Super Rich from Winning a Lottery

Chapter 192: Investing in Building a Film and Television Base

Yi Anguo also gave each of them a Huaxing smartphone; on his return to his hometown this time, he brought quite a few such items as gifts.

The enhanced version of the first generation of Huaxing smartphones was already launched for sale last September, and after reaching a strategic partnership with BYD, the production capacity has significantly increased.

Now Huaxing smartphones have also been launched overseas, not just in Southeast Asia, but they're also available in the European and American markets.

However, current sales volume is not very high, with limited market share.

The reasons behind this are multifaceted; on one hand, although Huaxing smartphones have gained considerable fame domestically, they can compete with international brands like Apple, Samsung, and Nokia for the domestic market.

Just last year, the total domestic sales of Huaxing smartphones reached as high as 13.8 million units, surpassing the sales of Apple phones.

Due to recently entering overseas markets, with little time and fame, sales volume only reached 6.57 million units in three months, barely surpassing 20 million units globally for the year.

However, for a smartphone brand that's been on the market for less than a year, breaking 20 million in global sales isn't low.

Although brands like Samsung and Nokia have annual sales reaching billions, these are established brand phones with strong capabilities, not something that can be overtaken overnight.

Yet, after entering 2009, Huaxing smartphones gradually opened up in overseas markets, with fame rising quickly, boosting sales rapidly as well.

In the just-ended first quarter, overseas total sales already surpassed ten million units, reaching 11.5 million units, almost doubling last year's total.

However, Huaxing smartphones overseas launch last year was actually equivalent to just one quarter.

The first quarter domestic market sales were 5.8 million units, firmly occupying the top spot among domestic high-end phone brands, with Apple coming in close second at 5.48 million units.

Apple phones and Huaxing smartphones have become each other's biggest competitors, with Samsung third and Nokia starting to fall behind.

After saying goodbye to Huang Liyao's family, the luxury convoy turned back onto the highway, arriving at Yi Anguo's hometown, Yi Family Village in Jian'an City, by evening.

And in front of Yi Anguo's villa, a crowd had already gathered, as news had long spread throughout the entire Yi Family village about Yi Anguo going to Shenzhen, earning a fortune, and becoming a major boss.

Even many surrounding villages had already heard and came to see the spectacle knowing that Yi Anguo was returning to the village today.

Yi Anguo's eldest sister had prepared plenty of alcohol and dishes, waiting for her brother to come home!

Yi Anguo's convoy entered the village and stopped in front of the new home; the location of Yi Anguo's new home is quite favorable, right next to the new rural construction plaza, with gardens that can also be referred to as parks.

The plaza is large, accommodating ten cars without any problem.

The luxurious convoy entering the village immediately startled the entire village; Yi Family village is inherently small, with only a few dozen households, colloquially called "three and a half families."

Which means the village essentially comprises three big families, with Yi Anguo's family being the largest.

Yi Anguo's grandfather had two brothers, leaving behind seven brothers, and Yi Anguo's father had four older brothers and two cousins.

Yi Anguo's eldest uncle had three sons, the eldest son had two sons, namely Yi Dalin and Yi Xiaolin, each of whom has a son.

The second son of the eldest uncle has one son, Yi Junmin, who grew up with Yi Anguo and now works as a city manager in Jian'an City.

The third son has one son, named Yi Defu, who is still young.

Yi Anguo's second uncle had four sons, nine grandsons, and three great-grandsons.

Yi Anguo's third uncle had three sons, seven grandsons, and two great-grandsons.

Yi Anguo's fourth uncle had five sons and eight grandsons.

The eldest son's name is Yi Bailin, married to Sister-in-law Hongmei, who used to live next door to Yi Anguo, serving as a village committee cadre.

Yi Anguo's father only has Yi Anguo as a son, with three grandsons, and surely more to come.

As for Yi Anguo's two cousin uncles, each has three sons and four grandsons.

These only count the males, without counting the women; Yi Anguo had five aunts, and more than a dozen to twenty cousins and more nieces.

With a large family, conflicts are unavoidable; Yi Anguo's father and fourth uncle do not get along and have quarreled several times.

The second son and third son of the eldest uncle have also quarreled, strictly speaking, their wives quarrel, usually over trivial matters, such as uneven inheritance distribution, thinking one received fewer jars than another.

The second and third sons of the fourth uncle do not get along either, not only quarreling but also having physical fights.

The third son and fourth son of the fourth uncle, have quarreled with Yi Anguo's father too, and during times of conflict, they don't consider if you're an uncle.

People in rural areas compete for everything, for irrigation water during droughts, and for opening lands and planting trees, for instance.

The conflict between Yi Anguo's father and fourth uncle was over the homestead and whose tree it was.
