After devouring food in several more places, Elena finally reached the location of the first King of Flavours. Her body was already glowing with a deep black aura indicating her immense contribution of sinful energy of gluttony for the city of sin.

The first King of Flavours was not selling his food in a shop and instead was giving food as reward for completing a trial of his. According to him, food tasted better after doing a lot of hard work and making the eater to work hard also a part of his recepie.

The king of Flavours was an amiable looking man holding a pair of large buther knives. From the other food enthusiasts, Elena had learnt that this man was an expert bucher and also an expert at grilling meat. Normally grilling meat was not a very hard task but the grilled meat made by him was so tasty that it was out of the world.

This man with a gentle disposition was not that gentle in reality. He was a level 651 powerhouse who had killed who knew how many powerful beasts and monsters. His title of "Dreadful Bucher" was the proof of that.

As Elena went to the man and asked about tasting his food, he at first furrowed his brow a little bit but then relaxed again. He gave Elena a gentle smile and took out an ominous looking box from his spatial storage. Seeing the box, a few of the people present in the large field became scared and moved away from the man.

"Miss, if you want to taste my food then first help me kill this beast. If you can do that, I promise to let you eat meat so tasty that you will never forget."

Seeing Elena nodding her head, the amiable man threw the box to the air and it started shining with a scary black light. After that, a large beast appeared in the ground.

The beast had a body full of black scale and two large horns. The bat like wings on its back also looked majestic. It has a serpentine body and was not a true dragon but still had a healthy amount of dragon blood. This beast was a level 670, Dark Wyrm.

The first King of Flavours, Dreadful Bucher Jack had a divine item that was able to capture any one beast and seal it. And he had used that item on this super powerful Dark Wyrm whom he was unable to defeat.

One of his biggest dream in life was to get a chance to bucher this top tier powerhouse and to make various dishes from it. But unfortunately, this Wyrm was just too strong. Even through he had managed to capture it with the assistance of a divine item, Jack had no way of killing this draconic being.

But with his analyse skill, he had found out that Elena was a level 666 powerhouse. It was not like Elena had the highest level among his acquaintances but from his experience of many battles, he judged that Elena was stronger than what her level suggested. So he was trying to borrow Elena's might to fulfill this dream of his.

Elena was fine with this. This Wyrm really looked tasty. She was sure that if this beast was cooked by a skilled chef like Jack, it would taste heavenly.

As Elena was daydreaming about the taste of this beast, a chill ran down the dragon's spine. But as it was getting realised from its trapped state after a very long time, it disregarded the warning that its draconic insticts gave him and attacked Elena.

The attack started with a swip of its large tail. Elena defended against this attack by simply lifting her hand and blocked it. Then she was going to kill it with a single punch but stopped at the last moment. She stopped because she remembered the reason why this king of Flavours was making the eater to work hard.

His target was to make the eaters exhausted so that the food tasted even better to them. So if Elena simply defeated the monster without any hardship, then that would not fulfill the aim of this trial.

So Elena restricted herself to be extremely weaker than the dark Wyrm. Then she started to fight it with her bare hands. As currently her stats were all only restricted to be one tenth of the wyrm, this was a hard battle even for Elena. If she made even the slightest bit of mistake in blocking, dodging or parrying the attacks, she would take a massive amount of damage with her lowered defense.

The battle lasted for almost an hour but the last victor was still Elena. She was actually not that confident that she would be able to win flawlessly with stats this low but fortunately she managed to pull it off. She even did not have to cheat at all by using a skill that only a higher level person could use.

Normally Elena did not give herself this much of an disadvantage as it did not really help with her growth. That was still the case but a battle like this was very satisfying. Elena decided that even if it was useful for her growth, doing a battle like this once in a while would not be a bad idea.

After Elena was done killing the Wyrm, a cheer erupted in the ground. This Wyrm was without a doubt the strongest opponent that any trial taker had to fight. So seeing its fall was a great experience for all of them. Even Jack was crying tears of joy.

As Elena moved away and gave Jack some space, he started to do his buchering work with great concentration. As the scales of the Wyrm was very tough, dismantling this beast was not easy. But still slowly but surely Jack started to take the corpse of the dark Wyrm apart.

He was done with his task after about an hour. Obviously this little time was not enough to completely bucher such a large beast but it was at least enough to bucher a part of it which was considered to be the tastiest part of this Wyrm.

As the Killer of this Wyrm and the person who was responsible for fulfilling his lifelong dream, Elena was going to get the first taste.

While Jack was busy dismantling this dragon, Elena was checking out the foods that could be found in the nearby shops. After learning that Jack had started cooking, she quickly ran over while still holding three skewers in her hands.

As Elena was served the hot meat straight from the grill, she happily picked it up and took a bite. Immediately the meat juice and the spices used for marination filled her mouth. Elena's eyes immediately lit up as the amazing taste pleased her taste buds. Jack was truly worthy of having amazing skill in meat grilling.

So while slowly savouring the prize of her first sucessful clear of a King of Flavours, Elena went toward her second target.
