Hearing that Alessia was here to go against the Cross of Ferocity, Mercus was very happy. The Cross had been rapidly gathering power after becoming active and that was making even the five overlords of the city worried. So now that a powerful S ranker like Alessia was also here to go against them, Mercus was naturally happy about it.

But now with Alessia in the mix, Mercus had a good chance to even directly go against the Cross. If direct confrontation could allow them to quickly get their hands on the item that the Azure Legion was looking for, Alessia was also fine with this brute force plan.

But first they all needed to be sure about the presence of the item. The item in question was a large stone tablet with unknown script, so it attracted quite a lot of attention with its size and mystery. So Mercus was sure that he would soon be able to find more information about this.

And there was also very little discrepancy between the information that they bought and the one given by Mercus.

Later that night, Mercus managed to find even more about the item in question and he came to tell the ladies about it. At the same time, he was also planning to spent some quality father daughter time with his two daughters. So it was a very happy moment for him.

According to the information that Mercus had managed to find, the stone tablet was kept inside the same warehouse that the goat headed demon had mentioned before. But stealing that was more dangerous as the stone tablet was actually the centre of the defense for the warehouse.

Alessia's client had not told them about the function of the item in detail but from Mercus' investigation, the ladies came to know that the stone tablet had the effect of strengthening the power of barriers and giving them a powerful sensing function.

It was actually quite fortunate that the ladies from Azure Legion were able to get this information before Nina went to investigate the warehouse. One of the S ranker could easily block Alessia while the other one could take care of her friends. So for Azure Legion alone, finding a solution to this was extremely hard. But they did have an easy solution in mind which was to ask for Mercus' help.

Mercus had already told them that as the Cross of Ferocity was something that he also hated so he was very much willing to join the ladies if they decided to go against them. He was even ready to bring a few strong powerhouses from the Obsidian Tempest to assist the ladies.

So with Mercus and the Obsidian Tempest on their side, Alessia and the Azure Legion started to make their plans. Mercus suggested that instead of Alessia and her friends, Obsidian Tempest should declare war on them. The conflict between them was already reaching great heights and Mercus was also known to be a very short tempered man. For that reason, no one would be overly surprised if the Obsidian Tempest decided to declare war on the Cross of Ferocity.

In this way, Alessia could act as a hidden trump card and could reveal herself in the most opportune moment and could deal a massive amount of damage to the enemy. This plan was quite solid no one had any complaints about it.
