Before the path of the Goddess of Kindness's crusade, demons often appeared.
The guild's history repeatedly mentions the eradication of demons as a crucial task.
When Li Ang inquired with Baal, this straightforward Star Soul, much like Eden, advised Li Ang to continue strengthening together with Zoe, hinting that once she gains more Star Soul power, she will naturally come to know the answers.
However, the old Star Soul added that what he was unwilling to disclose was merely information, and not something to hinder Li Ang's efforts to break the curse related to demon power; as demon power is mysterious, he does not understand its secrets.
The Knight Resolution Council is currently the only place where intelligence can be gathered, and Li Ang started to look forward to reaching the Holy Capital sooner.
All matters concerning the Wotam Theocracy also included the conversation with the young bishop, Gregory.
Due to his status as both Alulu's adopted brother and a senior, and being truly related to the Star Flower Travel Corps, Li Ang also spoke a few words with him.
This person was reticent on certain matters, yet was candid in his views on the current situation of the Theocracy.
Finally, he told Li Ang and Alulu, "If you visit the Theocracy in the future, I will host you. For anything you need to do here, feel free to ask for my help."
Thus, the matters regarding the Wotam Theocracy were concluded.
The speed of Elaphia's ship was very fast, and even though it hadn't reached the level of the top-tier Flying Airships crafted by the Celestial Group, they managed to leave the Ignis Sky Realm and enter the Demon Disaster Realm within three days.
Of course, it didn't cross the entire Aerial Realm, merely took a shorter route at the junction of several major Aerial Realms.
From the wind wall at the outset, the Demon Disaster Realm seemed different.
The wind walls between other Aerial Realms appeared as if they had stood unfalteringly for ages, whereas the wind wall outside the Demon Disaster Realm had colors—vivid, twisting, and fluctuating. The wind walls at both ends of the air route were similar, visually resembling a rainbow gate.
These colors naturally resulted from wild magic power interfering with the Material Dimension, producing material particles. Due to the density of wild magic power, the particles were abundant, manifesting various colors in the atmosphere.
This scenic condition extended into the Demon Disaster Realm, and in the high winds, it was possible to see the distance gradually darkening, suggesting an unending storm resided there.
The sun still shone on the deck despite the clear sky, yet it felt as if being enveloped in shadows.
This is the impact of excessive magical disasters over the years; even without being directly in a calamity, this Aerial Realm was forever altered.
Only the conquered islands displayed different landscapes.
Since entering the Demon Disaster Realm was a first for most, Li Ang led the entire team to the deck to experience passing through the air route.
Ahead against the wind that tasted of rust and ashes, they finally saw a glimmer of light.
The sunlight pierced through the clouds, shining on an island, making it the only haven of light within the shadows.
Due to the island's vastness, opening a divine paradise amidst the dark sky shocked the young girls visiting the Demon Disaster Realm for the first time.
"Wow, what's on that island?" Zoe exclaimed in awe while asking.
"You should ask what 'isn't' on the island," Dorothy chuckled.
Having participated in school-organized learning trips to the Holy Capital, she seized the chance to show off.
The Half Elf explained eloquently, "The Demon Disaster Realm is filled with magical disasters. You could say every island is shrouded in them because the barrier between here and the Magic Power Dimension is unstable.
"But when a magical disaster is suppressed, our Material Dimension rules will reclaim this land, restoring it to natural cycles."
Dorothy gazed at the pillars of light in the sky, saying, "Even within the scope of a single island, the Four Major Elements return to order, allowing for normal wind and rain patterns, restoring the seasons, enabling plants to regrow, and allowing the land to be replowed for farming."
"This is the main undertaking of the Sky Knight Guild and the Sky Knight Orders in this Aerial Realm," Li Ang continued the explanation.
The so-called "conquering the dangerous lands" often aims at acquiring equipment and wealth to boost one's status in the entire Aerial Realm.
However, this endeavor could not progress based on self-interest alone; it is a great achievement benefiting many.
After the guild's establishment, major changes took place across all the Aerial Realms.
Most notably, high-tier equipment is not as rare as it was, even considering the lost Artifact Manufacturing Method from a thousand years ago.
This is thanks to the guild fostering tighter global connections, greatly improving the average power of Adventurers. As they return from Lost Lands with equipment and treasures, lower-level technologies have grown, promoting mid-low tier equipment manufacture skills.
Due to Nebis's long history and numerous Ancient Secret Realms lost to time, exploration and pioneer expansion are suitable development paths.
However, the exploration of the Four Major Aerial Realms was the first to conclude, and their states are now established.
While exploring Count Feinat's Mansion with Dorothy, she once asked Li Ang if he had a house, leading to a conversation about her family's land.
In the past, on some large islands, high-tier equipment could purchase a small town. Now, every major Celestial Group member is outfitted with such equipment, and yet the inhabitable land remains nearly unchanged. Thus, even with the equipment's earth-shattering effects, it no longer readily buys land.
So, those who've historically held land become richer, unless they die like the Platinum King, Lords will continue to rule.
But, everything is different in the Demon Disaster Realm.
Li Ang said, "The strong Sky Cavalry's development in the Demon Disaster Realm gradually increases the world's usable land. After the conquest of these perilous lands, islands become usable again. The Demon Disaster Realm, often seen as perilous in people's minds, is vibrant and inhabited with new residents closer to the Four Major Aerial Realms, with the Holy Capital as the boundary."
"It seems like Sky Cavalry efforts are really great," Alulu noted.
"The guild leads all of this, and the more one understands, the more respect one has for its rules."
While Li Ang spoke, he looked at Elaphia, who, as the sector commander of the Order Sky Knight Corps, noticed his gaze and exhaled with a smile.
"No need to say something against your will in front of me, you profit-seeking Adventurer minnow."
"Hey, I really do take the guild's rules seriously," Li Ang protested.
"Just kidding."
"You can joke—uh, never mind, I won't say anything."
Seeing the Blondie Douding raise her brows in mock anger, Li Ang immediately stopped speaking.
"In any case, if you want a place you can call home, to live and thrive, establishing a home on Pioneer Island under the protection of the Holy Capital Guard in the Demon Disaster Realm is a good choice."
Li Ang talked with the girls about other matters of the Holy Capital, filling them with anticipation.
Zoe slyly tugged Li Ang's sleeve, leading him aside.
"Li Ang, do you remember Mom and Dad's photo?"
"Yes."
He remembered it was taken with both of them leaning together in front of the Holy Capital's entrance fountain.
Zoe whispered in his ear, "Let's take one at the same place, in the same pose."
"Alright."
Seeing the first island pass by, with pillars of light ahead, Elaphia informed everyone:
"In one more day, we'll reach the Holy Capital Vitas."
Back in the room, Zoe couldn't resist coming in.
Experiencing initial intimacy seemed to have her hooked, reluctant to leave.
Unable to avoid it, Li Ang accompanied her through the night, and although it was a rare shared sleep, and their bond deepened, neither Xiaoniu nor he slept well.
In the morning, Zoe went back to nap, and so did Li Ang.
He needed to be well-rested, as reaching the Holy Capital could bring serenity or a host of troubles, so he slept until noon.
A knock on the door roused him, and he asked in bed, "Who is it?"
"It's me, brother."
After Li Ang granted entry, Alulu entered, carrying a tray of food.
"What's this?"
"I made this, hoping brother could taste it and give some feedback."
Xiaoniu slightly bowed her head, with a face full of expectation and shyness.
