Chapter 324: A Kick and a Slap

The situation developed so rapidly that even Bai Bin was caught off guard. By the time he collected himself, Chen Fei had already kicked Zhan Lingfeng, sending him flying. This prompted Bai Bin to shake his head with a wry smile. "Brother Chen, this is the Tian Kui Pavilion. Please, don't cause any trouble here."

"Cause trouble? What do you mean by that, Bai Bin? Are you blind? Didn't you see it's me, Zhan Lingfeng, who's being beaten? Why haven't you ordered your men to seize him?" Just as Bai Bin finished speaking, Zhan Lingfeng's furious roar echoed in everyone's ears. Young Master Bai Bin's brows furrowed, his expression turning cold.

Zhan Lingfeng certainly had a significant background as the younger brother of Zhan Hu from the Blade Forge of Evil Dragon Pool. Still, that shouldn't overshadow Bai Bin's own status as the current heir of the Bai Family. Since when did such riffraff have the right to shout and bellow in front of me?

"Young Master Bai, please don't be angry," a hoarse, aged voice suddenly rang out. An Elder from the Blade Forge of Evil Dragon Pool stepped forward, apologizing to Bai Bin while casting a venomous glare at Chen Fei. "Lingfeng let his anger get the better of him and spoke recklessly. Please, don't take it to heart. Forgive us, forgive us." To Chen Fei, he said, "Young man, it's unwise to take things too far." This elder possessed, at minimum, the strength of a Half-Step Innate Ancient Martial Artist.

At these words, Zhan Lingfeng shuddered, finally recalling just who he had insulted. Bai Bin was the heir of the Bai Family, a figure qualified to stand shoulder to shoulder with his own brother, Zhan Hu. Even his brother wouldn't speak so casually to Bai Bin.

Yet he had just pointed his finger and cursed at the man? The thought made even the arrogant Young Lord Zhan Lingfeng break out in a cold sweat.

"Young Master Bai, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to target you," he hurriedly apologized, his heart filled with bitterness.

The moment the words left his mouth, however, his face twisted into a ferocious scowl as he glared at Chen Fei. "Elder Du, take him down! I, Zhan Lingfeng, have never suffered such humiliation in my entire life!"

After all, he was the younger brother of the "Fierce Crocodile" Zhan Hu of the Blade Forge of Evil Dragon Pool. He had been spoiled by his older brother since childhood and was used to having his way. When had anyone ever dared to slap and kick him like this? Having been subjected to such treatment today, he simply could not swallow the insult.

"Gentlemen, this is my Bai Family's Tian Kui Pavilion," Bai Bin said, his frown deepening and his voice growing colder.

"Young Master Bai, there are always exceptions," the elder from the Blade Forge of Evil Dragon Pool retorted, his gaze locked grimly on Chen Fei. "The honor of our Blade Forge of Evil Dragon Pool has been greatly humiliated today. If we don't take action, won't it make all of the Four Great Hidden Sects look weak?"

"Besides," the elder, Du Xincheng, continued, "I hear he also possesses Half-Step Innate strength, so it's not as if I'm bullying someone weaker... Wouldn't you agree, young man?"

"Me?" A smirk unconsciously touched Chen Fei's lips, quickly followed by a look of pure mockery. "I'd say your fate will be the same as his."

He gestured to the clear handprint on Zhan Lingfeng's face and the dusty shoe print on his chest. The crowd fell silent for a stunned moment.

Then, a commotion erupted. This kid was incredibly brazen!

Du Xincheng wasn't just anybody. He was a seasoned Half-Step Innate Powerhouse from the Blade Forge of Evil Dragon Pool, one of the Four Great Hidden Sects. He held a prominent reputation in the Lingnan Mountains and even throughout the Martial Forest. Moreover, it was said that the number of Half-Step Innate peers who had fallen to him could be counted on more than one hand. He was far more formidable than the likes of Qiy Tong or Elder Xue.

So how could a junior like Chen Fei possibly contend with such an old fox? It was the height of reckless arrogance.

"Young Master Bai, did you hear that?" As a renowned Half-Step Innate Powerhouse from the Blade Forge of Evil Dragon Pool, Du Xincheng's pride was immense. Hearing such a bold declaration from Chen Fei made his face twitch and darken as a chill settled over him.

"Insolent! Who do you think you are, spouting such nonsense in front of Elder Du? I'm telling you, you're going to pay for this today!" While Young Lord Zhan Lingfeng had cowered before Bai Bin, apologizing for a single reckless word, his true nature was that of a classic bully who feared the strong and preyed on the weak.

With Elder Du Xincheng of the Blade Forge of Evil Dragon Pool backing him up, he was confident Chen Fei could do nothing. He snarled with domineering ferocity, determined to make this overconfident fool who dared to offend him pay the price.

