Elena and Tomna sat side by side before a large table while a decent number of spectators were watching everything from the side. The King of Flavours, Jobriel was inside the kitchen making a few dishes. But that did not mean he was not doing his job as a judge properly.

Jobriel had a special skill that allowed him to create shadow clones. These clones were not very strong and could not use any skills, so they were useless in battles. While Tonma was checking the stuffing of all the dumplings, Elena took a whole different approach. She just touched the dumplings from the outside and did nothing else. After checking out all the dumplings this way, she picked out three at random and put them on a plate. Then Elena started devouring the rest of the dumplings with gusto.

This was a very surprising scene for the spectators. From this behaviour, they judged that the three dumplings that Elena had chosen at the very beginning were the three best ones according to her judgement. But how can someone find that out without taking a bite of the dumplings ? The spectators had no idea.

Soon the verdict of the first round was given and both of the participants had managed to find out all three of the best dumplings. But as the first round was very simple, that was just what was expected from them. Actually the people watching the competition were surprised that Elena had also managed to find all the correct answers with such low efforts.

For the second round, sweet and sour rosted corn like vegetables was brought before them. This food item was a hard task as even the most veteran food enthusiasts would have trouble with it. That was because there could be a flaw with an insignificant grain of the corn which was extremely hard, almost impossible to detect without eating the whole thing. So the spectators started to seriously watch how the Gourmet Tycoons were going to tackle this round.

Just like before, Tomna took the simple route and started to check out all plates very carefully individually. While on the other hand, Elena did something different. She asked the waiter bring the previous three submitted dumplings back and after keeping one at the side, Elena devoured the remaining two.

After that, just like before, she chose three plates and devoured 15 other ones. But this time there were two plates that Elena did not even touch. This style started to make all the spectators very curious and they started to make assumptions that Elena was someone who eat with her guts. So instead of using proper investigation techniques, she was just going with her guts for this competition.

The second round lasted for a long time but that was mostly because Tomna took a lot of time deciding on his answer. On the other hand, after Elena was done devouring the 15 plates, she even ordered extra serving of different foods.

When the result of the second round was out, the audience became excited. This time, Tomna had managed to find only one right answer while Elena had again gotten the perfect score. So just after the second round, Elena had already taken a solid lead of two points.

Just like that, the compitition continued. Jobriel was not a chef who had given his heart and soul to only a single type of cuisine. Jobriel was also a lover of food and he had visited various relams and cultures in order to learn as many dishes as he could.
