After some time, the guard returned with a bigger than regular merman following behind him. This merman had a very muscular build and he also had a crown on his head. From this, Elena guessed that this man was most probably the lord of the city.

After seeing Elena, the lord himself escorted her in. He was extremely respectful toward her. He very dearly loved his daughter but all the doctors and healers of the city has failed to cure her. From this he had almost lost all his hope.

But then Elena came like a bright ray of light and hope in his darkest hours. As she was not from the city and was an outsider, the city lord hoped that she would be able to do something. He was putting all his hopes on Elena. That was the only thing he was able to do for the time being as a father.

Without wasting any time, city lord Triston brought Elena to his daughter's room. There Elena saw a beautiful middle aged mermaid quietly sitting while looking toward the celling with sad eyes. Close to the celling, a little mermaid girl with very cute features was floating while being covered in a green bubble.

The city lord told Elena that this green bubble was created by a special skill of a healer of this city and it allowed even the low level little princess to stay perfectly healthy without the need of any food or drinks.

As Elena and Triston entered the room, the lady looked at them with sad eyes. Seeing this, Triston started to act happy a bit forcefully and told the lady that Elena was a great doctor from the outside and she would definitely be able to cure their daughter.

He also introduced the lady as Cora, his wife. Both of them had been extremely worried since their daughter had started to act this way. Cora held Elena's hand and with tears in her eyes requested Elena to cure her beloved daughter.

Everything that the couple was doing was giving Elena a lot of pressure but she did not mind it. Elena smiled gently at Cora and told her that everything would be fine and her daughter would be perfectly okay after she has done with her.

Saying this to reassure both father and mother, Elena started her check up. She floated up to the bubble and gently inserted her hand inside. Then she touched the girls forehead and started to check her condition with her current abilities.

From a simple scan of her body, everything was perfectly fine. All the bodily functions were working perfectly normally for the little girl name Sianna. Next Elena started to check her soul. Even though it was just a dream and was not real, the soul of Sianna was still there and it was extremely well made. Elena was impressed by whoever had designed this area.

If anyone just checked her soul casually, they would be able to find nothing wrong on the surface. Searching deeper in the soul was not easy and without someone studying things related to soul, doing something like that was extremely dangerous.

But fortunately Elena was an expert in everything related to soul. So she was able to probe the deeper parts of Sianna's soul and soon found a small black worm like insect there. It was releasing very small threads from its body which were covering Sianna's soul and was slowly taking over it. It looked like this worm had been in action for a long time and had covered almost 95 percent of her soul with the threads.

From this Elena guessed that it had not appeared just a month ago. It was probably trying to take over Sianna's soul for a long time. As for the reason why the symptoms appeared only a month ago, it was probably because by then the worm had taken over a majority of her soul.

After finding out the problem, the following steps were easy. Elena focused and started to get rid of the threads one by one. There were millions of those threads but Elena was also destroyed thousands of them in seconds. That was the reason why in almost no time, Elena was done with destroying all the threads.

As it's threads got destroyed, the worm noticed it and became very angry. It had to work very hard for years to get to this stage discretely. But in just a few seconds, all its hard work became useless.

It immediately detected Elena and judged that she was definitely responsible for this loss of his. Immediately the worm counterattack.

Even though this soul worm was very small, it's level was not low. I was a special creature with power level of 486. But as it was a rare soul type worm and had various special abilities, even a level 500 being would not be able to easily defeat it. It was also extremely good in stealth so when it was hiding inside a soul, even a level 550 plus demigod rank powerhouse would have a hard time finding it.

Fighting it, there was high possibility that even the city lord would not be able to defeat it with his high power level of 520. But naturally, it was not a problem for Elena. When the black worm tried to attacked her, she immediate used a spell called "Soul Purification Purgatory". This was a special fire elemental soul type spell that was super effective on substances that could pollute the soul. So obviously it was super effective on this insect.

This made the worm mad and it became furious. In its anger, it decided that if it was going to die, it was going to take everyone down with it. With that in mind, it immediately tried to devour Sianna's soul.

Seeing what this worm was trying to do, Elena did not wasted any time and cast another spell called "Soul Isolation Barrier". It was an extremely powerful barrier spell that covered the worm and stopped it from doing anything to the little girl's soul.

This barrier was also protecting the worm from outside attacks but as currently the worm was getting burned inside the barrier, Elena had no need to add any more attacks from the outside. So while being trapped in the barrier, the troublesome soul worm turned into ash and disappeared from the world.

After she was done with the treatment, Elena opened her eyes. She then told the two worried parents the good news that they daughter was cured. While Elena was telling them that, Sianna woke up and quietly called out "Mother, Father". This brought tears to the eyes of both parents.

After that Elena was invited to have dinner with the city lord and his family where they talked about various things. There Elena was told about an island some distance from the city where lightning never siezed to fall. Elena judged that this island was going to be her next destination.

Elena was also taken to the treasury of the city lord, where a silver ring with indigo gem was silently sitting just as Elena was expecting. So naturally Elena did not choose that and instead choose a different item from the city lord's collection.

After doing so, just as Elena was about the leave the treasury, suddenly the whole world froze.
