The East Victory Command Center fell silent on the high platform. Wei Mo and Tao Zhi stared intently at the mirror image, their faces turning green.

Wei Mo suddenly shouted, "Quick, send reinforcements to the Heavenly Court's side immediately, get there before them to intercept them, hurry!"

That's right, it was obvious they were heading towards the Heavenly Court's reinforcements. Tao Zhi quickly scrambled to issue orders.

Seeing the flickering flames pass by in the mirror image, Wei Mo yelled again, "Tell those in the fire zone not to block, go after them!"

Helping to block was pointless; they were clearly being used, it was infuriating to the point of almost spitting blood.

The Western Bull Commander Niu Qian and Beiju Commander Lan She both ordered pursuit.

Ming Chaofeng, arms crossed, wasn't concerned. He saw Shi Chun kill Dou Jingshan and flee, guessing they'd head towards the Heavenly Court team, as they all belonged there.

Who knew that Li, an assistant to Pu Gong, would suddenly say after enlarging the glowing dots on the Mountain River Map, "Commander, Shi Chun and his group are heading our way."

The mirror image didn't clearly show where they were heading, but Li was cautious. He repeatedly zoomed in on the Mountain River Map to verify. Finding that the real-time movement of the dots was incorrect, he compared it again to confirm they were indeed going in the direction where their group was lurking.

Ming Chaofeng's previously crossed arms dropped, his eyes widened as he stared at the mirror image of Shi Chun and his group, discarding armor, preparing for their escape.

He urgently communicated, "Li, have you coordinated with our people?"

Understanding his intent, Pu Gong responded through the transmission, "Everything's been arranged secretly. If there's a chance for Sky Splitting Sword and Li to handle it, they will seize the opportunity and eliminate Shi Chun, achieving several goals at once. I'll remind them again."

Ming Chaofeng nodded slightly, then turned to focus intently on the mirror image, his gaze becoming extremely expectant.

In the East Victory Command Center, Tao Zhi, after verifying the Mountain River Map, suddenly let out a strange shout, "Sir, Shi Chun is not heading towards the Heavenly Court, but towards the Nanshan reinforcements."

"Ah?" Wei Mo's exclamation was off-pitch, filled with incredulity. He then raised his hands into fists, furious at being played.

The situation with the reinforcements was that East Victory was in the middle, with Nanshan and Heavenly Court on either side.

He knew full well that every fleeting moment in such a situation was extremely precious. He had just ordered the forces towards the Heavenly Court, and by the time the news traveled back and the forces turned around, it might be too late to stop Shi Chun and his group from meeting up with the Nanshan forces.

He breathed heavily, his face flushed, aware of that cunning man, yet still couldn't defend against him. This wasn't just being played; it was a humiliation.

But there was nothing to do but amend orders and have the forces turn around; giving up the pursuit wasn't an option.

The Mingshan Sect group fled urgently, Shi Chun unchained himself and discarded his armor. He once again grabbed Li Hongjiu, holding him hostage under his arm, and cleaned Li Hongjiu's face with magic, even tying his hair into a ponytail to reveal his face.

They frequently glanced back at the ever-increasing number of pursuers.

Not long after, a large group of five or six thousand soldiers appeared ahead, without armor, coming towards them.

"Are these the Nanshan reinforcements? Is it Shi Chun leading?"

The leader shouted with magic.

Shi Chun shouted back with magic, "It is me. Quickly cover our retreat!"

The incoming troops immediately cleared a path for Shi Chun and his team to pass through.

As they broke through, Shi Chun suddenly held a knife to Li Hongjiu's neck, acting as if ready to slice his throat at any moment, shouting loudly, "Li Hongjiu is here, cover our retreat quickly!"

With those words, they barreled through the troops, cutting a path through.

He was blatantly using Li Hongjiu as a hostage, having no other choice. Going to the Heavenly Court reinforcements, he couldn't guarantee Manxi wouldn't harbor ill intentions towards Li Hongjiu. A verbal promise was worth nothing; if they went back on their word, at worst, they'd give you a bit more credit, leaving you without any recourse.

The reinforcements caught up, looked at each other, perplexed. Someone quickly pulled out a token to contact the Command Center, needing to ask what to do since the opposing side took Li Hongjiu hostage without giving them a chance to act.

The extended line of Nanshan forces prompted the small group of pursuing soldiers to halt, not daring to act and intending to wait for reinforcements.

Seeing in the mirror image that Shi Chun had a knife to Li Hongjiu's neck, Ming Chaofeng's face instantly darkened. The speed of this enemy-ally reversal was far too fast.

This scene naturally caught Wei Mo's eye in the East Victory Command Center. His eyes bulged out, filled with disbelief.

Uncontrollably, he raised his hand and with a loud slap, hit himself across the face, overwhelmed with regret and frustration. Who said Shi Chun wouldn't take Li Hongjiu hostage after rescuing him?

Now he finally understood why Shi Chun dared to lead people towards the Nanshan reinforcements.

This slap also surprised everyone on the platform, making them turn their heads to look.

"Sir..." Tao Zhi approached in shock and doubt.

Wei Mo shook his head, unable to respond, not wanting to say anything. The blow was enough to leave him feeling like a wounded beast licking its wounds, breathing deeply, "Inform Yan Zhili, pursue them, spare no effort to take them down!"

He was thoroughly enraged!

On the high platform of the Heavenly Court Team Command Center, Manxi laughed, shaking his head, "Rescuing only to take him hostage, interesting, but what's the point? Better to come to us directly.
