Sole Sword Supremacy

Chapter 134: Sword Intent within the Ice Sculpture (Part 1)

"Brother Wang?"

Forcing himself to suppress his emotions, Tang Mo turned to Wang Junze, his voice trembling a bit as he tentatively asked.

This form of address was quite interesting. Since entering the ruins, Tang Mo had always referred to Wang Junze as Young Master Wang, but now he reverted to Brother Wang, subconsciously wanting to draw closer to Wang Junze.

There was no other way; there were simply too many Ice Crystal Tigers here.

Seven or eight Ice Crystal Tigers were no joke. Without the help of Wang Junze and Xin'er, let alone defeating them, Tang Mo and the other Divine Blade Sect disciples might end up being devoured instead.

"Let's do it. Xin'er and I will handle half, and the rest is up to you."

With a slight nod, Wang Junze replied softly.

Since they had battled before, Wang Junze knew that these Ice Crystal Tigers posed no major threat to him and Xin'er. But naturally, it was not right to allow Tang Mo and the others to reap the benefits for nothing. Letting the Divine Blade Sect handle half was the proper course.

"That's enough, thank you, Brother Wang!"

A gleam of excitement flashed in Tang Mo's eyes as he readily agreed.

Nodding, Wang Junze took a step forward, with his sword already slashing toward the Ice Crystal Tigers ahead.

"Roar!"

Sensing the hostility from Wang Junze and his group, the Ice Crystal Tigers immediately launched a counterattack.

In an instant, the two sides clashed fiercely.

However, in just a hundred breaths or so, Wang Junze and Xin'er had already killed four Ice Crystal Tigers. As for Tang Mo and his side, they were still struggling, but Wang Junze had no intention of assisting further and instead walked straight toward the Ice Sculpture.

If Tang Mo couldn't handle the remaining Ice Crystal Tigers, they had no right to fight for the Ice Sculpture. If they died, it would be their own fault.

As Wang Junze approached, he could more clearly sense the power contained within the Ice Sculpture.

Unlike the small pieces of Ice Crystal, the energy emanating from this Ice Sculpture was enough to envelop an area of about ten meters. As long as one stepped into this range, True Qi would naturally circulate, allowing them to absorb its power.

However, what Wang Junze cared about was not the power, but the Ice Sculpture itself!

This Ice Sculpture was actually humanoid. Although the face was somewhat blurred and unclear, it was definitely crafted in a human form, holding an Ice Sword. The most crucial part was... the posture of the Ice Sculpture!

Others might not perceive anything unusual, but Wang Junze was all too familiar with the shape of this Ice Sculpture.

Because it was simply Chess Swordsmanship, the starting move of the first sword, Initiate the Game.

In an instant, a storm surged in Wang Junze's heart as he stared intently at the Ice Sculpture.

Although he had some speculations before, speculation and reality are ultimately different. Until this moment, Wang Junze was utterly certain that this ruin must relate to the sect that created Chess Swordsmanship!

But why did this Ice Sculpture not contain any Sword Intent?

Seeing Wang Junze absorbed in the Ice Sculpture, Xin'er immediately realized that Wang Junze had discovered something and silently stepped forward to stand by his side. This step was not just to guard against the Ice Crystal Tigers, but also against Tang Mo and the others.

After another half moment or so, Tang Mo and his group finally killed the last Ice Crystal Tiger, albeit at a significant cost, with almost everyone, including Tang Mo, injured.

At this moment, they plopped straight down onto the snow in front of the Ice Sculpture, yet their brows were still full of joy.

However, soon Tang Mo and his group also noticed Wang Junze's unusual behavior. Following his gaze, they examined the Ice Sculpture carefully but couldn't discern anything different.

Of course, in such a situation, no one dared to step forward and ask. Ignoring whether they would interrupt Wang Junze's comprehension, merely Xin'er's indifferent gaze deterred them.

Previously, they had all witnessed Xin'er intimidating Jing Yuan, and honestly, they feared Xin'er more than Wang Junze.

Time passed slowly.

After about another quarter of an hour, Wang Junze suddenly moved, the Dragon Roar Sword abruptly unsheathed, adopting a stance almost identical to that of the Ice Sculpture.

Instantly, a terrifying Sword Intent burst forth from Wang Junze!

This in itself was not a big deal, yet what truly shocked Tang Mo and the others was that almost at the moment Wang Junze executed this sword move, the Ice Sculpture seemed to come to life, emitting an equally terrifying Sword Intent!

A fierce wind and snow swirled around them, completely enveloping Wang Junze and the Ice Sculpture together.

Under such dreadful pressure, let alone Tang Mo and his group, even Xin'er was forced to step back, though Xin'er's eyes gleamed with a hint of brightness!

Although nobody knew exactly how Wang Junze achieved this, it was clear to all that Wang Junze had indeed activated the hidden opportunity within the Ice Sculpture.

Even Tang Mo couldn't help but show a trace of envy in his eyes at this moment.

Unfortunately, despite the opportunity being right before them, they could only watch helplessly, unable to gain any benefit from it.
