Chapter 104: Relief

Although Gu Feishuang knew Chen Fei was no ordinary person, given that even Young Master Xiao and their Huashu Media's big boss, Boss Liu, showed him such respect, she still found it utterly unbelievable that he claimed to know the top leader of the provincial capital. After all, the title of Municipal Party Secretary for the provincial capital was simply terrifying. He was the top official governing millions of people in Tongzhou and was rumored to be one of the titans of the Jiangnan Provincial Committee. Nobody would believe such a claim.

Lau Tianqi's uncle may have been a vice mayor, but compared to Dong Wencheng, the gap was immense. To put it bluntly, if Dong Wencheng were to become enraged, even the vice mayor would be terrified, let alone his nephew who was just riding on his coattails.

Therefore, even though Chen Fei's status was already very high in her mind, she still felt he was exaggerating. It was probably just a case where Chen Fei happened to see the man at some event. He might consider them acquainted, but whether Secretary Dong even remembered him was anyone's guess. After all, this was the Municipal Party Secretary! If Chen Fei truly had such a solid, heaven-defying connection, wouldn't this minor issue have been resolved in minutes?

However, when Chen Fei said he knew Secretary Dong, he sounded so natural, so matter-of-fact. He gave her the impression of someone who held great power and looked down upon the world, as if he had suddenly become a different person. Could it be that Brother Fei really knows Secretary Dong? Gu Feishuang's thoughts began to waver.

"We've arrived. Please come inside, you two," one of the security officers said, giving Chen Fei a subtle look before barking the command with an imposing air.

They had reached the airport police station. Gu Feishuang's wavering thoughts snapped back to reality, and her delicate body couldn't help but tremble slightly.

"Don't worry, it's nothing," a confident voice said, as a warm, strong hand gently took hers.

What a joke. Who am I, Chen Fei? The worldly heir of a master from the Cultivation World. If I can't even handle a minor scene like this, I might as well give up. Setting everything else aside, if they truly angered me today, with the terrifying strength I possess as a Peak First-Class Ancient Warrior, even the Provincial Public Security Department's special forces unit stationed in Tongzhou couldn't handle me. Not unless those top-level old monsters got involved! But is that even possible?

"Haha, nothing? Who do you think you are? Now that we're here, do you really think you'll be as lucky as you were on the plane and have someone come rescue you?" As Chen Fei was reassuring Gu Feishuang, a mocking sneer came from the side. Lau Tianqi had reappeared, looking utterly arrogant.

Behind him, of course, was Captain Pu, his face a mask of sycophantic servility and a cold smirk to match.

"Young man, starting a public brawl and disturbing the peace are no small charges. By the book, we have to detain you today," Captain Pu said with a derisive smile.

"What do you mean—" Gu Feishuang's pretty face paled, and she trembled as she spoke. It was obviously Lau Tianqi who started it, so why was it now a public brawl and disturbance of the peace? Was there truly no justice to be found in this police station?

However, before she could finish, Chen Fei stopped her with a light chuckle and a wave of his hand. He glanced meaningfully at the captain and said calmly, "Captain Pu, is it? A fight between two people is now a public brawl? And all I did was slap a pig, which only dirtied my hand. This was clearly pest control, so how did it become disturbing the public peace?"

At that point, he shot Captain Pu an odd look and, feigning disbelief, exclaimed dramatically, "No way! Captain Pu, don't tell me you're the same species as this fat pig?"

"Pfft!"

Gu Feishuang instantly burst out laughing.

It wasn't just her. The other security officers were first stunned, then struggled to suppress their own explosive laughter. Even as they frantically covered their mouths, their faces flushed bright red, and a cascade of stifled chuckles filled the air, causing the faces of Lau Tianqi and Captain Pu to alternate between ashen and livid with rage.

"You bastard! Still so arrogant at a time like this! Good, good, good! You think I can't handle you? Captain Pu, you saw it yourself. He insulted a public official in the line of duty. What charge does that warrant?" Lau Tianqi's face was extremely dark, but he suppressed his anger and sneered.

"Obstructing an officer, of course! What are you lot standing around for? Arrest him and take him inside!" Captain Pu shouted, the veins on his forehead bulging. He reached out to grab Chen Fei's collar, intending to drag him into the airport police station.

