Find a Troubled Girl after leaving the Guild

Chapter 134: Ambiguous Old Friends (Part 2)

"It was something assisted by the people from the Banquet of the Gods, and as a return, I worked for them for a period."

Farina pouted, looking pitiful: "The enemies back then were really strong."

She suddenly leaned close to Li Ang, the softness of her body transmitting a scorching heat, a scent like pine roasted by flames rose into his nostrils.

"You don't need to tell me that."

Li Ang wasn't too used to her kind of closeness, even many years ago. That tall mature figure with exaggerated curves, he'd never seen anything like it except in the Ox Race.

"Oh?" Farina seemed even more interested, and leaned in closer to him.

"That kind of shyness at the age of teens was the cutest, later you always wore a stern face calculating this and that. Could it be that after reopening the group, your mentality has returned to the past?

"If you keep being so cute, big sister will find you more and more appetizing."

Farina tried to grasp Li Ang's hair for a rough squeeze, but he dodged beforehand.

"Your fetish for younger is really... I'm almost becoming an old uncle."

Li Ang helplessly jumped off the Dragon Bone.

"Not everyone can do it, you still have that doll face, I think I heard of a spell somewhere that makes people younger... Let big sister see your expression just now."

Farina chased after him.

Mort crossed his arms and looked up at the sky, pretending not to notice this slightly ambiguous scene.

...

Northeast of the city cluster, Blood Eagle Achilles Samlo led his men, traversing through the bustling avenue.

He wielded dual swords, walking at the forefront, surrounded by the elite of The Sandbone Group, followed by regular members, each holding weapons, swaggering arrogantly through the streets.

Every stall or vehicle blocking their way was hacked and smashed into pieces, accompanied by taunts and curses, and wild laughter.

All under Achilles's approval.

The Sandbone Group smashed and looted along the way, destroying the central greenbelt and fountains of the road.

The entire group advanced towards the Platinum Hall.

Seeing their menacing momentum, the guards of the Platinum Hall, though aware they were allies, suddenly felt something was wrong and stepped forward to stop them.

"What are you doing?"

"The Sandbone Group? Haven't you received enough of the Platinum King's rewards and now want to rob?"

Without a word, Blood Eagle cut a guard in front of him into two with a single swing.

He swung the Bloodthirsty Blade and said to his men: "Charge in, find the Platinum King's Treasure Vault for me! Take whatever you want along the way!"

The shriekers of The Sandbone Group rushed into the lavish palace, and Achilles's large hands tightly gripped the head of another guard.

"Let me also ask about the location of the Treasure Vault."

Before long, through repeated brutal interrogation of the guards, gathering the leaked fragments of words, and destructive searches by the Sandbone Group members, Blood Eagle found the Platinum King's Treasure Vault.

The team's professionals grabbed the Magical Technology Hard Lock Device and Magic Dispel Scroll, employing various methods for a round of attempts, finally succeeding in opening the door.

"Don't hurry to take things."

Achilles said to the ordinary members who were eager to loot the jewels: "Go find the thing I want, before he showed me, it was a silver-white statue resembling a wolf, also equipped with a magical device."

His subordinates responded affirmatively, splitting up to search.

Skipping over jewels long overlooked, his gaze lingered on some Extraordinary Equipment, Achilles wandered around the vault and found his target at the sound of his men's call.

On a platinum base lay a peculiar device.

On the device was a statue of a giant beast resembling a seated giant wolf, so called because it was surrounded by much smaller figures of the Beast-Earkin, depicted meticulously offering flowers, wearing exquisitely sculpted long robes.

Beneath the statue was a small machine where glowing spheres encircled a blood-red sphere, resembling blood-filled, rotating.

Blood Eagle observed his double-edged blades, and the blood flowing on the blade seemed to be unconsciouly drawn by the blood sphere of the device,

"This is the Blood Control item I've been looking for. As long as I have it, my abilities will greatly enhance."

Achilles spoke to his elite confidants.

He sheathed his swords, reaching to grasp the giant beast statue.

Behind him, suddenly a strange sound arose.

It sounded like the separation of flesh.

An enemy?

Blood Eagle was startled and grasped his sword handle again, but all he saw was a streak of red on the smooth surface of the giant beast sculpture.

Is that my blood?

...

On the sand desert, The Howling Wolf entered the final sprint.

Andasu's mind and will were nearing the limit, her grip on the steering wheel and power rod stable as ever, with part being a result of overcoming fatigue using tense muscles after constant battles and maneuvers during the speed fluctuations of The Howling Wolf.

Crossing the finish line, the spectators and Reed loudly shouted.

In the Flowing Silver Arena, the cheering was deafening.

The annual event would conclude as the racing ended.

Many people were calling out the names "Platinum Ace" and "An", while a few unhappy and cursing individuals were already ignored by everyone.

Zoe, Dorothy, and ALulu clung to the top of the stands, just below the central stand where the Platinum King was seated.

Even separated by dozens of rows of seating, they could still see the obese leader's bulky figure.

Although this position was not supposed to be accessed, the guardians from The Sandbone Group had withdrawn, and as per Li Ang's arrangement, they knocked out the regular guards and took this spot to watch the competition.

The top of the walls of the Dueling Arena was built with wooden structures for shade and magical projection screens to display the racing scenes, which allowed them to clearly see the moment Andasu crossed the line.

"She's amazing." ALulu exclaimed.

"Indeed, it feels worth the trip. Similar racing events would be hard to find elsewhere, it's just a shame I can't talk to colleagues about what I've seen."

Dorothy stretched lazily: "I'm still best suited to be a spectator in a competition, fighting myself is exhausting."

The Half Elf noticed that although Zoe was very focused during the race, now she seemed a bit sullen.

She teased with a smile: "What's wrong? White Wolf won and you're unhappy?"

"Hm." Zoe grunted.

The Half Elf laughed again: "At the beginning of the race, you said if you were up there you could do it too."

Zoe pouted: "Well, she's great, I can pilot a small Flying Airship too. The first time I went to Frost Heaven Island, I played with it for a long time, but like she did, steering while fighting, and jumping out of the cockpit at such speed to fight outside, I admit I can't do that."

The young girl gritted her teeth: "That doesn't mean she won forever, that way I can learn someday too."

"Such competitiveness." Dorothy sighed.

After winning, Andasu would be awarded by the Platinum King.

This was the tradition of Platinum Racing.

On the screen, Andasu slowly drove The Howling Wolf, with a line of racing workers in front and behind her, surrounded by a crowd, they escorted the champion to the Flowing Silver Arena.

It took a while for the team to cross from the starting point of the track through the city and avenues to reach the Dueling Arena.

The Howling Wolf stopped in the central area, the crowd parted, amidst the chorus of audience cheers, Andasu jumped out of the cockpit and walked towards the steps leading to the central stand.

The Platinum King slightly sat up, his multiple chins formed by layers of fat squeezed down as he looked up at Andasu, achieving an air of condescension this way.

"My White Wolf, my Ace, your heroic grace is still so captivating," he laughed with a phlegmy voice that echoed within his chair.

And when Andasu arrived at the seat where Antorus was sitting, her body sank, and she almost habitually took a knee.

Realizing this, she bit her lip, strengthened her legs, supported her back, and stood straight again.
