Chapter 0413: The Text Message from Cyprus

Chen Fei's calm voice echoed in the ears of Bishop Sise and Dagondo. Both men instantly felt goosebumps rise on their skin, and Dagondo even had the distinct illusion that his back was slick with sweat, his shirt soaked through. Bishop Sise, however, simply furrowed his brows. He couldn't believe that even after he had lowered his stance so significantly, this Eastern Lad still wanted to negotiate terms.

This made him deeply uncomfortable. After all, who was he? Sise. He was one of the nine great bishops of the Holy Church of the Divine Holy Church, a distinguished SS Rank Holy Warrior! When had he ever been treated with such frustrating disrespect?

But after frowning and remaining silent for a long moment, he finally shook his head. His eyes locked onto Chen Fei as he slowly asked, "Alright… Your Excellency, what are your conditions?"

Although Sise indeed possessed the strength to contend for the apex of the Western Dark World, the problem was that the Eastern Lad standing before him seemed his equal, if not his superior. After all, Sise knew he couldn't confidently beat Jack the Blade, and killing him was even more unrealistic. Yet, this young man had done it.

The entire First-Class Assassin Organization—Crimson Fang—had been annihilated.

Such a terrifying achievement forced him to think, and think again. If they were to fight, it would surely end badly. At that point, even the Nuo Deng Family behind him would likely suffer significant repercussions.

Is it even possible for such an incredibly powerful young man from the East to lack the backing of a powerful force? One could guess the answer without thinking too hard. After all, the whole world knew about that ancient and mysterious country. Those so-called Ancient Martial Artists were definitely the most enigmatic and least provokable group of people on Earth. Accidentally stirring up a hornet's nest could provoke a whole swarm of terrifying old masters who engaged in what they called 'protecting their own'. The potential loss was far too great. It just wasn't worth it over a single condition.

Perhaps this was prudence. This was wisdom.

"You agree?"

Hearing the bishop's words, Chen Fei was actually the one who was slightly taken aback. He hadn't expected the other party to really agree. At that thought, he couldn't help but shake his head and chuckle softly. "Actually, I haven't really thought of any conditions. How about this? Your Nuo Deng Family owes me a favor. What do you say?"

In fact, his so-called condition was merely a test. He was surprised that the other party had actually agreed. As for the condition itself, he hadn't really thought of one… but it didn't matter.

"Owe you a favor?"

Bishop Sise's brows twitched. He hadn't expected Chen Fei to make such a request. A favor… could be something small, or it could be something immense.

Still, he shook his head slightly and looked at Chen Fei with a placid gaze, saying slowly, "Fine. As long as you are willing to return the Glory Page to us, I can, on behalf of the Nuo Deng Family, acknowledge that we owe you a favor. As long as I, Sise Norton, am alive, this favor will be valid for life."

His words clearly left some leeway for the Nuo Deng Family, making the promise more of a personal commitment from Bishop Sise Norton himself. Chen Fei didn't pay much mind to such little tricks.

For him, this so-called favor was just a formality. He just didn't want to give away his spoils of war for nothing.

"Take it."

With that thought, he simply took the Glory Page from its wrapping and nonchalantly tossed it over.

"What is this? Why is the Glory Page damaged?"

But upon seeing the page's dim luster and the visible cracks, Bishop Sise's expression changed abruptly. His face darkened. "What's going on?"

It turned out that while he had seen Chen Fei fight Dagondo, he had missed the very beginning of the encounter when Chen Fei first took out the Glory Page. Naturally, he had no idea that their Nuo Deng Family's lost Holy Artifact had been damaged. This was certainly not good news for their family; in fact, it was rather difficult to accept.

"It was already like this when I got it," Chen Fei said, his eyes narrowing slightly as he watched the bishop's reaction. "What, are you thinking of going back on your word, sir?"

Even though Chen Fei's tone was mild, it sent an inexplicable jolt of fear through Bishop Sise. A cold sweat instantly beaded on his back and neck. He knew with absolute certainty that if the word "renege" left his lips, Chen Fei would immediately turn hostile. After all, what could be more infuriating than being played for a fool? Very few things, surely.

