Find a Troubled Girl after leaving the Guild

Chapter 142: Bahamut

"This is impossible!"

Farina exclaimed as she looked at the sky.

Not even when she decided to flee did the witch lose her composure like this.

The others also stared blankly at the Dragon Claw that extended towards the sky.

The purple-gold Dragon Scale, each piece intricately adorned with gold patterns, emanated divine light as if they were masterpieces crafted by a Divine Artisan.

No, the artistry of human intelligence cannot touch even a fraction of divinity.

Time resumed its normal pace, and everyone saw that the Dragon Claw that tore through space was merely a forearm. After shattering the space-time where the Crimson Demon was with one strike, it retracted to the dimensional exit, beginning to tear the sky further.

"What kind of dragon is that?" Mort asked, looking up.

"Impossible, impossible..."

Farina looked at Zoe, the flames flickering in her eyes full of disbelief.

The entire body of the chestnut-haired young girl was suffused with mysterious, divine golden light, while the Maiden of Azure with whom she held hands was engulfed in a deep blue glow, as if about to dissolve into the sky.

Both of them were in a Transcendent State, seemingly in complete sync with the Giant Dragon yet to reveal itself in the sky, unaffected by external influences.

After pondering her words for a long time, Farina finally said, "Bahamut, one of the names of the Creator God."

"The Creator God? I'm not underestimating that little cat—after all, she can both summon the Star Soul and transform—but..."

Dorothy found it incredulous and was at a loss for how to express it.

After choosing her words carefully, she asked, "Many nations have their own myths claiming they have a Creator God. Which God does this Dragon God belong to, and what is its connection to Zoe?"

The Half Elf was speaking to both Farina and inquiring to Li Ang.

ALulu said, "Isn't the world created by the Goddess? Although the 'Scripture of Compassionate Salvation' doesn't explicitly state it, many believers think so."

"I've heard that the Beast God created the land where my race resides," Andasu said.

"And that other young girl is—" Dorothy wasn't concerned about the gods; her gaze focused intently on the ring on Li Ang's finger.

"I've been wanting to ask what that ring is all about, so that's how it is. Is there another member on our ship?"

When the Maiden of Azure appeared, the Celestial Blue Ring lost its color, but when Spirituality was just drawn upon, to outsiders, it seemed as if the blue light from the ring turned into a girl.

The Half Elf squinted to scrutinize Li Ang's expression, and as she did so, the rift in the sky expanded further, with a purple-gold Dragon Horn piercing into the real world.

"Could you be a bit more serious?" Li Ang pointed at the sky and said.

"I don't know why, but when 'Bahamut' appeared, I felt no pressure at all," Dorothy sighed.

Nearby, Farina shook her head, as if only regaining her senses now.

The witch said, "Bahamut is not an ancient myth recited by a certain nation, but a name in the Genesis Poem, passed down by great beings who truly witnessed the creation of the world. But this makes no sense at all."

Everyone had the same feeling as her: if it were the Creator God, shouldn't it be able to destroy the entire vast sky world in an instant? Or create the Earth and the ocean for Nebis at once?

The sudden emergence of such an entity, causing friends who spent every day together to call out directly, felt somewhat off.

Just as Farina finished speaking, the sunset sky was completely torn apart.

Two enormous purple dragon claws pried open the dimensional passage, and an extremely colossal Giant Dragon slowly emerged. Its entire body was covered in purple-gold scales, with the sharp edges of the scales resembling countless blades capable of cleaving the sky.

Before fully spreading its wings, it already overshadowed the sky between the high walls of the Dueling Arena.

The shadow cast by the Giant Dragon completely enveloped the Flowing Silver Arena.

But those caught in the shadow felt no oppression, only a warmth as if being embraced by a mother.

The completely dazed spectators in the stands were at a loss for words or closed their eyes in the divine light, as if already transformed.

From head to tail, even without fully accounting for the tail being completely straightened, it was estimated that the Giant Dragon's body exceeded one hundred meters.

And its wings were unlike any dragon Li Ang had ever seen.

Ordinary Flying Dragons had wing bones supporting a membrane, resembling bat wings, basically conforming to biological characteristics.

Take bats as an example, their stretched-out wing's first backward bend is actually the elbow, and the second forward bend is the hand, with each bone supporting the membrane actually elongated finger bones.

But the wings of this Giant Dragon had three joints, and each joint had more than two finger bones extending downward, spreading layers of gold-red wing membranes.

At the largest joint, a wing claw bigger than its forelimb gently opened and closed, as if they were the true foreclaws.

If such wings were fully spread, they would be over three times the body length.

The Giant Dragon boasted formidable back legs, and its torso was almost upright, making those hind legs resemble human legs. Below them were also a pair of gigantic Dragon Claws, nearly as large as a Blazing Winged Dragon.

But even sturdier than the legs was its tail; rather than saying the dragon had a tail, it seemed that a pillar capable of supporting the sky bore the dragon's body and massive wings.

On the side of the dragon's nose, with a large horn, two massive branching horns grew backward.

Between the branches of those Dragon Horns were wing membranes, appearing almost as if another pair of wings sprouted from behind the neck.

The length of the branching Dragon Horns exceeded the dragon's neck, extending like a crown upon the Giant Dragon—or more aptly, a divine diadem.
