Find a Troubled Girl after leaving the Guild

Chapter 133: Drakegrave Hollow (Part 3)

The red mist billowed up from the Magic Array, which was drawn into the grooves on the ground, and the blood flowing through it was imbued with Magic Power.

The origin of the mist was the corpses layered on various platforms around—the majority were Demons, but a few were Humans, adventurers who had strayed into this place by mistake.

The blood flowed into the array, then followed certain trajectories back to the perimeter. The Magic Array resembled a maze; though it seemed like a continuous path from the outside to the inside, in truth, it was a complex route that completed the entire journey.

"Are they transforming ordinary blood into Dragon Blood?"

Li Ang squinted his eyes. The higher the tier of the Dragon, the closer they were to the source in the Magic Power Dimension. Ordinary Power of Dragon has a Destruction attribute, whereas pure Power of Dragon is a fierce, high-tiered Magic Power.

Magic Power can interfere with and influence the Material World, but it has limitations. To transform ordinary flesh and blood into Dragon Blood, a large amount of pure Power of Dragon must be relied upon.

As the Dragon Blood gradually transformed, it flowed to the outer ring, promoting the conversion of the original blood. After many twists and turns, they pooled together, and then flowed in six directions to six blood pools outside the Magic Array, divided at sixty-degree angles.

Within the blood pools, Humans with pained expressions were bound by the hands and placed among them. The Dragon Blood, seemingly alive, gradually washed over their bodies. Amid the pain, their eyes grew more and more dazed, and scales pierced through their skin.

In other blood pools, however, were people with frenzied expressions. They eagerly knelt toward the array, each time cupping blood to pour over their heads.

Li Ang instantly recognized this as the place where people were being transformed into Half Dragon People.

In the center of the Magic Array, lay the silent skull of a Giant Dragon.

It was the size of a medium-sized truck, its fierce bone spurs and tusks were terrifying even after the flesh had completely faded away.

"To even manage to transport such a large Demon Dragon bone, the Order Sandstorm Corps truly are scoundrels," Mort said.

Li Ang carefully observed it. Although the skull exuded the Spirituality of the Excellence Realm, it didn't seem to be the remains of a Tier Nine Magical Disaster.

He switched to the Spiritual Horizon, and then he understood.

Li Ang pointed out a horn on the skull to Mort: "That is the remnant of the Tier Nine Demon Dragon."

A slightly darker colored Dragon Horn was spliced onto the massive skull. It seemed not quite dead yet, as the edge's keratin had already consumed much of the original Dragon Horn.

"I see," Mort realized.

He spoke again with Li Ang, "Farina said before that they might be trying to use this power to resurrect a Demon Dragon."

Relying on the power of that Tier Nine Dragon Horn, and using the large dragon skull as a dispersement tool, the Bailong Worshipers executed their conspiracy beneath the Flashing Field's surface.

"Just the collected flesh and blood alone isn't sufficient to resurrect a Demon Dragon," Li Ang noted.

"Farina is over there," Mort said worriedly, pointing towards above the Dragon Bone.

Suspended above the Dragon Bone was a blood-colored "bubble." A flame-like Witch floated within, sitting cross-legged in the air. Above her, a Magic Staff that appeared to be an Energy Core with burning flame was placed horizontally across her lap. Under her guidance, the Power of Dragon spread outward, clashing against the retreating bubble.

Her Spirituality was very active, and as far as Li Ang understood her, it wasn't truly a Tier Nine Demon Dragon—it couldn't possibly destroy her.

However, the cultists certainly wouldn't provide her with any good treatment. After being trapped, she was undoubtedly starving for many days, and now her exquisite face was marked with emotions on the verge of eruption.

Li Ang took a step forward, revealing his figure.

Farina immediately looked towards him. Upon realizing it was him, her face first showed joy, but then it turned with a hint of grievance, looking over with a complicated expression as she laughed while gritting her teeth.
