Elena told the elders present that as even now the choas source was in an unstable state, she could use this chance to lower its activity level again. Normally doing something like this would not be possible for even a S ranker like her but Elena told them that she had an artifact of a demigod powerhouse and through that she was capable of slightly influencing the Choas Source.

Hearing this all the elders became super excited and happy. They felt like a big burden went down from their shoulders. But Elena poured a cold bucket of water in their celebration by reminding them that what she was doing would not be a permanent solution and in the future, just like this time, the chaos source would start repairing itself again.

For that reason, Elena adviced all the elders to use the extra time she was giving them wisely. She asked them to train hard to became strong enough to defeat an A rank monster on their own. In that case, even if the forest returned to its previous dangerous state, they would still be able to continue their herbs industry.

Hearing what Elena said, all the elders came back to their senses and bowed to Elena. Then they all promised that they would do their best to get as strong as possible. Elena was happy to see their determination. Then she told them that before using the artifact, she needed to first investigate the forest properly in order pinpoint the chaos source and to make sure that she could definitely make it less active.

All the elders agreed and the forest was made to be a forbidden zone for the upcoming days. As for Elena, she used this opportunity to kill the monsters appearing in the forest while keeping her level at 99. After three days since the first anomaly of the forest, the A rank overlord monster also appeared.

In the last three days, Elena had improved quite a bit with her control. The ability which was the reason behind the increase power against a lower level opponent was a hidden ability which was not quantifiable, so it was not mentioned in the status panel.

But still, just with her instict, Elena had managed to find that ability within herself. She was mainly able to do that as she knew her body extremely well. Even after finding the sense of the ability, she was still unable to fully control it. But Elena was confident that with enough time, she would be to do even that for sure.

She was looking forward to fight the A rank monster. It was a pangolin like monster with very powerful armour covering it's body. It also had many skills related to defense. Elena decided to fight this monster while lower her level even further to the level of 82. Even if she wanted to lower it more, this was her current limit.

As Elena appeared before the Pangolin, it looked at her with its small biddy eyes. As currently Elena was limiting her level to 82, the aura she was giving off was even lower than a D rank adventurer. This actually made the pangolin extremely surprised as it had never expected the scene of a weakling appearing before it with extremely high confidence.

This was a bizzare scene and after getting confused by it, the pangolin monster did not immediately attack Elena and instead started to wait for her to make a move. Elena actually appreciated it as it gave her enough time to prepare herself.

She focused extremely hard and felt all the cells of her body. She made sure that she was throwing a simple punch with a strength stat of less than 60 and without anything enhancing it. She especially made sure that the new source of power inside her body was influencing the punch as little as possible.

The pangolin was most confident in its defense. Even in the worst case situation, it knew that the thing that could save it was it's defense. But still Elena gave the Pangolin a terrible feeling, so even when she was using the most simple and basic punch, the pangolin decided to be extra cautious and put up its best defense.

This was also a good thing for Elena. So after making sure that she had done everything she could, she finally punched the monster. Her punch was not too heavy but still she was not acting half hearted. Achieving her desired result by acting half hearted would not fulfill her goal as she would still be unable to control her strength.

As soon as the punch connected, a visible impact went through the body of the monster. Blood started coming out from the gaps of its natural armour. The impact Elena had felt was just too heavy so she was sure that this time she was able to hold back quite a bit. But seeing the result, Elena was still worried that even this much was above the endurance limit of the pangolin monster.

As Elena was getting worried about this, to her utter joy, the pangolin slightly moved. It's whole body was in terrible state and it was definitely on the verge of death but still Elena was sure that it's fingers moved slightly. Elena hurriedly used her appraisal skill to make sure and it turned out that this monster still had 11 points of HP left. So Elena had succeeded in limiting her strength enough to not one shot this monster.

This pangolin was a level 272 monster while she was at level 82. So with a level gap of 190, what Elena did was still insame. But at least, with this example, Elena was sure that she was doing the right thing and her training was definitely working. Knowing just this much was enough to make Elena's mood good.

As this pangolin monster had made her extremely happy by not dying, Elena happily gave it a few pats. But with how insanely injured it was, it almost died just from the loving pats. But fortunately Elena noticed it in time and healed it up.

With how helpful this monster was, Elena was unwilling to kill it. And after taking a closer look, Elena also found the Pangolin to be quite cute with its small biddy eyes. So she took it inside her mini world and instead of killing it.

Then with a refreshed mood, she simply tinker with the choas source a little bit. She did not completely made it inactive and instead adjusted it to be in the same level as it was before the repairing was done. Only C rank and D rank monsters would appear in this for the time being.

This change was also not permanent. The last chage had lasted for hundreds of years and the changes that Elena made would last for 150 years. If the demons of the village did not slack off and properly used the resources that they had available, it should be very much possible for them to gain enough strength to face this danger zone after that time period.

Then with a very happy mood, Elena went to report this happy news to the village elders.
