The Graceful and Stunning Boss's Wife

Chapter 337: Shameless Workers

Half an hour later, Su Ming arrived at the location Yang Chang mentioned.

Inside an unfinished fountain pit, an older woman was sitting and sobbing, seemingly not in a good state.

Seeing Su Ming arrive, Yang Chang's face immediately lit up with a smile, as if he had seen a savior, and he quickly went over to greet him.

The other workers sitting around resting also showed happy expressions upon seeing Su Ming.

They all knew well of their boss, Su Ming. Although young, he was easygoing and not at all pretentious.

Every time they saw him, he treated them to food and drinks, and was particularly polite. So naturally, they were pleased to see Su Ming.

"Hello, boss!"

Many workers stood up and said respectfully to Su Ming.

"Hello, hello! Everyone, please rest first. Don't worry about this; I will handle it."

Su Ming nodded to everyone and then walked to the side with Yang Chang.

"Yang Chang, what's going on? What are these two people doing sitting here?"

Su Ming glanced at the two middle-aged women sitting in the pit and couldn't help but ask.

"It's nothing really. We are building this fountain and need to lay an underground pipeline beneath the surface they're working on."

"Their surface isn't finished yet, and it won't delay them. Besides, I've negotiated with them that we'll take waterproofing measures, which won't affect their project."

Yang Chang explained the situation in detail, originally both construction teams had agreed on. Their foreman also consented.

Yang Chang thought this could be settled with a meal for the neighboring team, nothing major.

But when they started construction, the neighboring crew suddenly turned hostile, faster than flipping a book.

Not only did they refuse to let us lay the pipes, but they also smashed the pipes we laid to their side.

Our workers couldn't take it and had a physical altercation with the neighboring crew.

During the tussle, a female worker from next door fell to the ground and ended up lying in the pit intended for the fountain, refusing to leave.

"That's it? There's no injury, so it's not a big deal. If worse comes to worst, give her some money to make them go away."

Su Ming glanced at the two middle-aged women, furrowing his brows.

"I thought so too, but they won't budge and insist on staying here. They even threatened to report us to some TV station for violent construction, turning this into a mess..."

Yang Chang sighed helplessly, never having encountered such unreasonable people.

Su Ming's gaze finally fell on the two middle-aged women chatting in the pit.

These two women wore hats and although their clothes were dirty, they weren't injured, much less involved in any violence.

"Ladies, shouldn't you get up? We are all colleagues here, no need to make this so tense."

Su Ming said lightly with his arms crossed,

thinking about how to resolve the situation.

Hearing Su Ming's words, the two middle-aged women raised their heads to look at him.

"Who are you?"

The woman looked at Su Ming with puzzled eyes.

"Who am I? Heh, my name is Su Ming."

Su Ming chuckled coldly, then continued, "This is not a big deal, let's sit down and talk it through. How about we each take a step back?"

"Talk it over? What do we have to discuss with you?"

The woman sneered, her eyes scanning Su Ming up and down, seemingly assessing his worth.

Though these two middle-aged women dressed plainly, they could see that Su Ming was tall and handsome, and had arrived in a luxury car, clearly not an ordinary person.

Perhaps he was the big boss of the neighboring crew, and if they could extort some money from him, they would never have to worry about food and drink for the rest of their lives.

They had been toiling away at the construction site, but making money like this was much easier.

"If you want to continue construction, there's no way! I'm telling you, you hit people today, and I will report you!"

One of the women shouted loudly, causing Yang Chang beside her to frown. He hated dealing with this the most.

These people were like pigs unafraid of boiling water, and provoking them would definitely damage their reputation.

"Hit people? Did any of my workers hit you?"

Su Ming turned to look at the crowd behind him, and all the workers shook their heads.

Such old women, they wouldn't even bother paying attention to, let alone hit them.

"I don't care, their words mean nothing. We're not leaving today."

The woman shouted their stance, and the other workers from their team gathered around, clearly intent on protecting her.

Su Ming raised an eyebrow and realized that they were obviously here to cause trouble on purpose.

Someone must have been paying them to make things difficult for them, and Su Ming couldn't really do anything to them, having no real solution.

After all, they were just ordinary laborers, working to make money. Su Ming decided to pay them off first to continue his project.

As for the person behind them, he would investigate that later.

"So what exactly do you want to do?"

Su Ming asked, frowning.

"We're not making it hard for you. Give us two million each, and we'll leave."

The middle-aged woman pointed a finger at Su Ming, smiling as she spoke.

Su Ming was taken aback by her words. The logic of these two middle-aged women was truly outlandish.

Making such an outrageous demand; two million, more than they would earn from the entire project. They were each asking for two million.

With two million, they wouldn't have to worry about food or drink for the rest of their lives, living off the interest from the bank.

"The greed of a serpent swallowing an elephant, two million won't kill you! How can you even say such disgraceful things!"

"Really, do you think our boss is stupid? Asking for two million, why not go for two billion!"

"Just look at your demeanor, playing innocent. I really want to smack you a couple of times!"

"Boss Su, don't listen to their nonsense, don't give them two million!"

The many workers behind couldn't help but shout out. They were upset on Su Ming's behalf as he treated them well.

Some of the workers were itching to give these two cheeky women a slap each.

But the neighboring crew wasn't just sitting idle either, each holding their tools, one group staring defiantly at the other.

Su Ming knew very well that if things got out of hand, it would become a gang fight.

Not to mention a trip to the police station, but it would have a severe negative impact on their company's reputation.

If this incident spread, no one might dare to hire them for projects again.