"Then... let's move to the Martial Training Field," Bai Bin said with a sigh, realizing he could no longer prevent the conflict. Their Tian Kui Market had a dedicated field for combat.

"Thank you for your understanding, Young Master Bai." Elder Du Xincheng offered a cold, grim smile. He turned his eyes to Chen Fei and gestured with an inviting hand. "Young man, if you please?"

"We need to move? I don't think that's necessary," Chen Fei replied, shaking his head.

"Young man, what do you mean? Are all of you from Flying Leopard so cowardly that you won't honor the words you speak in public?" Elder Du's face turned ugly, assuming Chen Fei was backing out.

"Hmph! I thought you were something special, but it turns out you're just a paper tiger. Scared now, are you? If you're scared, then get on your knees and—" Zhan Lingfeng began to gloat, but before he could finish, Chen Fei slapped him across the face again. The crisp sound made everyone's heart skip a beat.

"Can you shut your mouth?" Chen Fei asked, calmly withdrawing his hand as he gave the stunned, cheek-clutching young lord a flat look. "Otherwise, don't blame me if I make sure you can never speak again."

Witnessing this, Elder Du Xincheng's expression became as dark as water. "Young man, are you not being far too presumptuous?" he growled, his face a cold mask of fury. Right in front of him, the Blade Forge of Evil Dragon Pool had been slapped in the face three times. Where was he supposed to put his old face? How could he maintain his dignity?

"Presumptuous? Don't you find it annoying when a fly is constantly buzzing in your face?" Chen Fei shot him a cold glance, a faint chill emanating from his eyes.

"What did you say? You're courting death!"

Elder Du's turbid eyes flashed with a deadly light. He attacked with shocking speed, a cold gleam stabbing toward Chen Fei's chest like a venomous snake. It was a dazzlingly bright short knife, its edge shrouded in a faint, heavy, inky glint that made many onlookers recoil and shiver.

As expected of a veteran Half-Step Innate Powerhouse from the Blade Forge of Evil Dragon Pool, that single move was enough to make many skilled fighters feel hopelessly outmatched.

Yet, as the crowd trembled, Chen Fei suddenly chopped downward with his hand as if it were a blade. He angled the strike and deflected the sneak attack, sending the knife flying. Du Xincheng's expression shifted slightly, replaced by a ruthless coldness. "So you do have some skill. No wonder you're so arrogant. Again!"

As he spoke, his Martial Arts Internal Power surged. A formidable qi flowed from his palm to the knife's edge. The gleaming blade changed direction, descending toward Chen Fei's legs in a flurry of afterimages. It was clear the man had no intention of holding back. Every strike aimed for a vital point, either to sever a limb or cripple him—utterly vicious.

Even Young Master Bai Bin frowned at the scene. He was displeased, first because they were fighting so brazenly in his Bai Family's Tian Kui Pavilion, a show of blatant disrespect, and second because the strength Du Xincheng displayed was genuinely powerful. Even he felt a sense of pressure and unease.

But in the very next moment, his gaze froze. And he wasn't alone; everyone present stared in disbelief.

With a crisp "SNAP!", the gleaming knife broke in two. One piece clattered to the floor while Du Xincheng still clutched the hilt of the other. His expression had also changed dramatically.

"What happened?" he blurted out, his face ashen. He had no idea how Chen Fei had managed to break his weapon. But he soon realized he no longer needed to know.

All he felt was a fierce gale whipping toward his face.

SLAP!

A sharp crack echoed through the hall. He, Du Xincheng, was sent spinning by the force of the blow, just as Zhan Lingfeng had been moments before.

Seeing this, everyone was dumbfounded. One by one, looks of shock and horror appeared on their faces.

Is this… this… this a dream? The thought ran through nearly every mind. That was a veteran Half-Step Innate Powerhouse from the Blade Forge of Evil Dragon Pool. He had even launched a sneak attack, yet he was slapped so hard he spun in a circle. What did that mean?

It meant that this young man's strength wasn't just greater than Du Xincheng's—it was vastly superior. Otherwise, such an outcome would be impossible.

Hiss…

At this realization, the complexions of many in the crowd turned paler. Sounds of sharp intakes of breath could be heard, though they were quickly stifled. If he was that much stronger than a seasoned Half-Step Innate expert like Du Xincheng, then that would mean…

"How… how is this possible? How can you be…?" Du Xincheng finally regained some of his senses, his voice trembling with shock and disbelief.

"Why not? Remember what I said earlier?" Chen Fei gave a cold laugh and suddenly moved again. His foot merely grazed the elder's shoulder, but the sound of cracking bone rang out loud and clear. Elder Du Xincheng coughed up a great mouthful of blood and was sent flying.

Given the sneak attack and the old grudges between Flying Leopard and the Blade Forge of Evil Dragon Pool, Chen Fei had no reason to hold back. Besides, the entire purpose of his visit today was to establish his might.
