Restart: The World Savior's New Beginning

Chapter 797: Ch 797: A Foolish Plan

All the members of the Dark Gold Treaty were bound by a very powerful contract to not leak anything to a third person. If they tried to do it or someone forced them to get the information from them, this contract would immediately take effect and would prevent the information from being leaked.

There were various contracts which had this effect of information leakage prevention. But for powerful people, there were always ways to bypass this. But the contract that the Dark Gold Treaty used was extremely powerful and even for level 600 plus peak powerhouses, these contracts were almost invincible.

But as a generational hater of the Dark Gold Treaty, Esfe had managed to create a way with her unique powers to do just that. She was one of the rare few people in this world who had the skills to even bypass the best contracts that the Dark Gold Treaty could use.

When she was using mind manipulation on Ysfaq, he was not the only one who was getting affected by her illusions. Esfe was one of the rare few illusion users who could even effect non living things and not just the living ones with a proper mind. Even something conceptual like a contract was not outside her control.

So when she had forced Ysfaq to write down the information, at the same time, she was also making the contract to believe that nothing problematic was happening with this event. That was the reason why she was able to get something this secretive from a high executive of the Dark Gold Treaty. If anyone else would have tried to do the same, they would have been in a world of trouble.

...

As Elena started reading the notebook, first her expression showed astonishment then that changed into amazement and mockery. After she was done reading the whole thing, Elena was not sure if she should laugh or cry about how stupid and delusional those arrogant and greedy people were actually being.

Elena had seen quite a few examples of greed making people more dumb and this was once again another example of that. There was no doubts that the leaders of the Dark Gold Treaty were smart individuals. Without that they would not have been able to build their massive wealth and power.

But in their pursuit of the sin of greed, they had started making assumptions and plans based on incomplete information. And the result of that was this "Grand Plan" that they were hashing.

...

The dark barrier hiding the main Temple of the Evil Goddess was something that no one under the level of 700 could even put a scratch on. Even if a god with levels above the 700 mark came, they also would need to put in a considerable amount of effort to actually break it.

But on the last day of the festival of sin, the strength of the barrier would be lowered significantly. The leaders of the Dark Gold Treaty were unaware of the reason why that would happen but as they had gotten this news from a former member who now had a direct connection with the goddess of Absolute Evil's divine world, the validity of this news was very high.

So when the power of the barrier would be at its lowest, the Dark Gold Treaty was planning to create a hole in it by using the powers of the divine artifacts that their organisation had access to. But obviously one or two divine artifact would not be enough to accomplish this.

The Dark Gold Treaty alone had access to four divine artifact which would be barely enough to made some cracks on the surface of the barrier. Breaking it would be impossible with only that number of divine artifacts. But now that the Ruler Assembly was working with them who had access to 5 divine artifacts, this task was not impossible anymore.

With 9 divine artifact, they had a chance to successfully break open the barrier. But if their calculations about the strength of the barrier was wrong or if the barrier had some damage reducing properties, then that would be very troublesome.

So the Dark Gold Treaty wanted to have at least 12 artifacts to make sure nothing would go wrong. Those divine artifacts were also the reason why they were trying to get another organisation to join them.

As for the reason why members without a divine artifact were also needed for this, that was because this barrier made by the goddess could be weaken if her believers rejected it with their heart.

And as for why the Dark Gold Treaty wanted to create a hole in the barrier in the first place, the answer to that was simple. In the city of sin, there was no one who would not pay an insane sum of money to see the temple of the goddess before the offical opening. That opportunity was so valuable that it was basically priceless.

The greedy Dark Gold Treaty leaders were hoping that as soon as they managed to really create a hole in the barrier, many people would start begging them to take their money to bring them inside. During this process, the vast wealth of the Treaty might even become double in size.

The people who were trying to prevent it were doing so only because they did not want to go against any plans that the goddess might have about the barrier and because this act was a little bit disrespectful toward her. They had no idea about what kind of insane danger this act could bring forth.

Elena could easily imagine what would happen if the Dark Gold Treaty actually managed to break open the barrier. The Evil Devils working inside would be set free and due to their nature, they would start a carnage. People would be killed without any restraint, anyone in view would be in danger of getting either fucked or eaten. It would basically be a very terrible situation which would do nothing but make Seola sad.

That was why after learning about this foolish plan, Elena immediately decided to stop it. Actually Elena was sure that this plan was a failure from the very beginning but still, as Seola's happiness was on the line here, Elena decided to take no risks.

As for why Elena was sure that this plan was failure, it was simple. She knew the reason why the strength of the barrier would be lowered on that day. That was exactly that day when Seola was going to take Elena to visit of the temple by herself. To give Elena the best possible experience, Seola was planning to lower the strength of the barrier so that the general nature of Valhalla could start to influence the temple.

But as the person who would be lowering the strength would be Seola herself, she was also easily capable of immediate making the barrier stronger too. And if anything untoward was happening to the barrier, Seola would not think twice before making the barrier even stronger than its current state.

That was why Elena was sure that everything would be fine with Seola's presence but still she was planning to teach the Dark Gold Treaty an unforgettable lesson about how bad extreme and foolish greed could be.