"Your Excellency, please rest assured. The Nuo Deng Family is an honest and trustworthy family and would never resort to such scoundrelly actions," Bishop Sise said, clearly wanting to know the reason. "However, could you please tell me what happened? Logically, our family's Holy Artifact should not be damaged so easily."

"I hope so."

Hearing this, the coldness on Chen Fei's face finally thawed slightly. He extended a finger, pointing at the cracked area on the Glory Page. "Carefully sense the dark elemental energy lingering in the cracks," he said slowly. "You might be able to guess some of the answers."

"Dark elemental energy!?"

The bishop's expression changed drastically. He immediately focused all his attention on the cracked Glory Page. After a long moment, his face turned grim, and he cursed angrily, "That damned Jack the Blade! He actually dared to infuse his body's entire dark essence into the Holy Artifact! Doesn't he know that the elements of light and dark are fundamentally incompatible? Damn it, that foolish fam—"

As he ranted, his expression suddenly turned to one of abject horror, and he looked at Chen Fei in disbelief. He was well aware that while Jack the Blade's act would have a huge impact on the Holy Artifact of Light—the Glory Page—the resulting one-time explosion of power was nothing short of apocalyptic.

And yet, even after Jack the Blade had resorted to such a drastic, self-destructive act, he had still died at this man's hands. Could... could it be that this Eastern Lad's strength was already enough to completely crush him? But how is that possible!?

"Thank you for informing me. Since that is the case, we shall take our leave." At that thought, even with his composure and strength, Bishop Sise couldn't help but give Chen Fei a deep, meaningful look. He then casually put away the Glory Page, turned, and shakily departed.

Seeing this, Dagondo naturally didn't dare to linger and immediately followed the bishop.

Ever since Chen Fei had displayed his terrifying strength and completely suppressed him, Dagondo had not uttered another word. He had stood obediently to the side, silently waiting for the discussion between his family's Bishop Sise and the other party to conclude.

He was keenly aware that this was the chasm between their levels of strength, the clear distinction between the powerful and the weak. It was an insurmountable hierarchy. After all, if he had truly enraged Chen Fei just now, it was questionable whether he would have kept his life.

But regardless, the outcome was good. At the very least, they had successfully retrieved their family's sacred relic—the Glory Page.

"The Nuo Deng Family?"

As Bishop Sise and Dagondo's figures gradually vanished into the distance, Chen Fei shook his head with a faint smile. He lazily clasped his hands behind his neck, stretched, and began a leisurely stroll along the tranquil and beautiful Arno River.

It was a rare trip abroad to Italy, so naturally, he wanted to walk around and see the sights, just as he had previously chosen to traverse half of the Eurasian continent. It was a truly new and captivating experience, one that he found himself drawn to.

Time slipped by happily, and before he knew it, Chen Fei's injuries were almost fully healed.

During this period, he spent five days touring Italy's world-famous city of Venice, the southern Sicily Island, and Milan. These places were so enchanting that even a laid-back person like Chen Fei fell in love with the feeling of being a tourist. Italy was indeed a country worth visiting.

Just as he was pondering whether it was time to leave this country that had given him so many wonderful memories, he suddenly received a cryptic text message.

It contained only one word: Cyprus…

The sender was signed: Shadow Immortal Dance.

Ah, I almost forgot… Chen Fei recalled with some apology that a simple girl with whom he had made a pinky promise and "sealed the pledge" had been waiting for him for over a month. With that in mind, he didn't dare to delay in Italy any longer and immediately set off for Cyprus.

Of course, this time he flew. From Rome, Italy, he boarded a direct flight to Cyprus.

Just as Chen Fei left Italy for Cyprus, a world away in the Capital City, Sunx Long's cousin, Wuu Xiaojun, appeared in a panic at a high-end club. He found Young Master Sunx just as the latter was preparing to enjoy the "personal services" of some recently acquired "fresh goods."

Wuu Xiaojun stammered, "Co-cousin, it's bad! Something's happened!"

"Something's happened? What could... Get out of here first." Young Master Sunx was stunned for a moment. Then, as if remembering something, his expression changed. He kicked the scantily clad, seductive young woman beside him. "Get out!"
