After making the "Mismatched Piece" surrender Elena didn't do anything and just watched the way the teachers were fighting while giving some advice to the A rank party.

"First of all, Gon. Your magic activation speed and ability to multi-cast is quite good but all the spells you used are low ranked. Most of the high ranking adventurers will be able to either dodge it or ignore it as it will not deal much damage. I think you should try to use at least mid rank magic. Even if you could just multi-cast two mid rank spells it will be more useful than dozens of low rank ones."

"Rizzile, don't just focus on having more undead. Your expertise in necromanxic magic spells is quite low. Drax should not always try to find a gap in the opponent before attacking, instead you should try to force the opponent to create a gap."

"As for Jake, you should either completely give up on faints or you have to change your straight forward way of fighting. The way you used faints in the fight was very bad. There was always a hesitation, so identifying your faints was child's play. And if anyone could easily identify your faints then it's not just useless but also a very big weakness."

Just as Elena was perfectly role playing as a teacher the real teachers were in life and death struggle. The assassins they were facing were all trained professionals. They used every type of trick to get any advantage while fighting. They used poison, hidden weapons, some female assassins even used their own body and looked to gain victory.

But the teachers were also not useless. They had earned the chance to become teachers in the most prestigious academy in the whole nation. So, obviously they had their own merits. They resisted fiercely. They also had another advantage and that was magic items. The teachers of the academy had a lot of good quality magic items as the academy was well known for creating good quality magic items.

So, the fight between the two parties was at a stalemate. Even tho the assassins' group had more B rankers, the B rankers from the teachers group were stronger individually. So, even among the high level combatants, no group had any advantage. But, the target of the assassins was Selena not all the teachers.

So the assassins just used minimal numbers to tie down Gonjalus and Ele and most of them attacked Selena. Ele was not able to perfectly use her newly grown hand till now so her fighting capability was not 100%. It was very hard for Gonjalus alone to take care of more than two people as the assassins were using various dirty tricks too.

When Selena got overwhelmed by them she took out a pendant and used it. It was a magic item created by the old Headmaster himself. He had personally stored a spell inside this pendant that could create a barrier with S rank strength.

But this was exactly what the assassins had foreseen. Their leader shouted -

"No. 32, activate the device."

One of the C class assassins took out a black ball with ruinic patterns. He put a super concentrated magic stone inside. That activated the device and the ruinic patterns on it lit up in blinding red light. He then threw the device in the middle of the hall. The red light washed over everyone and everyone's magic stopped working.

It was a legendary class magic item that could cut the connection of mana with the spells. So whatever magic that was active at the time of the magic items activation would be forcefully cancelled. It was definitely a very strong item as it could even affect the magic activated by a S ranker.

The assassins knew about this life saving magic item given to Selena by Dicovolve. They specially prepared the ruinic ball magic item to nullify this life saving means. And it also cancelled out the magic of other mages from the teachers side. As the assassins already knew about this item's effect they timed their attacks perfectly and gained the upper hand.

Everyone's magic got cancelled throughout the room as only demigods were immune to the effect of this magic item. But one magic spell was still active in the room. And this horrified the assassins as that means there was someone present in the room with the power of a demigod.

Demigods were just one step away from the gods in the opinion of regular people. They all were blessed by at least a god and had immense prestige in the eyes of people. The position of a demigod was actually higher than even the kings of most nations. So the presence of a demigod was a very very important matter.

The barrier spell Elena cast on the students was still active even after the item took effect. One of the assassins muttered -

"This time should cancel every magic except the magic of someone of the demigod rank or higher. How can this be? Impossible!!"

In the now silent room, his mutter was heard by everyone and after understanding what it implied everyone including the teachers had horrified looks and they all turned their faces toward Elena.

Elena didn't mind their looks much. She had already shown a fake status to the butler of Margrave Canvisiny where she was supposed to be level 666. So she simply said -

"My level is above the threshold to become a demigod. I'm still an A rank adventurer and not a S rank because I had become an adventurer very recently, just a few months before. I don't intend to interfere much with your inner conflicts and personal grudges. So no need to mind me."

Elena might have taken this thing very lightly but this was not a light matter at all. The margrave didn't react to this matter much because by the time he came to know about it he had already become a loyal Elena fanatic. And the butler was able to keep this in because he was very professional, even then he had to go out of the hall after knowing the matter to just shout and adjust his feelings. This created a little misconception for Elena as she never bothered to read Theodor and his butler mind about this matter. So she didn't think that having the power level of a demigod would be this big of a deal. She knew it would be a big deal, but she was off by a few figures about the immensity of the matter.
