After resting a bit and getting refreshed, all three of the Azure Legion ladies entered the sixth floor. Immediately after entering, they noticed the hostile atmosphere of the floor and felt the danger. But as they had already readied their mind about this, they did not weaver and continued going deeper into the floor.
After going just a little bit in, they encountered their first monster. It was a large bird monster who had noticed them from the sky before Nina could noticed the bird and had decided to attack them. Immediately all of them got ready for a tough fight.
In terms of level, this bird was weaker than the Gorrila boss and the powerful plant monster of the third floor but flying enemies were always tougher to handle, so the ladies could not let their guard down. But fortunately, the ladies were experienced in fighting flying enemies, so they had developed quite a few countermeasures.
Shia had a few dark magic spells that could increase the weight of the bird. In that case, the bird monster would have a hard time adjusting it's balance with the sudden weight gain. Marina and Nina then could take that opportunity to kill the bird monster.
This strategy had worked extremely well for all the bird monsters that the ladies had faced so far but this time it turned out that this bird was using a powerful skill to boost its flying abilities. So by increasing the intensity of the skill, it was able to easily handle the increasing weight.
After the failure of their first plan, the ladies moved onto their second plan immediately. As for what their second plan was, it was to shot the bird monster down with long distance magjc and arrows. Obviously Shia was in-charge of handling long distance magjc and Nina was shooting powerful arrows toward it.
This plan also did not succeed as the monster had a wind barrier around it stoping most of the arrows and it was also very good at dodging the spells. At least while it was busy dodging so many attacks, it was unable to attack the ladies back.
While the bird monster was busy playing shooting game with Nina and Shia, Marina had silently hidden herself. With its bird brain, the monster had also forgotten about her existence. Marina took this chance to wait to land a decisive blow on the monster.
Soon Marina found the chance she had been waiting for when the bird dodged three arrows from Nina immediately after dodging a powerful flaming spear spell from Shia. After dodging so many attacks back to back, the monster was slightly unbalanced which gave Marina the perfect opportunity.
She did not waste any time and immediately aimed her spear toward the bird monster and threw it with all her might. With her perfect aim, Marina managed to pierce the bird's head with her spear. She had used a skill called "Extreme Piercing" on the spear and so the spear was able to easily penetrate the bird.
Even after it's brain was pierced, the bird did not immediately die. But still it was unable to maintain its flight with the severe damage it had suffered in its brain. But even then, the monster showed immense tenacity and tried to fly away from the ladies before it could completely lose its ability to fly.
But Shia was not kind enough to give the monster a chance to do that. She used a wind elemental flight spell to chase the monster. If the bird monster was in top form, then her flight spell would be useless against it and would even put her in extra danger because Shia's flight spell was no match for the natural flying ability of the monster. But after it was weakened, Shia's spell was enough to catch up to it.
Just like that, Shia chased the monster down and blasted it with her spells. Nina also sneaked up on the bird and kicked the spear to drive it further inside its head. That was enough to empty out all the HP of the monster and it finally died.
Even though the ladies had managed to win without anyone getting hurt, they were not happy with it. They needed a huge amount of time to defeat just a single monster, which looked to be just a mob monster of this floor. From this it was clear that their journey was going to be quite time consuming.
...
The adventurers who were with Joka turned out to be quite experienced about this dungeon. Even though they were only A rankers and not S rankers, they were one of the parties who had went past the tenth floor. Obviously that time they were cooperating with other parties one of which was a S rank one but still, it was quite impressive.
So they were able to tell Alessia a lot about the dungeon. From what she heard, Alessia judged that going to the deeper floors without her party would be completely impossible as she would need a mage and a scout to traverse them. So Alessia made up her mind to meet up with her friends on this floor.
She knew her party members very well so she was sure that sooner or later they would definitely come to this floor. The time limit that Elena had given them was not much and they had more large floors to cross, so she was sure that her friends would be here very soon.
With that in mind, Alessia decided to roam this floor in order to find strong monsters to fight and practice. If her luck was good, she might just come accross her party members. Even if that did not happened, there was a high chance that if she fought in many places of this floor, then Nina would definitely be able to pick up on her trails.
With this plan, she decided to separate from the researcher and the adventurer group. Joka did ask Alessia to join her group as with a S ranker with her, she would have greater security and might even be able to venture to the seventh floor. But Alessia needed to find her friends and had a mission to reach the tenth floor. So she decisively declined the offer even though the amount of money Joka was offering was quite a large sum.
...
Just like that as Nina, Shia and Marina started to go deeper inside the dungeon while killing any monsters they came across and searching for clues related to Alessia. At that exact moment, Alessia was busy finding monsters and defeating them while making a large commotion. She was sure that with the amount of noise she was making, her friends would soon notice her.
Would that really happen or Alessia's and her friends' meeting was still far off ? Only time would tell the answer.
