While wrapping her face, she also wrapped her chest with strips of cloth, which made her appear as ample as any other female of the Horned Race.
The small masked girl from the Ox Race blocked the scar-faced man's group: "Robbing and extortion in broad daylight, bullying a girl, let's go confess to the Goddess."
The members of the Sandbone Group looked at each other: We didn't take anything, did we?
"Little sister," Dorothy, who had been hiding behind Li Ang, said to the girl: "We weren't robbed, thank you, but don't provoke them on your own."
"Ah, it's that little girl." Merchants not far away began to discuss.
"I heard she swept through the underground fighting arena; she won all the bets today."
"The organizers said they won't hold any more matches for the time being; they're investigating to see who sent her to ruin the place."
The merchants' words also reached Zoe's ears.
"She finished all the fights?"
Zoe pouted unhappily and said to Li Ang: "See, you wouldn't let me fight, and now I didn't even have a chance."
Upon learning that Li Ang and the others were not actually robbed, the Ox Race girl was stunned for a moment and fell into a brief contemplation.
Then, she said in a cute childish voice, "W-Whether something is evil, it should depend on the action, not the outcome. The doctrine wrote this...should be..."
Sigh, a Paladin. Li Ang sighed inwardly.
Though the Paladins of Nebis are not exactly the same as those in some TRPGs on Earth, where powers are gained through vows which must be honored for life, always cautious not to break them, yet they also must adhere to certain codes to grow in power.
This girl's panel clearly states her profession, so in larger matters, she must be kind and just.
"Today really is cursed!"
The scar-faced man was furious: "It's just young girls being arrogant, do you really think the Sandbone Group is vegetarian?"
He raised his hand to grab the Horned Race girl.
Then he disappeared.
It took a while for people present to find him plastered against a wall not far away.
The girl retracted her small hand, looked at her palm, and said, "I didn't hold back my strength again."
"You did great!"
Zoe rushed out, coming to stand beside the Horned Race girl: "I'm Zoe, thank you for standing up for us, I've been annoyed by them for a long time!"
Members of the Sandbone Group pulled out their weapons and charged over, but Zoe's Wind Breath Sword slashed forth first, using Earth Swordsmanship to strike the blunt side of the rock, knocking them dazed to their knees.
A sky pirate lunged at the Horned Race girl, and she grabbed his head, then easily lifted him like a piece of candy floss.
It was only then she reacted to Zoe's words: "Ah, oh, I'm ALulu."
Zoe and ALulu clashed with the sky pirates.
They quickly beat down a group of sky pirates, and in the distance, more of their patrolling comrades were coming, like endless minions spawning in a game, no matter how many were defeated.
The sandland merchants once dared not resist the King of Platinum and the entire massive sky pirate crew, but now they cheered on from the sidelines.
"Go for it, little girls! Beat these thieves to death!"
"Remember to run towards the northwest after the fight; it's easier to shake them off there."
"Kick him in the balls! If your man cheats on you in the future, kick him the same way!"
No need to remind that, Li Ang thought sarcastically.
The two petite girls fought fiercely, and the downed sky pirate members increased in number.
Compared to these bandits in their garbage equipment, one girl had Star Soul powers, and the other had a Powerful God Body, completely overwhelming the sky pirates who were mostly Tier 2 with a few Tier 3.
Previously, Li Ang was thinking of finding suitable battles for Zoe, to help her understand her true strength.
In fact, among people of her tier, she's extraordinary; even some in the Transcendent Realm can't deal with her.
With her Wind and Earth Swordsmanship, the girl switched deftly, as a Level 3 warrior approached with a hammer behind a shield-bearing sky pirate. When Zoe's Wind Blade forced the shield bearer back a few steps, the warrior took the opportunity to swing the hammer sideways, yet Zoe didn't even dodge, directly bearing the blow.
The heavy hammer struck a suddenly emerging layer of the Shield of Rock and Soil, the Star Soul Material Shield of the Earth Serpent, not wavering in the slightest under the attack.
While the attacker was stunned, Zoe switched to Earth Swordsmanship slashes, transforming the material shield attached to her sword, extending it to a giant rod of earth and rock, smashing the opponents into the ground together with their hammer.
