Chapter 634: Ch 634: Details of Oblivion

As Saska was once considered to be a candidate to became one of the apostles, she had met with most of the leaders and higher ups of the Oblivion. So she was very familiar with the structure and the inner working of this organisation.

According to her, the members of the organisation were divided into several ranks depending on their importance and authority. The lowest and most disposable ones were the peasants. They were not even aware of the true nature of the organisation or sometimes even of the name. They were mostly responsible for doing the common manual labour and had almost no value or authority.

Then above them were the common members. They were in charge of handling the peasants and were aware of the existence of the organisation. But other than the goal and the a few titbits of information, these common members were not aware of anything important. The lady named Fahi who had fused with a Xenos core was a member of this rank.

Above the common members, there were elites. The elites were trained by the organisation and were extremely loyal. The common members most of the time did not have any super security measures planted in them but that was not the case for the Elites. They were the main force of the Oblivion and held absolute authority over the common members.

Then above the elites, there were envoys. These envoys were once elite who had managed to show exceptional performance and had managed to get a promotion. They held considerable amount of authority in the Oblivion but were allowed to only order around the elites that were under them. Saska's current position was exactly this.

Then above the envoys, there were the apostles. Only the members with highest loyalty, authority and strength were allowed to reach this position. There were less than 20 apostles in the whole organisation even though they had well over 20 million members world wide. From that it was clear how rare the apostles actually were.

Envoys were direct subordinates of the apostles. An apostle was only allowed to order around his own people. The apostle of the Oblivion were not completely united and were divided into several camps.

There was another thing special about the apostles. They were allowed meet the creator, who was the god of this organisation. They were also allowed to use special artifacts that were stored in the headquarters. This made the apostles the second highest authority figure in the Oblivion.

Then finally, above the apostles there were five leaders. Those leaders were extremely mysterious and almost no one had any decent information about them. Among the leaders, three of them liked to hide their faces while the remaining two did not. But Saska was not sure if the faces they were showing were their real ones or not.

The leaders were all extremely powerful and according to Saska, their strength was comparable to the elite elders of the tower. Among the tower elders, they could be compared with Lifua and Kendrick in terms of strength. And the apostles were also strong enough to match a regular elder.

...

Hearing how strong the leaders and the apostles were, Lifua and the Heity got a grave look on their face. If what Saska said was true, then the combat power of the Oblivion would be stronger than the tower, which was almost impossible for them to believe. In that case, even if the tower was able to find out the location of the head quarters of this organisation, they would not be able to do much harm to them.

Even though what Lifua heard gave her a headache, she did not got the chance to think too much about it as Saska was not done talking and had more informations to give.

...

After telling the ladies about the authority structure of the Oblivion, next Saska started to tell them about how the research of the organisation was going. The researchers needed Saska to capture various animals and even humans. So Saska had gotten the chance to visit various research centres quite a few times while delivering the humans and animals.

According to her, the experiment in the largest zoo was their most successful venture of the last century. They had developed quite a bit in the dark and showing this success to the world, the organisation was planning to sway the hearts of many people. That was also the reason why after hiding for so many years, the organisation was willing to take the risk to appear in the limelight. If they could get the zoo under them, that would have been better. But that was not their main objective for this mission.

With this major success under their belt, the organisation was in need of more manpower. Even though they had over 20 million members, most of them were peasants and could not do anything valuable for the organisation. What they wanted were intelligent people, who would be able to help with the reaserch.

Heity was bit suspicious that anyone would be willing to join such a shady organisation. But Koene explained to her that it was very much possible. As Koene herself did not have a strong heart tool, she was able to understand the mentality of the people who would want to join a dark organisation like this for the sake of gaining more power. In the past, when Koene had seen her sister coming back injured from her missions, even she had wished to gain such power.

Hearing Koene's explanation, Heity fell into deep thoughts. The same was true for Lifua who was busy thinking of countermeasures to stop many people from joining the Oblivion in a frenzy. That would be terrible. Saska also could not think about anything more to say. So the whole drawing room fell into silence.

The one who broke this silence was Elena. She reassured the ladies that everything will be fine and told them that she was soon planning to meet with the head of the truth guild. If the elder tower had the help of the truth guild, then they would have a high chance of not only matching but even overpowering the Oblivion.

Hearing that did gave the ladies a little bit reassurance. Lifua was quite skeptical about the truth guild and the elder tower cooperating with one another as both of them were not fond of each other. But she was also sure that in a time of crisis like this, they would be able to find a middle ground.

Seeing that even after her assurance, the mood in the room was low, Elena decided to bring out her trump card. A little girl suddenly entered the room after getting a signal from Elena and in a cheerful voice, she shouted -

"Sister."
