Find a Troubled Girl after leaving the Guild

Chapter 139: Crimson Demon

"Do you know what that is?" Farina looked at Li Ang.

"I wanted to invite a new member who belongs to a special branch of the Beast-Earkin tribe, and her spiritual structure contains an alien spirituality, which suppresses their racial talents across generations."

Li Ang said, "I removed that spirituality, and then, those spiritualities, using pure magic material, materialized into a scarlet monster, just like how the existence from the Magic Power Dimension manifests in the Material Dimension.

"I put in quite an effort to deal with it, and now this is evidently—"

Farina interjected, "Stirred the hornet's nest? They're all actively striking out together?"

"Exactly."

In Li Ang's spiritual horizon, that red figure gathered the same alien spirituality as the Bloody Hand, but it was many times stronger.

He had previously considered asking Farina to help eliminate the curses of the Yunxiang Race one by one.

As long as she was there, that kind of Bloody Hand could be incinerated in an instant.

However, could those dormant spiritualities actually awaken all at once?

The three of them gathered magic power, preparing to launch a fierce attack on the red figure.

The red figure in the sky transformed into a red streak of light, instantly landing in front of the fleeing young girls, blocking their path.

It, or rather, he was referred to as such because the proportions of this existence's body were too similar to a human's.

He had no face, where his face should've been was overrun by incongruous red keratin and disorderly thorns, as if irrationally plastered, eternally veiling his original features.

His torso, also enveloped in keratin and thorns, lacked arms.

The center of his torso was a circular cavity, its edges ragged with keratin, and inside it frantically drew magic power, seemingly connected to another dimension.

On either side of his body, replacing arms, were three columnar small holes with each hole suspending a scarlet claw.

The scarlet arms bore elbows, which constricted into long, thick thorns.

Six floating scarlet arms surrounded his body, each palm forming a gesture—some casting spellbreaks, some in a phantom grasp, some beckoning with a hooked finger, others pressing forward portending oppression.

Such a being projected an incomprehensible sense of strangeness onto the present world, truly an alien Demon God.

"Demon..." Farina was stunned involuntarily, murmuring as if in a daze.

Referring to this demon, using "He" would also be fitting.

["Crimson Demon"]

[Your removal of the Yunxiang Race's alien spiritual curses has attracted the gaze of an existence beyond. All the spiritualities within the curses stitched together, enabling His will to project into the Sky Island World, descending here in a newly incarnated body. This is the famed Crimson Demon from children's tales.]

As such a thing approached, the young girls momentarily froze helplessly.

"Not good!"

Seeing the Crimson Demon blocking the girls, Farina immediately sent the Blazing Winged Dragon and Flam Demon Dragon to pounce at Him.

Without hesitation, Li Ang activated Spiritual Activation and Acceleration Technique on himself, forming a Silver Blade Rain into a barrier, separating the girls from the Crimson Demon.

They could only retreat backward, trying to hide behind Li Ang and the others.

"I'll cast beneficial spells on you!"

Li Ang raised his hand to quickly draw curse runes, also covering Farina and Mort with Spiritual Activation.

He then pointed forward with an arm, casting Spiritual Activation on Farina's two summoned creatures as well.

If they had to go all out, they wouldn't hold back from using the strongest support magic, only Slow Spell and Acceleration Technique were risky due to Spiritual Fatigue, so Li Ang didn't use them hastily.

The greatly active spirituality drew in surging magic power; as they attacked, thunder resounded across the entire scene.

The Silver Light Blade tore through first.

A Bloody Hand grabbed from mid-air, generating a long sword with a curved alien sharp blade using pure magic material, rapidly swinging it to counter the barrage of Silver Light Blades, deflecting them one by one.

Another two sharp claws levitated upwards, each targeting the two dragons with spiritual fluctuation attacks.

The actions of the Blazing Winged Dragon and Flam Demon Dragon suddenly slowed as if a slow-motion button had been pressed.

The Crimson Demon stepped out of their attack range.

Mort charged forward with his shield, also affected by a Slow Spell, his startled expression barely raised, as the demon had already passed by him.

One of its arms extended a finger, pointing at Li Ang, indicating that He noticed him.

At the tail end of the Acceleration Technique, Li Ang cast a sky full of Silver Light Blades, keeping this arm busy manipulating the Spiritual Dissolution Blade, preventing Him from using Slow Spell on him and Farina.

The Crimson Demon's main body, however, only had eyes for Zoe and the others.

To be precise, it wasn't that He was targeting the weak; rather, it seemed like they were attracting Him.

Farina raised a wall of fire in front of the Demon with a slight wave of her hand. It hardly took any effort, and with a hint of surprise, she immediately added two more firewalls.

