As the silence continued, the hosts were the first to come back to their senses. Immediately after that, the sexy lady called out with a massive smile on her face -

While people were astonished with Elena's action outside the VIP room, the situation in inside was not much different. Both Cherry and Haity were also dumbfounded with the amount that Elena had suddenly called out. Only Azusa was perfectly calm in this situation.

Their reactions were extremely satisfying to Elena. So her smug smile become even more arrogant. But after this first bid, Elena did not get the chance to show off anymore for a long time as all the items that came to the stage afterwards were mediocre ones in which Elena was not interested at all.

As the auction continued, the participants finally managed to return back to normal. Elena's super large bid had obviously given them a shock but now after a few regular biddings, the crowd finally started to relax.

When the auction had reached it's halfway point, again another item was bought on the stage which caught Elena's attention. The item in question was not in the list given to her so it definitely was one of the secret items.

It looked like a simple spoon and a slightly bent fork. In a normal market, no one would be willing to buy something like this. But this place was different. There were a lot of people present here who had good eyes. So they were able to sense the archaic aura of magic that was present on this pair of spoon and fork.

The people who stood at the peak of this world's power were Great Sages. These people were masters of magic and their body continuously released the Arcane aura. So immediately many people guessed that this pair of fork and spoon belonged to a great sage.

The great sages were a symbol of power in this world and were extremely famous. Any item even slightly touched by them would become valuable and many inhabitants of this world would be willing to pay a lot of money for it. But that obviously was not the reason why Elena got interested in this item.

The reason for her interest was very special. After seeing the spoon and fork, Elena was able to immediately understand that was owner of these two items was a foodie just like her. So Elena suddenly wanted to find this fellow food enthusiast and learn about the best spot for eating in this world from him or her.

Even though this item was something that was used by a sage, as it was just a regular spoon and fork, they were not very valuable. But still the price had managed to reach close to a million stella. Elena immediately took action and called out a bid of 1.5 million stella. This stopped all the other competing people and she manage to get the spoon and fork without any problem.

Obviously Elena did not have any interest in buying this thing for collection. Elena only bought it because these spoon and fork still had a slight aura of the owner on it. By closely analysing this, Elena might be able to find out the location of the food loving sage.

As the auction continued, soon the scroll from the infamous Organisation called the Night Demon Assembly was brought on the stage. While the hosts were trying to introduce the item to the audience, Elena started analysing it.

This analysis was completed in just a few seconds. Unfortunately, the spell "Seven Nights of Regret" was not a spell of a lesser concept but still Elena decided to buy it. That was because Elena was able to find signs that the seven nights of regret had a superior version that definitely used not just one but the combination of two lesser concepts.

So Elena wanted to see if she could figure those two lesser concepts out by studying and investigating the lesser spell. The chance of Elena's success was very low but as it was not zero, Elena was willing to try it out.

Because of their peculiar nature and mystery, anything belonging to the Night Demon Assembly had quite a demand. So it was estimated to have a high value even though the function of the spell on it was not very clear.

This time, the one who participated in the bidding was Azusa. Even though she did not have the arrogant style of a young master like Elena, she was still a very straight forward bidder who did not use much mindgames with the other competitors. Instead she liked to dominate everyone with her monetary power just like Elena but without any arrogance.

She also did not bid an absurdly high number like Elena from the very beginning. Instead she had a bidding war with the other people who also wanted this scroll and managed to defeat them by outbidding them again and again. At last she managed to get the scroll for a high price of 66 million Stella.

Soon, the auction reached its final stage. Now all the items that would be brought out would be sold for at least a hundred million Stella. This would also be one of the most exciting part of the auction with several rich families fighting with one another.

Elena did not really care about it but as she had two more items left that she wanted to get her hands on, Elena might come in conflict with them. But that was not really something Elena needed to worry about.

The Astroyume family was a famous ancient mage family of this academic city with a lot of influence. The young heir of the family was participating in this auction and his eyes were fixed on the list given by the Elder Works. The item he was eyeing was the Scarlet Sinner magic scroll.
