After Lucian revealed his hidden trump card of "Instantaneous Teleportation" his danger level in the eyes of remaining participants went up a notch. It was good for both dodging and attacking so it was quite hard to deal with. This gave a headache to most of the participants, especially Octavia. But before she dealt with this he first had to get rid of Colette who was the top scorer for the combat division.

After watching her previous matches she was sure that Colette had not shown most of her cards. Octavia could not forget about the time when Colette opened her eyes a bit. She could remember that she felt like she died when that happened. She was sure that if Elena didn't come to stop Colette at that time she would have actually died. She actually asked one teacher who had a good relationship with her family to ask Elena about her eyes.

At that time instead of just telling the teacher about it Elena met with Octavia and she had an interesting talk with her. Elena was very impressed by Octavia's talent, hardwork and intelligence. Even the alliance she created was a brilliant stroke of genius.

It might look like the alliance were unable to do much in the tournament but most of the noble who were able to reach the top 32 had gotten help from the alliance. Without its help they would not be able to reach that stage. So she was able to make herself the representative of all the nobles with just this step. And she didn't expect anyone from the alliance to go too far in the tournament. Only one person needed to get a good result for the alliance to succeed and she bet on herself to get that result.

Colette and Octavia were facing off against each other on the stage. This was a very exciting match as the best candidate from the noble side was facing off against the best candidate from a commoner background. So the audiences were hyped.

Both of them were serious about winning the tournament so they didn't bother talking with each other.

After getting the confirmation that Colette would not open her eyes throughout the tournament Octavia was confident about her victory. So as soon as the beginning signal was given she started casting. Five magic circles appeared behind her. Two of them were fire magic spells "Fire Lance" and two others were wind magic spells "Riding Gust" to boost the power of fire magic spells. The last spell was a non-attribute magic spell called "Shockwave" to boost the speed of the fire lances

As for Colette she just raised her hand and a dense white coloured light appeared on her hand. Then she waved her hand to create a light barrier from that. The fire lances hit the wall made of light but they were only able to penetrate it a little bit before losing all strength. Then Colette waved her hand again and five balls of light were shot toward Octavia. Octavia knew that those balls of light were bad news so she created several magic barriers on its way. There were normal magic barriers and even elemental magic barriers. She wanted to use those barriers to test out the property of the light ball and especially its weaknesses.

But unfortunately for her the balls of light were able to easily break all the barriers blocking it. Having no other way, she used a wind magic spell to boost her evasion rate and barely dodged the balls. Octavia was really astonishing that the light used by Colette had no elemental weakness. Even the dark magic barrier which should be effective against it and the same elemental type barrier made of light magic were ineffective against it.

Octavia really had to find a way to block her light magic. She also felt frustrated. Colette's light magic was fast, really strong and very hard to block. And now they didn't even have any weaknesses. She could not only use it to attack but also for defence. This magic of her was almost almighty.

Octavia wanted to test Colette's magic a lot so she didn't stop her attacks. She barely dodged Colette's attacks and some even hit her but she didn't mind and carried in testing. After quite a lot of tests she became sure that the reason why Colette's light element was so strong was because it was not light element.

Instead it was a higher form of the light element and that was why no other basic element forms could become a for it. But someone could access a higher element only when they became a grand mage so obviously Octavia didn't have access to any of them. So, she had no other way to win other than to rely on her inherent special ability, even tho she absolutely hated doing it.

Octavia was born with a special ability to cause an insane amount of destruction. He ability was called "Divine Favour". Even tho her ability had the word 'divine' in it, it wasn't related to gods. Divine Favour gave her a certain charm toward natural phenomena like storm, Lightning fall, blizzard etc and she would be completely immune to them.

But when she was little she had no control over it. And one day when she was playing happily with her mother and two maids who took care of her, she suddenly attracted lighting and she lost her mother and two maids who were like her mother. From that day she had practiced a lot to somehow control her powers and now in present she could turn the skill off and could even somewhat control what she was going to attract.

But she hated her skill. She hated herself too. So she didn't mind how bad her personality went or if she became a bad person as in her opinion she already had a place reserved for her in hell, so whatever she did didn't matter in the long run.

Even tho she really really hated this skill of her, she had to use it as winning was more important for now. So she activated the skill in overdrive. If she was in a snowy area there was a 99% chance of a blizzard occurring. If she was near the sea, everyone should watch out for a tsunami and if there were clouds in the sky lightning was definitely going to fall near her.

And coincidentally today the sky was cloudy. So Octavia called upon thunder and storm to destroy Colette. And it happened. Suddenly wind started to pick up speed and the clouds got thicker over the venue. Then a tornado surrounded the stage and lightning started falling over and over again. In this messy situation no one was able to see anything on the stage and the same was true for Octavia. But she was sure that even if Colette could somehow survive it she would still be in her last leg.

When the stage was visible again everyone looked at the stage with anticipation. Noble wished to see only Octavia on the stage. Commoners hoped to see Colette still holding on. But to everyone's surprise when the stage was finally clear they saw a completely unharmed Colette standing there. Her whole body was glowing with light particles. Another bolt of lightning that had not fallen yet suddenly fell on her and everyone saw her getting terribly burned but all the wounds healed in mere seconds. And that was astonishing. Even some of the best healers would take more time than that to heal someone so badly hurt.

Actually Colette's light was harmful to everyone except her. That light was a very strong healing factor if she used it in herself. That was why she was able to heal so quickly.

Now that Octavia had used her skill so drastically, she was quite tired. Colette also wanted to finish this match as soon as possible now so she summoned an extra large ball of light over her head. Seeing that Octavia lost all her hope but she still didn't surrender. She took the ball of light head on and endured the pain while she was getting disintegrated. Colette went to the semis.

As Octavia disappeared she found herself inside Elena's room instead of the arena. She didn't say much but that one thing and that made Octavia cry in happiness.