"AH!"

"He's hitting me! Security is hitting me! Ah! Everyone, come look! Security is beating someone up!"

But before his hand could even touch Chen Fei, Chen Fei let out a "tragic" cry and theatrically threw himself to the ground, screaming and shouting. His antics immediately drew the gazes of nearby travelers and airport passengers.

Seeing this, the vicious expression on Captain Pu's face froze. What the fuck? I didn't even touch you! How is this assault?

"Hey, look over there! What's going on?"

"You see the security guards? They're probably beating someone up. Didn't you hear how miserably that guy on the ground is screaming?"

"Wow, security is beating someone up? This is a huge scoop! Quick, film it! Film it!"

The gawkers, who loved a good spectacle, immediately grew excited. They all pulled out their phones and digital cameras, frantically recording and taking photos. They especially zoomed in on Captain Pu's frozen, vicious expression. Seeing this, his face twisted in rage as he snarled at Chen Fei, who was still "tragically screaming" on the ground, "Kid, have you had enough of your tantrum?"

"Hmm, I think so... you idiot," Chen Fei said, getting up crisply and dusting off his clothes. He looked at the captain's contorted, snarling face and suddenly grinned, flashing a middle finger with a loud laugh.

"You... Fine, fine, fine! I hope you can still laugh like that once you're inside," Captain Pu seethed, his entire body trembling with rage as he pointed a shaking finger at Chen Fei.

"Don't worry, my teeth are white. I'll laugh whenever I feel like it. Let's go, Fei Shuang, we're going in," Chen Fei said, a disdainful smirk playing on his lips.

With that, he took Gu Feishuang's hand and strutted right into the Ji Chang Police Station!

"Brother, look! Those two people who just went into the police station! It looks like Mr. Chen," Dong Shuxian suddenly shouted, as she, Dong Wencheng, and their entourage swiftly rounded a corner.

"Let's go!" Dong Wencheng's expression grew even uglier upon hearing this, and he quickened his pace.

"Stop! Who are you—"

Just as Dong Wencheng's group was about to enter the airport police station, a young security guard on duty at the entrance stopped them.

But before the guard could finish his question, his eyes fell on Dong Wencheng's face—a face instantly recognizable to anyone in the officialdom of Tongzhou City. The words died in his throat. His expression turned to one of horror, and his back was instantly drenched in a cold sweat.

"Who am I? I am Dong Wencheng!" Dong Wencheng's voice was as frigid as his grim expression, his face terrifyingly dark.

He then strode swiftly into the Ji Chang Police Station.

THUD.

It's over... It's really Secretary Dong!?! The guard stood there, dumbfounded, before trembling and collapsing to the ground. Chen Fei's joking words echoed in his mind. *'Brother Fei, who were you just calling?' 'Dong Wencheng. Do you know him?'* He... He... He actually fucking knows Secretary Dong!?

「Meanwhile」

Captain Pu and his men led Chen Fei alone to a secluded detention room, having separated him from Gu Feishuang earlier.

"Get the hell in there!" Captain Pu roared, his true, ferocious nature revealed the moment he opened the cell door.

"Heh."

Chen Fei merely gave him a cold glance. A scornful smile touched his lips as he let out a derisive chuckle and calmly walked inside. This shabby room is even worse than the cell at the Public Security Bureau of the High Tech Startup Zone in Northern Mountain. How could it possibly hold me, Chen Fei?

However, Captain Pu, Lau Tianqi, and the others clearly thought differently. Seeing Chen Fei obediently enter the detention room—entering their domain where they could act with impunity—they all burst into wild laughter. Captain Pu, his face twisted with malice, even produced a long, cloth-wrapped club and pulled on a pair of gloves.

"Kid, you were pretty tough just now, weren't you? You even dared to curse at me. You've got guts, real guts. I'd like to see if you still have the nerve to curse at me now. Go on, if you've got the balls, try it again," Captain Pu taunted, brandishing the club as he laughed manically at Chen Fei.

"Curse at you?"

Chen Fei dug a finger in his ear, an odd expression once again on his face. Damn, this is the first time I've ever heard such a pathetic request. Fine. Since you're asking so sincerely, I'll grant your wish out of the kindness of my heart.