"In the past, it took you a long time to strengthen spirituality, but now you have such a spell."

The witch said, "It's the first time we've met since we parted."

"Let's catch up later," Li Ang said. "Don't use regular spells, that thing will dissolve them from the spiritual level."

The terrifying flame of the firewall melted the dueling arena's ground, even affecting the mechanisms below, causing crackling sounds.

But the Demon simply stepped over the firewall, the flames retreating submissively as if they were His servants.

After He crossed, the firewall knelt before Him and extinguished immediately.

"That was the Destructive Flame of Tier Eight Magic Power." Farina clicked her tongue.

In terms of pure magic material, reaching Tier Eight is the peak, even the flesh of that Crimson Demon in the mortal world is thus.

However, Tier Nine involves aspects of dimensional application.

"That's what's called dissolution on the spiritual level; merely stacking energy attacks is ineffective."

At this time, the two dragons and one human unaffected by the Slow Spell were released from its state, the Blazing Winged Dragon let out feathers, while the Flam Demon Dragon began accumulating its breath.

Mort returned beside the two of them, sweating: "Is that your Slow Spell used on humans? That's just absurd."

Li Ang said, "Prepare your most powerful attack. I have a curse art that can similarly slow it down. Use that moment to strike it, only then can we destroy it."

Their conversation left the witch surprised. She didn't have time to ask why Li Ang knew the same spell and followed up, saying:

"Very well, I'll use my strongest summoned creature."

The witch confidently said, "That's a section of the Dragon God's power, the Demon cannot shake its spirituality."

"You do the casting, I'll stall that thing."

"It won't take long." Farina smiled, "Your beneficial spell for spirituality makes casting effortless for me now."

Mort said, "Then I'll hold off those arms the moment you both make your move."

The shieldbearer swordsman protected the Dragon Summoner, who raised her arms high, chanting words akin to prayer.

"…World Pillar, Dragon God of the fire origin, I shall build a statue attempting to emulate your holy presence, and implore you grant me power sufficient to resolve this calamity…"

The magic power she drew created a statue more than ten meters high in the air, a bipedal crimson giant dragon. The scales seemed to have growth marks like the patterns of flames, from the waviness of the wing membranes to the curvature of the dragon horns, all highlighted the concept of "flame."

Though not larger than the Blazing Winged Dragon in body size, the respect it commanded was enough to instill solemnity, and just by its presence, one felt it possessed the power to destroy everything.

Farina was summoning the "statue of the Dragon God."

The vibrant spirituality easily guided the magic power. With closed eyes, she chanted, enacting the "dotting of the eye" for this inanimate statue, allowing a transcendent will to descend temporarily.

Yet the Crimson Demon, even under the restraint of Li Ang's Silver Light Rain, was gradually nearing the young girls.

"屮t&*#Î@æ∫₠δИΤ&oω!"

The Crimson Demon "spoke."

Previously, the Crimson Hand Li Ang encountered could convey its meaning with gestures alone, but now, with its true form here, as a demon recorded in stories, it naturally had the ability to use language.

However, the language was incomprehensible to those present, and didn't quite resemble any language Li Ang knew. Even he, who understood the Dragon Language of the Demon Dragons, couldn't determine if this was a language.

Each syllable was vastly different, the tones clashing and disjointed; it wasn't like natural sentences, as if intentionally tampered to prevent understanding, warping its expression.

The Demon lacked facial features, so there was no knowing how it produced these words.

Combined with its strange tone, it was an echo seemingly from the abyss.

Despite its odd voice, Li Ang sensed emotion within it, almost like a curse or a swear?

The Crimson Demon faced Zoe and the others, staring at them with those non-existent eyes.

"屮t&*#Î@æ∫₠δИΤ&oω!"

It repeated that Abyssal Language, the emotion now even heavier, unmistakably a curse.

An arm reached in front of the Demon, grabbing towards the young girls.

Li Ang immediately raised his hand to cast the Slow Spell.

The accumulated Blade of Light surged down, slicing the arm before it could cast a spell.

The Demon turned its head towards Li Ang.

A Crimson Hand flew to the Demon's face, stretching its finger, and the sharp claw cut across the chin, directly tearing open a "mouth."

Inside the ripped keratin was a dark void, binding magic power so thick it seemed tangible.

This mouth tried to speak, yet still in Abyssal Language.

It said something to Li Ang, and in the latter half of the sentence, much like emerging from deep water, the rumbling in one's ears transitioned into clear speech, shifting into the Nebis Universal Language.

"…So, you're the one gathering them, you're the anomaly."

After saying that to Li Ang, it temporarily lost interest in the young girls and began walking toward him.

"Tracing the disturbed spirit anchor over here was no small effort to ensure your complete annihilation."
