of a small cave. But the problem was that this cave was too small and even her head could not properly fit inside. But this was also not a big deal for Elena. She again cast a spell and created a small 2 inch rock golem. That golem was able to get inside the cave without any problem and found that this cave was quite deep.

Elena shared her senses with it and made the golem to go further in. She was able to sense that the token was not too far away from there. So the cave opened up a little and a sizable hollow area was ahead of the golem. Peeking inside, Elena saw that a squirrel like beast was sleeping soundly in the middle of the hollow and various kinds of materials were kept all over the area.

After looking around a little bit, the golem was able to see the token in one corner of the hollow area. It looked like this little squirrel like beast had the hobby of collecting miscellaneous items from all over the highland and it had also picked up the token from somewhere thinking that it was interesting.

Elena did not want to just steal away this cute little beast's things, so she broke her self imposed rules a little and used creation concept magic to produce a similar looking token but with a different design. Then she made the golem to replace the first token with this one.

Not only that but as a little gift, Elena also put a few tasty nuts in the hollow for the little buddy to enjoy. As for the squirrel in question, Elena cast a sleeping spell on it through the golem, so for this whole time, it was comfortably sleeping. Just like that, Elena was done with the last mission.

But the main reason why she was here was because she wanted to investigate the reason for this highlands abnormality. So even after she was done with the mission, she was not going back and instead was going further inside this area, toward the core parts.

As Elena went in deeper, she started to encounter stronger and stronger monsters. She noticed that all the monsters here did not only have high stats, they all were very tenacious and experienced in battle. So if they fought with other monsters from different continents with similar levels and stats, they would most probably win.

This made sense to Elena. The Demon Continent was the place where many demigods came to start their journey toward Valhalla. Not only that but demons themselves were a veer battle thirsty race in general. So the monsters of the area had also taken in that quality.

...

After Elena reached the core area, she started to encounter strong S rank monsters. The fame of this area as a danger zone where even S rankers might fall was not unfounded. The monsters of the core were definitely strong enough to kill a S ranker or two.

Not only that but these monsters all had interesting abilities that even Elena found intriguing.

There was one monster who looked like a scorpion with nine stingers on its back. Each one of the stingers had special skills associated with it. One of the stinger was specialised in penetrating and another one for poison. There was also a stinger that had healing liquid which was injected in the main body of the scorpion to heal itself. There were also stingers which were specialised in repealing mana. So it was able to easily penetrate any magical barrier.

Elena found this monster to be such an awesome design, that she decided to create one based on it in her mini world. For the residents of the world to train, Elena was creating various kinds of opponents for them. And this monster was perfect to act as one of the last bosses.

This monster was very versatile with many different kinds of attacks which were extremely fatal. Not only that but this boss was able to heal itself so it would definitely be annoying for the opponents to defeat. And that was exactly what a last boss should be. Elena also gave her created new boss the ability to lock the space around it so that its challengers would not be able to escape using teleportation items and a super difficult and annoying boss was made.

Elena was extremely satisfied with her experience in the demon continent so far. It had not even been a week and she had already encountered a birthing dungeon, special items and now interesting monsters. She was now really really looking forward to what more the demon continent had to offer.