"Amazing," ALulu sighed beside her.
"You're amazing too!" Zoe laughed.
They even made friends... Li Ang rubbed his temples.
"Who am I, where am I, and what am I doing here?"
As the situation became more chaotic, Li Ang couldn't help but ponder why he came to this island in the first place.
Dorothy rested her chin on his shoulder, whispering in his ear: "Brother, brother, see how wild they are, always causing trouble."
"..."
"I'm different; I'll be good and listen to you."
"Give it a rest."
"Hmm."
Li Ang summoned his magic power, calling forth a Wind Elemental aggregate to summon a whirlwind.
The fierce wind carried the desert sand into the merchant street outside the city, causing passersby to scream and turn sideways to avoid sandblinding them.
The members of the Sandbone Group coming as reinforcements paused due to the sandstorm; Li Ang stepped forward and grabbed Zoe: "Let's go, unless you want to attract everyone over?"
"Weren't we here to train? I was just getting into the swing of things!"
"You can't beat everyone on the island; when the strong ones come, it becomes my fight, so let's go quickly."
Li Ang's tone turned slightly serious and Zoe obediently sheathed her sword, ready to leave with him.
But ALulu seemed at a loss, standing alone in place.
"W-What about her?" Zoe asked.
Li Ang said to the Horned Race girl: "You come along with us too, let's hide together for now."
ALulu blinked, with a hint of hesitation, but followed them.
Li Ang led the three girls through streets, weaving through alleys and merchant stalls, shaking off the Sandbone Group, arriving outside the Flowing Silver Arena.
"Are we going to hide inside?" Zoe's eyes lit up.
"Don't even think about it; that place is full of guards."
The city clusters of Flashing Field span along the east side of the island, stretching narrowly north to south, with the port in the south and the arena to the north.
East of the arena are luxurious mansions of various leaders, headed by the King of Platinum, built like palaces. A grand avenue leads straight from the arena to the mansion area, with guards dressed in splendid attire standing on both sides.
Meanwhile, to the northwest of the arena lies another merchant street, selling primarily "hard goods," meaning monster materials, equipment, airship parts, and where the waters run deeper.
Explaining while leading the girls to the northwest area, they immediately felt a shift in atmosphere.
Passersby looked stern, many cloaked their faces with masks, moving with haste,
The shopkeepers weren't calling out for sales, silently attending to their work, preferring to hide rather than display, willing to communicate only when someone knowledgeable approached.
The Sandbone Group was present here as well, but they weren't as ostentatious as before, not extorting everywhere, instead seriously searching for what they needed.
"Where are we headed?" Dorothy asked.
Li Ang whispered: "The Sandbone Group will find the northwest area sooner or later; after that stunt, we have no choice but to enter the black market."
"The black market? Is it dangerous?"
"Dangerous places are the safest places," Zoe said seriously: "That's how it goes in The Sword King's Adventure."
"You can find such lines in many books," Dorothy said. "I was asking for specifics, not for childish mimicry."
Zoe puffed her cheeks in a huff.
Li Ang explained: "The black market is a street for the most dangerous elements of Flashing Field; there's no real order or rules in there, although mutual checks and balances are a form of order.
"The King of Platinum doesn't bother dealing with them, and the Sandbone Group doesn't dare to search there casually, so they're not our concern; I'm not worried about your safety, just about keeping an eye on our wallets.
"Before entering, use the cloak to cover your faces."
Li Ang glanced at ALulu, noticing that her white cloth wrapping had loosened, revealing a small, round nose and a few strands of pink hair. He handed her a cloak.
Passing by a bar, Li Ang set Dorothy down reluctantly from his back, knocked on a hidden door, paid the entry fee to a guard, and led the three inside the black market.
This place was built in a tunnel, even with magic lamps, oil lanterns, and magic lamps illuminating the place, it remained dim. Whispers occasionally drifted through the heavy air.
He led them into an inn with a low doorway, requiring them to crouch, and found a table to sit at, as a wave of heat swept around.
Li Ang got straight to the point with ALulu: "Alright, let's talk about your matter now."