The next moment, he raised both middle fingers high and enunciated slowly and clearly, one syllable at a time: "I-DI-OT!"

For a moment, everyone was stunned, especially Lau Tianqi and Captain Pu. They never imagined that even now, Chen Fei would remain so defiant, that he would still dare to curse at them. Captain Pu's face turned the color of a rotten eggplant, practically steaming with rage. His body trembled violently.

"FUCK YOUR MOTHER!"

Captain Pu finally snapped. His hideous face became even more repulsive as he raised the club with a trembling hand and swung it viciously toward Chen Fei. You still dare to be this arrogant? Fine, then I'll let you be as arrogant as you want!

But just then—BANG!

The door to the detention room behind them was violently kicked open.

"Who is it? Who dares to cause trouble here? Such audacity… Mmmph!"

Lau Tianqi, who was already enraged to the point of a breakdown by Chen Fei, was startled and began to curse loudly. But before he could finish, a quick-thinking security guard beside him clamped a hand over his mouth.

Secretary Dong… Secretary Dong?!

The security guard held his hand over Lau Tianqi's mouth, his own forehead beaded with sweat.

"Who the hell—Ah! You… you are… you're Secretary Dong?!"

Captain Pu was already furious. He hadn't even brought down the baton he was swinging at Chen Fei when a bunch of tactless people burst in and had the gall to shout at him. Naturally, the rage in his heart surged even higher. However, as he spun around, ready to curse them out, his eyes locked onto Dong Wencheng's stern, familiar, and authoritative face. The arrogant expression on his own face instantly froze.

His expression changed drastically. He felt a cold dread shoot up from the soles of his feet, piercing through his entire body. He began to tremble violently with fear.

"You… you're Secretary Dong?" Captain Pu's face was ashen, as if he'd swallowed a dead mouse. Every part of him trembled uncontrollably with fear as a cold chill emanated from his feet.

This… this is impossible!

"Secretary Dong? I'm afraid I'm not worthy of such an address from you," Dong Wencheng said, his face dark. "I never expected our Tongzhou to have scum like you who so flagrantly disregard the law. Imprisoning and detaining people? Who gave you the audacity and the authority?!"

These men were just airport security, not even police officers, yet they were taking the law into their own hands. It was a blatant disregard for the law!

"This… this is… No, Secretary Dong, please, let me explain…" Captain Pu was scared witless. His face was ghostly pale. Secretary Dong had come in person—this was far more terrifying than the police arriving to arrest them.

"Explain? There's no need. Take them all away!" Dong Wencheng had no patience for it. With a wave of his hand, the actual airport police officers behind him immediately swarmed forward, taking Captain Pu, Lau Tianqi, and the others into custody.

"Chen Fei, are you alright?" Dong Wencheng then turned to ask Chen Fei.

"Thank you, Uncle Dong, I'm fine."

Chen Fei calmly shook his head and stood up from the chair in the holding cell.

CLANG.

The handcuffs that had bound him cracked into two pieces and fell to the ground. The perfectly smooth cross-section of the break made everyone present turn pale. Even a man of Dong Wencheng's status and experience was no exception.

The handcuffs used by the police weren't made of ordinary metal; their hardness was terrifying. Yet, Chen Fei had broken them with ease. What's more, the break was so clean and smooth… probably not even his father could have managed that at his peak.

So, this is the power of a First-Class Master? It's… it's truly terrifying.

As Chen Fei and Dong Wencheng's group filed out of the holding cell, only a few dumbfounded security guards were left behind, staring at each other in a stupor. An icy chill crept up their spines.

"This… this… Holy hell," one of them finally breathed.

Those were real, station-issued handcuffs, not toys! And they just… snapped!?

Cold sweat beaded on their foreheads as a deep chill settled in their hearts.

「…」

Meanwhile, when Chen Fei's group went to the airport police station office to get Gu Feishuang, she was initially fraught with worry and fear. However, her expression changed to one of shock when she clearly saw the man standing behind Chen Fei. She couldn't help but gasp.

Secretary Dong… It's really Secretary Dong!

"Let's go. Everything's fine now." In contrast, Chen Fei was perfectly calm, offering Gu Feishuang a smile as he led her out of the airport police station.
